Pixel 9 Pro XL price drops to lowest before Pixel 10 launch
Pixel 9 Pro XL price drops to lowest before Pixel 10 launch By Divya Bhati Google will officially launch the Pixel 10 series in India on August 21. Ahead of the launch, the prices of the Pixel 9 series have dropped to lowest. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL in particular is now available in India for under Rs 95,000 on Flipkart making it a steal deal to get one of the most premium Android phones. Originally launched at Rs 1,24,999, (16GB RAM, and 256GB ROM variant) the current Flipkart offer slashes Rs 20,000 off. HDFC bank users get an additional Rs 10,000 discount on EMI, bringing the price just below Rs 95,000. For more savings, buyers can also use extra discounts via UPI and exchange offers on old phones. This Pixel 9 Pro XL packs Google Tensor G4 processor. Photography lovers will enjoy its triple rear camera setup: 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto lenses. On the front there is a 42MP front camera that is great for selfies and video calls. The phone features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with vibrant color and smooth viewing. To power, the phone comes with a 5060 mAh battery.

Forget Pixel 10 — grab Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL for just AU$888 thanks to this unbeatable deal
Okay, so it seems pretty likely that Google's Pixel 10 series will be unveiled next month on August 20, but forget about that for a minute — The Good Guys has drastically reduced the price of last year's Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, making it a far better buy for those looking to keep costs down. Right now, The Good Guys has the 128GB model of Google's current flagship in the Obsidian (Black) listed at AU$922, which is already an amazing price when you consider the phone's AU$1,849 RRP. It's also in-line with what most other Aussie retailers are selling it for as they attempt to clear out old stock before the Pixel 10's arrival. However, a quick press of the 'Price Beat' button on The Good Guys website will bring that price down even further to an all-time low of just AU$888 — that's almost a thousand bucks off! Talk about an unbeatable price! Out of all the current deals on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, The Good Guys really stands out with the best bargain. Just a heads-up, though, it's only available in Obsidian (Black). To snag the absolute best price, don't forget to hit 'Price Beat' on the phone's listing page. That'll knock another AU$34 off, bringing it down to just AU$888. In our review of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, we raved about the phone's extremely bright display, clever AI features and exceptional battery life, but bemoaned the handset's higher price point and minimal camera upgrades. Well, this deal takes care of that first complaint, and given that the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro XL is tipped to sport a near-identical camera system to its predecessor (outside of a slightly better selfie camera), we think that second bugbear isn't anything to worry about, either. If there's one concern we have about this deal, it's that 128GB of storage simply doesn't go as far as it used to these days. Still, if you're willing to overlook that, this is an outstanding offer on one of the best Android phones in Australia.

Honor X6C review: Huge features in a budget phone for just £89
The Honor X6C normally costs £129.99 - which is good value - but the £89.99 Prime Day price is incredible | Honor This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a small commission on items purchased through this article, but that does not affect our editorial judgement. With premium smartphones such as Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra and Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max costing more than £1,000, you might think it's silly to expect anything impressive from a smartphone costing less than £100. But, oh, how wrong you'd be. There are a range of smartphones now that fall into the budget end of the market and, truth be told, they're all pretty mediocre at best. But I've been living with the Honor X6C for a few weeks, and I'm staggered at how good it is. Cards on the table, it is not a patch on a flagship. I'm not about to ditch my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL for it, but what you get for your money with Honor's cheapest handset is absolutely remarkable. A 120Hz display should not be a feature on a sub-£100 phone | Amazon It normally costs £129.99, but it's Amazon Prime Day week, so you can save a very decent 31% off that price and bag it for £89.99, if you catch the deal before the end of Friday. And for that £89.99, you get a 6.61 inch 120Hz display, Android 15, an Octa-core processor, 6Gb of ram, a 5,300mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor and 35 watt fast charging. And then there's the camera setup. Its twin lenses can capture up to 50 megapixels, with a f/1.8 wide mode, and a trick AI system for enhancing each image. There's an LED flash, a panorama mode, and it supports HDR and 1080p video at 30fps. The camera setup is impressive for the price, but does have a few forgivable shortcomings | Honor These are all things that simply shouldn't exist on a smartphone costing less than £100, so you'd expect it to feel flimsy and flaky in the hand - but it doesn't. It feels every bit as robust as the Honor Magic 7 Pro I've also got in to test at the moment. It doesn't have a Gorilla Glass screen, and it doesn't have comprehensive water resistance, and it doesn't have wireless charging, or face recognition, but the camera performance is staggering at this price point, the processing power is enough to handle beefy games, and battery life is brilliant. Honestly, this is a piece of tech that doesn't just punch above its weight, it steps into the heavyweight ring and knocks seven bells out of everyone, including the referee. Image quality is much better than you should expect for a phone this cheap The fact you can buy one for £89.99 if you catch the Prime Day deal just makes it one of the tech bargains of the year. It's an ideal second phone for people who might want to keep their posh Samsung somewhere safe while they go off paddleboarding, or rock climbing, or something, or perhaps a perfect starter phone for a youngster who hasn't owned one before. Or maybe it's just a way to beat the system, escape the absurd prices we have to pay for mobile phone contracts at the moment, and to go SIM-free without hefty monthly bills. Whatever you do with it, you'll love the Honor X6C. Sure, it's not as good as a £1,000 flagship, but it's so much better than it should be for a tenth of that price.
