Presale tickets to Paul McCartney's Hamilton show nearly sold out; reseller lists front-row ticket for $17,500
It won't be long until Paul McCartney hits the stage in Hamilton. But about 24 hours after pricey presale tickets to see the former Beatle at the renovated TD Coliseum on Nov. 21 went on sale, not many were left. The presale began on Tuesday at 10 a.m., and by about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, about 40 seats were still available on Ticketmaster, many of them singles. These tickets ranged in price from about $1,800 to nearly $3,500 for the 'Hot Sound' package, which includes an invite to a pre-show sound check and reception, priority entrance and other perks. The presale ends on Thursday at 10 p.m., and general public tickets are on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday. On Wednesday, ticket reseller StubHub listed seats for the show between $657 and, for front-row seating, $17,500. McCartney's Got Back tour will officially reopen the downtown facility undergoing massive renovations at a cost of $280 million. Hamilton is one of two Canadian stops on this tour, the other being Montreal. Hamilton will be the second-last stop on this tour for McCartney after shows in places ranging from Palm Desert, Calif., to New Orleans, Atlanta, Pittsburgh and finally Chicago. McCartney was last in Hamilton in 2016 as part of his One on One tour, his only other show in the city. GO train service from West Harbour Station — a 15-minute walk from the coliseum — to Union Station will be running after the event, arena operator Oak View Group said when announcing the concert. Andrea Bocelli and Brad Paisley are also set to take stage at the updated venue in December, and the 2026 Juno Awards are scheduled to be held at the coliseum in March. Error! Is Paul McCartney Announcing a Tour? Signs Point to Yes
It appears that Paul McCartney is plotting something this year, and signs point to a potential tour. The musician took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, posting an intriguing photo of two guitar picks that read 'Paul McCartney' and 'Got Back in 2025.' The post also included a link that leads to a sign-up page. Notably, one pick is white, the other is blue, and his name is in red, hinting that it may be plotting a tour of the U.S. this year. A rep for McCartney did not immediately return Rolling Stone's request for comment. More from Rolling Stone The Beatles' Apple Corps Announces Its New CEO The World's Hardest Beatles 'Abbey Road' Quiz Beyoncé Thanks Paul McCartney for 'Writing One of the Best Songs Ever Made' Once fans click on the link, it takes them to a page that says 'Sign up to receive information on tour dates, pre-sales and much more…' McCartney's reference to 'Got Back' likely refers to his last U.S. tour of the same name, which opened in April 2022 at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington, and hit several U.S. cities through June 2022 before it went worldwide, concluding in December 2024 in London. It is also ostensibly a reference to the Beatles' 1969 Number One track 'Get Back,' which the band recorded with Billy Preston. The album version of the song features dialogue from the end of their famous rooftop concert at Apple Corps in London, another hint pointing to McCartney's IG post being performance-related. There is also, of course, the song's lyrics, which reference the U.S. locales of 'Tuscon, Arizona' and 'California grass' and the 'Get Back' chorus, and it's likely McCartney will get back to the U.S. for some shows soon.
