'Wednesday' Has Been Renewed for Season 3—Before Season 2 Even Premieres
Jenna Ortega's life as Wednesday Addams isn't over yet. Netflix's hit series Wednesday has secured an early renewal for season 3—two weeks ahead of the season 2 premiere on August 6. Here's everything we know so far. Yes! On July 23, Netflix announced that Wednesday has been renewed for a third season. In a statement, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar spoke about the renewal. 'It's been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe—one deadpan quip at a time,' they said. 'We're beyond thrilled she'll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3.' Netflix's Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, echoed those sentiments. 'The undeniable impact of Wednesday resonated immediately with fans worldwide, driving it to the top of our charts as our most popular English language TV show, and sparking cultural trends,' she said in a statement. 'We are so proud of Al Gough, Miles Millar, Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and the entire Wednesday cast and crew for everything they've accomplished. On the heels of its highly anticipated season two return, we are thrilled to renew the iconic series for a third and to deliver more of what the fans love.' Gough and Millar gave a little teaser for what fans can expect from the forthcoming third season. 'Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,' Gough told Tudum. 'We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.' 'We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3,' Millar added. In a statement, Gough and Millar elaborated on some other expected themes. 'This time, [Wednesday] will unearth more of the school's sinister secrets—and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt,' they shared. 'Or, as Wednesday would say: 'Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation.'' But if you're looking for specific plot details or casting announcements, you'll have to wait a bit longer. 'Sure [I could tell you],' said Millar, 'but then I'd have to bury you in a shallow grave.' Possibly! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Wednesday team is discussing the possibility of a spinoff. 'It's something we're definitely noodling,' Gough said. 'There are other characters we can look at.' Bajaria agreed: 'There's a lot to explore in the Addams Family,' she said. This story will be updated.

My brother's a Rangers nine-in-a-row legend now I'm aiming for Open golf glory at Royal Portrush
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FOUR Scottish golfers are hoping to shoot their way into the historic books at Royal Portrush this week. But there's a fifth who fancies getting his hands on the Claret Jug too, despite the fact he's not actually playing in the Open... Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Haotong Li of China had a superb first round at the Open Credit: Getty 3 Brothers Richard (L) and Jamie Gough (R) Credit: Peter Kelly - The Sun Glasgow 3 Richard during his time at Rangers Credit: Getty That man is Jamie Gough, the brother of former Rangers captain Richard Gough. He finds himself at the top of the Open leaderboard - by proxy, if you like - thanks to Haotong Li. Gough is the Chinese golfer's coach and after a brilliant first round of 67, Li is tied for the lead in the championship. Richard Gough played a part in each of Rangers' league wins during the nine-in-a-row era during the 1990s. He also won the Scottish Cup three times with the Light Blues and the League Cup six times, plus a top flight title with Dundee United in 1982-83. So the Gough family is no stranger to silverware, including Jamie. He also coaches Scots Connor Syme and Ewen Ferguson, both of whom have won recently on the DP World Tour. Gough previously worked with New Zealander Ryan Fox, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour this season. Syme and Ferguson aren't teeing it up at the Dunluce links this week but Li and Fox are both in with a chance of becoming Champion Golfer of the Year. Gough has been working closely with Li during his practice rounds and he would've been delighted with his protege's opening effort. 'Absolutely brilliant or RUBBISH' - Gassama Rangers transfer verdict and Souttar to leave Li said after his impressive four-under-par round: "I've been playing quite solid the whole year so far until the last couple weeks, so hopefully, keep the momentum and have some good results come in.' Gough himself opened up on his busy schedule as a golf coach and said he hopes Li's upturn in form continues. He said: 'I've been fortunate. I've worked with a lot of good players, so it's enjoyable. 'Last year I ended up doing 38 events on both sides and tried to do both tours. 'And at the beginning of this year I did the first 11 of 12 events and I did most of them in America. 'Then I came back, had a few health issues and I decided not to do America after a while. More just needed some rest, really, you know. 'But there's been a lot of tests and I'm strong as an ox. So I've just been out in Europe and it's been great. The boys have done well. 'It was brilliant to see Connor win. Haotong, nice to see him getting his confidence back because he went off the boil for a few years, but he's coming back nicely. Ewen's had a nice couple of solid weeks and is starting to play well again.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

I'm 2025 Open leader and Rangers legend's brother is guiding me around Royal Portrush
Haotong Li leads the way in Northern Ireland and a famous Ibrox name is on course for a 36th career triumph Haotong Li shot to the top of The Open with the assistance of swing coach Jamie Gough. The brother of former Scotland and Rangers footballing icon Richard is steering the Chinese star at Royal Portrush. Gough's players have been flying this term with Li already winning in Qatar. The coach has also helped Scots star Connor Syme to victory at the KLM Open, his first on the DP World Tour, and the master coach also worked with New Zealander Ryan Fox, who has landed two titles on the PGA Tour this season. Gough could rack up a stunning 36th success of his coaching career at Royal Portrush if the Asian star gets the job done. Li was delighted with his opening 67 and said: 'I think 18. I tried to avoid a bogey and did it, which is great. I've been playing quite solid the whole year so far until the last couple weeks, so hopefully, keep the momentum and have some good results come in.' The coach has been part of 35 Tour wins in a fabulous career, but when speaking at the Genesis Scottish Open last week, he modestly smiled: 'I've been fortunate. I've worked with a lot of good players, so it's enjoyable. 'Last year I ended up doing 38 events on both sides and tried to do both tours. And at the beginning of this year I did the first 11 of 12 events and I did most of them in America. And then I came back, had a few health issues and I decided not to do America after a while. 'It was brilliant to see Connor win. Haotong, nice to see him getting his confidence back because he went off the boil for a few years, but he's coming back nicely. "Essentially, I had a nice sort of four-year run with him [Fox]. With me not going back to America, it's not going to be ideal for us to work together. But you always feel vested in what a player does if you spend some time with him. Ewan's had a nice couple of solid weeks and is starting to play well again.' Aussie city stunned by strange sight
Residents of a major Australian city have been left stunned after a deer was filmed sprinting across busy traffic, as experts warn of an explosion in the feral species. In the video, uploaded to Facebook, a deer leaps out from the medium strip and in front of two cars on Ginninderra Dr in Canberra on Tuesday. The driver slows down for the invasive animal, which he said was large and with 'branched antlers', before exclaiming: 'What the f**k?' Invasive Species Council chief executive Jack Gough said the video, while 'shocking', was no longer an 'uncommon sight in some of our major cities'. 'Deer numbers have exploded in recent years and they are increasingly going into our major cities,' Mr Gough said. A deer was filmed darting across the road on Ginninderra Dr in Canberra. Chris Per Credit: NewsWire 'That is a cost that's showing up on people's car insurance bill because they (deer) are increasingly turning up on roads, on train lines, and causing accidents.' Mr Gough said as deer numbers grew, the interactions between deer and drivers increased, which is a 'massive problem in terms of people's safety'. Earlier this month, pictures of a deer on train tracks near a station in Sydney's south were uploaded to Instagram, marking further encroachment by the species. The NSW Invasive Species Management Review found that more than 212 deer had been struck by trains in the northern Illawarra region alone since 2010-11. A further 107 motor vehicle incidents involving deer were also reported in the Wollongong and Lake Illawarra area from 2005-17, one being fatal. Mr Gough said the booming deer population had been met in NSW by decades of governmental delay and a lack of serious legislative action. A NSW Bill to expand hunting rights for so-called 'conservation hunters' will face a public inquiry later this year after pushback from the council and activists. The council has claimed the Bill, which will ease access to state forests for hunting, would do little to stem populations of feral animals, such as deer and pigs. Instead, Mr Gough said South Australia was 'leading the nation' in managing deer amid the encroachment of deer on the verdant Adelaide Hills area. Moments earlier the deer sprinted over the medium strip. Chris Per Credit: NewsWire 'They've got a 10-year plan to eradicate deer completely from the state,' Mr Gough said. 'That has been the consequence of some real leadership from the government, from across politics, to get on top of the issue.' For Canberrans unaccustomed to wild deer in city, the sight of the animal on Tuesday sparked mixed emotions, with some calling them 'majestic' and others for it to be shot. 'They're majestic until they write off your car and almost kill you in the process,' one Facebook user said.
