Gang of 7 fakes documents to get bail for suspects
Bengaluru: Seven people have been taken into custody following a complaint from a staff member at the additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM). The arrests were made by Ulsoor Gate police after the accused were found to have produced fake documents to act as sureties for suspects seeking bail in criminal cases. During investigation, police seized 47 Aadhaar cards reportedly created using forged papers, along with 122 documents, including land records, a pen-drive, and seven mobile phones from the suspects. The arrested men are Govind Naik, Praveen Kumar, Dorai Raju, Govinda Raju, Abeed Wasim, Ahmed Rafi and Abhishek. According to an investigating officer, Govind Naik is the kingpin and the other six were assisting him in various capacities, such as establishing contact with potential customers. Their method involved producing counterfeit guarantee documents, which were sold for sums ranging between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000 per document.

PED destroys illegal liquor
Puttaparthi: Acting on the orders of Rajashree, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Anantapur, a large quantity of illegal liquor seized in various cases under the jurisdiction of the Puttaparthi Prohibition and Excise Station was destroyed today. Under the supervision of Puttaparthi District Prohibition and Excise Officer Govind Naik, the following contraband was disposed of in the presence of local panchayat members, Karnataka Liquor: 133.2 liters, Andhra Liquor: 112.3 liters, Illicitly brewed arrack: 28 liters, Toddy: 8 liters. The destruction was carried out with the assistance of department staff. Puttaparthi Prohibition and Excise Inspector G. Nagaraju and his team actively participated in the operation.
