Lizzo's extreme diet U-turn revealed after ditching Hollywood's Ozempic craze

Lizzo is opening up about the lifestyle changes behind her impressive weight loss journey - which included walking away from her commitment to veganism. The 37-year-old singer, who recently showcased her curves in a corseted mini-dress at the BET Awards, hasn't revealed exactly how much weight she's lost — but she is sharing how she did it. In a new interview with Women's Health, the Grammy winner revealed she's adopted a high-protein, low-carb diet to help her meet and exceed her goals. She starts her day with a go-to breakfast of two scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and a cauliflower hash brown. For lunch, she opts for a shredded Thai chicken salad or lettuce wraps stuffed with tuna or sliced chicken breast. For dinner, she often opts for turkey meatloaf with cauliflower mashed potatoes and green beans — a satisfying, balanced end to her day. She makes sure to finish her final meal of the day by 5 p.m. 'I have GERD [gastroesophageal reflux disease], so my body needs time to digest food before I go to sleep, so acid doesn't roll up to my throat,' she explained. Her snacks are equally disciplined: low-sugar Greek yogurt with blueberries or blackberries, topped with a drizzle of honey for sweetness. She's also ditched her former habit of multiple daily Frappuccinos, now choosing coffee with vanilla protein powder instead. That said, the About Damn Time artist still allows herself a few indulgences, including chicken tenders with waffles, crab legs, or a coconut-cream-filled donut. 'There's a balance,' she said. 'I think that's what true health is.' Her transformation is also supported by a strict fitness routine guided by a personal trainer. Lizzo famously went vegan in 2020, but admitted on the Just Trish podcast in June that she often relied on processed plant-based alternatives. 'When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats,' she said. 'I was eating a lot of bread. I was eating a lot of rice. And I had to eat a lot of it to stay full. But really, I was consuming like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.' Making lasting changes also meant addressing her relationship with food. The Good as Hell singer has openly spoken about her struggles with disordered eating. 'I had so much food noise and connected so much emotion to food,' she said. 'If I were sad, anxious, stressed, or working a lot, I would snack and just eat constantly. And then I would wait for everybody to leave, secretly order two separate meals on a food delivery site, then order dessert on a separate one.' Today, she's built a healthier mindset and a more intuitive relationship with food. 'I'll open up a bag of BarkThins, and once I get to the fourth one, I close [the bag],' she shared. 'I'll be like, 'Okay, Melissa, put it back on the table. You had enough.' I'll grab one more for the road and then drink a sh*t ton of water.' 'It's a beautiful balance — where it's like, if you allow yourself to have something, you can enjoy it without overindulging and hurting yourself. I'm so proud of myself for overcoming that.' Lizzo also addressed speculation about whether she used Ozempic to lose weight. She confirmed she tried it, but didn't stick with it. 'If I did all of this on Ozempic, if I did all this with surgery, I would be just as proud of myself — because this sht is hard. Everyone who's ever been in a bigger body knows that this sht ain't easy. Existing isn't easy.'

Lorde Tucks Nude Photo Into New Album Artwork — And Fans Are Divided

Lorde is making a much-buzzed-about return to music this summer with a new album that boasts some provocative artwork. The vinyl edition of 'Virgin,' released last week, appears on the two-time Grammy winner's website with a 'Parental Advisory' warning label that reads: 'Adult Images.' The album's accompanying eight-page insert includes a nude image of Lorde with the camera zoomed in on her crotch, visible through a pair of see-through pants. Over the weekend, a representative for Lorde confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the image is indeed of the singer, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor. Not surprisingly, the photo has drawn heated chatter among Lorde's fans. 'opened the app and the first thing I see is lorde's coochie in my face???' one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 'WITH BUSH mind you.' Added another: 'Unless it is playing an instrument, I don't need to see it.' Others, however, came to Lorde's defense, with some comparing it to now-iconic images of Madonna in her 'Erotica' era. 'You all came out of one of these, it's the most natural thing in the world. You wouldn't be alive if these did not exist,' one person wrote. 'Wait... Is this the new album art from Lorde that everyone is talking about? It's a beautiful photo, and the entire vinyl package is, too, but come on, it barely shows anything,' added another. 'No need for all the discourse. 90′s Madonna would've [killed] you all.' Lorde, who hails from New Zealand, is no stranger to titillating imagery. The cover of her 2021 album, 'Solar Power,' found her flashing a hint of derrière as she ran on a beach. In an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Lorde said the album's cover ― an X-ray of her pelvis in which an intrauterine device, or IUD, is clearly visible ― is an homage to the Rolling Stones' 1971 album, 'Sticky Fingers,' which, incidentally, is also believed to have inspired the cover of Madonna's 1989 album, 'Like a Prayer.' 'I thought bringing that feeling to a female body was really interesting, and it sort of scared me a little bit, the image,' she said. 'I think that's sort of the feeling you need to have with art sometimes.' Imagery aside, 'Virgin' has been met with near-universal praise from music critics, with Rolling Stone calling it Lorde's 'most introspective record yet.' Inside Mariah Carey's sprawling $18 million hideaway

A sprawling Connecticut estate that was once rented by Mariah Carey has been put on the market for $US12.4 million ($A18.8 million). Now it can be revealed the common item the star refused to have in it. In a bizarre interview with Summertime Ball, Carey revealed that she's never owned a clock because she doesn't 'acknowledge the passing of time.' 'I just don't believe in it – just time,' she told the shocked interviewees. 'So no clocks?' one of the panellists asked. Carey responded 'yeah, let it go.' The 56-year-old also said she did not celebrate her birthday however she still observed anniversaries. 'I don't have a birthday, no,' she said. The New Canaan home where the 'Honey' singer lived for nearly two years, gives a rare glimpse into the life she once lived. The mansion initially hit the market on March 28 for $US13.9 million ($A21.1 million). But after struggling to sell, the price dropped by more than $US1 million ($A1.5 million) on June 1, Realtor reports. Since then, celebrity real estate agent Ryan Serhant has helped spark a surge of interest in the dwelling. The 'Owning Manhattan' star showcased the property on his YouTube channel. Titling his video: 'An Exclusive Tour of Mariah Carey's MASSIVE Estate', Serhant took viewers on a full tour of the luxurious mansion. Nicknamed Orchard's End, the pop sensation rented the dwelling for an eye-watering $US75,000 ($A114,000) a month for nearly two years. The Grammy-winner is said to have written multiple songs while living there, including her upcoming 16th album and her verse in the remix of Muni Long's single, 'Made for Me.' Serhant listing agents Danielle Malloy and Jessica Lane told Mansion Global that the star had moved out of the home in the beginning of 2025. Situated on a 6.26-acre lot, the mansion boasts 12-bedrooms and 12.5-bathrooms. According to its listing, the property underwent a significant $US6 million ($A9.1 million), three-year overhaul in 2014. The current owners hired 'world-renowned architect' Dinyar Wadia, who expanded the main residence as well as a guesthouse that sits on the estate. 'The main residence [was] improved and expanded [with] a four-bedroom guesthouse, along with a custom designed 5,000-square-foot wellness centre, a custom pool with spa and new terraces [that] transformed Orchard's End into a true masterpiece. 'In a recent interview with Dinyar, he stated he believes in today's market the main house alone would cost in excess of 25 million dollars ($A38 million dollars) to replicate,' the listing adds. The home's exterior is rightfully compared to a castle and is surrounded by lush greenery, while also boasting a tennis court and a resort-style pool. Upon entering the homes, guests are greeted with an elegant dining area complete with a chic chandelier, moulded ceilings, an elegant fireplace, and several windows that allow for natural light to flood in. There is also a grand piano by the window, which is sure to be the spot Carey belted out some tunes. Another dining area boasts wood-beamed ceilings and a large table, while a third spot comes complete with cozy couches, custom shelves, and a fireplace. The chef's kitchen is surely made for a star as it boasts a large island, plenty of cabinetry, state-of-the-art appliances, wood-beamed ceilings, and a gold stove. An office space follows the same wooden aesthetic and features built-in shelving, a wooden desk, and a large window. The estate is the perfect spot to entertain guests as it features several elegant areas to entertain guests and throw dinner parties. Another room even comes complete with a pool table for when guests want to experience something more casual. The master bedroom features a kingsize bed, large window, and a fireplace. Attached, there is also a walk-in closet, complete with a large island and plenty of shelf space. Meanwhile, the primary bathroom features a marble soaking tub and his-and-her vanities. Upstairs, there is a large playroom with a basketball hoop game and more. There is also a sauna, theatre room, and private gym on the grounds.

Lorde Reveals Which ‘Virgin' Song ‘Kicked My A–‘ to Write & Seemingly Teases Deluxe Tracks

Lorde's new album Virgin is chock-full of the rawest, most vulnerable songs she's ever written. And in a post celebrating the project three days after its release, the pop star revealed which of those tracks was by far the most difficult to create (while also appearing to tease a deluxe version of the album). Sharing the Virgin album cover via Instagram on Monday (June 30), Lorde asked fans to comment their favorite songs on the track list before sharing 'some L4 facts' in list form. For instance, the singer writes that 'David' was the first song she started but one of the last ones she finished, while the last song she started was 'Clearblue.' 'Hardest song was FD, to write, to produce, to sing,' Lorde shared in her caption. 'Kicked my a–.' It's easy to see why 'Favourite Daughter' might have given Lorde a run for her money. Placed fifth on the Virgin tracklist, it cuts right to the heart of the Grammy winner's complicated relationship with her mother, poet Sonja Yelich. 'Panic attack just to be your favorite daughter,' Lorde sings on the Jim-E Stack-produced anthem. 'Everywhere I run, I'm always running to ya/ Breaking my back to carry the weight of your heart.' Also in her post, the musician talked about sampling Dexta Daps' 'Morning Love' in 'Current Affairs' after dreaming about doing so for eight years — 'It's so sexy and murky to me, and I loved the contrast w the really organic fragile guitar stuff,' she wrote — and opened up about experiencing 'constant insomnia' while making Virgin. 'I wrote most of the ['Favourite Daughter'] lyrics, ['Current Affairs'] first verse, 'Clearblue' and 'David' second verse right before dawn,' Lorde revealed. But one fact that will be sure to catch fans' eyes in particular is that, according to Lorde, she scrapped a song from the tracklist 'last minute' — but it might just surface someday. 'I thought it diluted the vision!' the New Zealand native wrote of the cut track. 'One of my absolute favs that I wrote with Fabi.' She then hinted, 'Couple really good B sides knocking around actually.' Released June 27, Virgin marks Lorde's first full-length in four years. Despite debuting more than a decade ago, the star had only released three albums prior to the new LP: Pure Heroine (2013), Melodrama (2017) and Solar Power (2021). All three of those projects reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Lorde is now gearing up to embark on her Ultrasound World Tour in support of Virgin, kicking off Sept. 17 in Texas. In her post, the musician teased: 'Love u, thank u so much for listening. Got a show to cook now.' See Lorde's post below.
