Jeep Wagoneer Gains Two Feature-Laden Special Editions As Sales Plummet
By signing up I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy . You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. Jeep Wagoneer Super Needs To Be A Hero Back in 2021, Stellantis relaunched the Wagoneer nameplate, only this time, it wasn't as a Jeep model but as a standalone luxury brand, something that was briefly all the rage everywhere (see EQ by Mercedes, Discovery by JLR, and ID by Volkswagen). Unfortunately, this confused customers and sales staff alike, and the full-size SUV ultimately became a Jeep once more. Unfortunately, despite the change, The Drive reports that Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer sales have fallen to less than half what they were a year ago, and the only slower sellers with a Jeep badge are called Renegade and Cherokee, both of which were discontinued in 2023 (the latter returns imminently). To make the most expensive Jeep in America more attractive, Stellantis has now launched the Wagoneer Super and Wagoneer Limited, and they're basically Wagoneers with options chucked at them. What is the Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry? Watch More Wagoneer Limited And Super Special Editions Won't Stand Out Let's start with the Limited, which Stellantis describes as 'perfect for the value-conscious customer' with a starting price of $74,440 (before $2,095 for destination). That gets you a Wagoneer Series II with body-color fender flares, chrome exterior badges, lower front and rear fascias in black, and unique 22-inch wheels. Jeep has also thrown in powered side steps and power-folding rear seats (for second and third rows), a tri-pane sunroof, and a surround-view camera. For reference, a Wagoneer Series II normally starts at $63,945 with the standard wheelbase and a 4×2 drivetrain, but not all of the above extras are available here. The Super is described as 'elevated and upscale, without a luxury price tag.' At over $80,000 ($80,440 excluding destination), that's debatable. 22-inch machined black aluminum wheels are joined again by body color fender flares, power side steps (this time in black), and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof, but also a two-tone black painted roof, carbide headlights, black-out badging and front grille, a McIntosh 19-speaker sound system not available anywhere else in this class, and a 'premium soft-touch wrapped finish' across the interior. Both vehicles can be had with a long wheelbase, for the record. Unfortunately, besides the Instagram post below, Stellantis has only provided one exterior image of each new trim. The Super Seems Like A Cringey Name, But… The Super brings back an old Kaiser Motors Wagoneer variant first seen in 1966. It didn't stick around long, but the additional options and features that found their way to the model in the 1970s when American Motors was in charge seemingly owe their existence to the Super Wagoneer. Jeep flips the name to the front for 2025, giving the Wagoneer Super $3,000 worth of additions, many of which come from the Grand Wagoneer, for $2,410 less than that model at $82,535 including destination. Basically, the Super Wagoneer and the Wagoneer Super are targeting the same goal, just in different eras. Top 10 largest SUVs for 2025 and 2026: Which offers the most room?
Full-sized sport-utility vehicles have long been the chariots of choice for those who need a vehicle that can chauffeur lots of people and cargo. While minivans are a more pragmatic solution in some cases, the rugged capability, curb appeal and authoritative stance provided by today's UVs can offer a more attractive solution for those seeking a hauler greater flexibility. And if you need as much space, seating and storage as possible, bigger does truly equate to better. With that in mind, we've assembled a list of the largest SUVs on sale today based on overall length. 10. 2025 Cadillac Escalade - 211.9 inches Boasting a bold exterior design, an opulent cabin and gutsy V-8 power, the Escalade has been a standard-bearer in full-sized luxury SUV segment for decades. An adaptive air suspension also ensures a smooth ride, while Super Cruise continues to be one of the most refined hands-free driving technologies available today. Cadillac has refreshed this bruiser for 2025, an effort which includes revised front and rear end styling, newly available 24-inch wheels, and a revamped cabin with new materials and a striking 55.0-inch digital display that runs the length of the dashboard. And if you want serious power along with your serious hauling capability, the supercharged Escalade-V offers 668 hp and 653 lb-ft. 2025 Cadillac Escalade specs 2025 Cadillac Escalade interior dimensions 2025 Cadillac Escalade exterior dimensions 9. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer - 214.7 inches Jeep's full-sized SUVs offer potent engines, tech-forward cabins and a hushed, compliant ride, but it's the brand's reputation for off-road capability that really sets it apart from the other entries on this list. Sharing the same architecture, the differences between the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models largely boil down to the features and equipment offered, but even the Wagoneer feels more upscale than many of its similarly-priced rivals. There's also a ton of interior space regardless of which model you choose, and an available panoramic roof makes the cabin feel even airer than it already is. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer specs 2025 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer interior dimensions 2025 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer exterior dimensions 2025 Cadillac Escalade review: V-8 power meets luxury tech in Sport Platinum trim 8. 2025 Ford Expedition MAX - 221.7 inches Ford's ultimate people mover gets a comprehensive redesign for 2025 that includes a segment-first split gate that ups the ante for tailgating enthusiasts, while a new illuminated grille, larger displays and available 24-inch wheels usher in some additional bling. A Tremor package has also been introduced for 2025 that enhances off-road capability. The package includes an electronic locking differential, a two-speed transfer case and 33-inch all-terrain tires, along with front skid plates and running boards from the F-150 Raptor that complement its model-specific styling accents. 2025 Ford Expedition MAX specs 2025 Ford Expedition MAX interior dimensions 2025 Ford Expedition MAX interior dimensions 7. 2025 Lincoln Navigator - 221.9 inches Lincoln's three-row flagship has been given a sleeker, more tech-focused makeover for 2025, and these updates bolster the appeal of an SUV that was already one of our top picks in the segment. Big screens, high-quality materials and posh comfort abound, while an updated exterior design which features a grille-integrated light bar with an animated welcome sequence gives the Escalade a run for its money when it comes to stylish luxury motoring. Available Black Label packages, 24-inch wheel designs, and Lincoln's de-stressing Rejuvenate system add even more swank to the proceedings. 2025 Lincoln Navigator specs 2025 Lincoln Navigator interior dimensions 2025 Lincoln Navigator exterior dimensions 6. 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ - 224.3 inches The first all-electric Escalade doesn't stray far from the template that its gas-powered counterpart established back in 1999. Handsome styling, a posh cabin and a massive battery that offers big range and fast charging all serve to make this one of the most luxurious vehicles that Cadillac has ever produced. There's also gobs of power on tap, but the Escalade IQ's 4.5-ton curb weight and long braking distances make this SUV more ideally suited for relaxed cruising rather than performance-minded pursuits. 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ specs 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ interior dimensions 2026 GMC Hummer EV review: Faster, smarter and packed with new tech 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ exterior dimensions 5. 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 - 225.2 inches Not as flashy than an Escalade but more upscale than a Tahoe, the Yukon XL is a three-row SUV for those seeking an elevated sense of luxury without the flamboyance. A refresh for 2025 provides the Yukon with revised exterior styling, updated tech and new trim levels, along with the availability of a more powerful diesel engine. While the interior dimensions are the same, AT4 models are slightly longer than standard Yukon models due to trim-specific equipment. 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 specs 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 interior dimensions 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 exterior dimensions 4. 2025 Chevrolet Suburban - 226.3 inches Like GM's other full-sized SUVs, the Suburban scores a raft of updates for 2025. For Chevrolet's iconic body-on-frame sport-utility vehicle this equates to a revised suspension system, styling tweaks and a more luxurious cabin that's outfitted with a 17.7-inch infotainment display. A second-generation diesel engine and new 24-inch wheels grace the options sheet, while trim levels include the sporty and stylish RST, the off-road-oriented Z71 and the luxury-focused High Country. 2025 Chevrolet Suburban specs 2025 Chevrolet Suburban interior dimensions 2025 Chevrolet Suburban exterior dimensions 3. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L - 226.7 inches Much like the relationship between the Chevrolet Yukon and Suburban, the difference between a standard Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer and their L counterparts largely comes down to the L models' extended wheelbases. These SUVs feature the same luxurious, tech-forward interiors and powerful turbocharged engines, but the L models expand an already spacious cabin to a new level. Although the L models have to lug around additional mass due to their extended proportions, we still managed to hit 60 mph in five seconds flat with Grand Wagoneer L during testing back in 2023. Wagoneer L models score 20-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance as-standard for 2025, while Grand Wagoneer L models see engine output increased to 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque and score 22-inch wheels, a front passenger screen and additional safety features become standard equipment this year. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L specs 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L interior dimensions 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L/Grand Wagoneer L exterior dimensions 2. 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV - 227.0 inches Cadillac's extended wheelbase Escalade takes the standard full-size luxury SUV's already-formidable footprint and expands it by thirteen inches, which in turn yields significantly more interior space for people and cargo. Like the standard wheelbase model, the 2025 Escalade ESV gets revamped styling at the front and rear, a stunning 55.0-inch infotainment display that runs the length of the dashboard, and additional options that include new 24-inch wheel designs, interior themes and paint hues. And also like the standard wheelbase model, the ESV can be had with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that dishes out 668hp in Escalade-V ESV guise. 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV specs 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV interior dimensions 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV exterior dimensions 1. 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL - 228.5 Inches While there's no shortage of big sport-utility vehicles on sale today, the Cadillac Escalade IQL is largest machine out there available based on overall length. As with the standard wheelbase model, the Escalade IQL offers serious curb appeal as well as an opulent interior, big power and impressive range. And thanks to its expanded footprint, the L model offers more than four additional inches of legroom in the third row as well as significantly more cargo space. Super Cruise and a 55-inch, dashboard-spanning display are standard equipment, while GM says that the 750 horsepower on tap is good for a 0-60 mph sprint in a brisk 4.7 seconds. 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL specs 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQL interior dimensions 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQL exterior dimensions What full-size SUV has the most room? Which full-size SUV is the most spacious? The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban is the current king of full-size SUV interior space with up to 144.5 cubic feet of volume available. Which 7-seat SUV has the most cargo space? With up to 137.4 cubic feet of volume available, the seven-passenger 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL offers the most cargo space in the category. Which 8-seat SUV has the most cargo space? The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban offers more space than any other eight-seat SUV with 144.5 cubic feet of cargo volume available. What is the best SUV for big families? As the only SUV on this list with seating for up to nine passengers, the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban also takes the crown as the best SUV for big families. This Is The Most Expensive Jeep In America
Would You Pay This Much For A Jeep? If you think of a proper off-roader covered in mud, the Jeep name will likely enter the mix alongside Land Rover and Ford. Going way back to the Jeep CJ, the brand has been synonymous with hardy off-roaders that just keep going, no matter the obstacle. But Jeep, like so many other brands, had to evolve beyond this niche. Today, it has an array of posh models that challenge the best of American luxury and even a few from Germany. Here's a closer look at the most expensive new Jeep. 0:00 / -- Tesla sales in Europe drop yet again Watch More The Most Expensive New Jeep Is The Grand Wagoneer L Series III Obsidian 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian — Source: Stellantis It's a mouthful, but the Jeep Grand Wagoneer L Series III Obsidian is the most expensive new Jeep model you can buy. Many Grand Wagoneers are six-figure SUVs, but this one tops the list with a starting price of $112,540. That's before any extras and the destination charge of $2,095. Jeep revived the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer nameplates in 2021, after a hiatus of nearly 30 years. These are full-size SUVs in every sense of the term, with acres of passenger space and Jeep's most deluxe interiors ever. It's the more luxurious Grand Wagoneer that really raises the bar and takes the fight to the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, though. And, in lengthened 'L' guise, it's also exceptionally spacious. Let's look at what the most expensive Jeep gets you for your money. Design: An Imposing But Ungainly Stretched SUV 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer L Series III At 226.7 inches in length, this is one of the largest new vehicles on sale in America. A maximum width (with the mirrors) of 94 inches and a height of 79.6 inches are substantial, too, but it's the sheer length of this beast that stands out. You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. While handsome from the front, the Grand Wagoneer L's extended rear section makes it look a bit awkward from the side and rear three-quarter angles, when compared to the normal Grand Wagoneer. That's the price to pay for its massively accommodating cabin. 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer (left) and 2025 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer L (right) — Source: Stellantis The Series III Obsidian has many standard exterior features, some of which help to soften the jarring looks: 22-inch alloy wheels with polished painted pockets Two-tone exterior paint Black trim elements LED exterior lighting Hands-free power liftgate Power-deployable running boards Tri-pane panoramic sunroof Power-folding mirrors Illuminated entry Front and rear parking sensors There aren't many options on this model, as it's already fully loaded from the start. If you want something that'll scare small kids at the average crosswalk, this will do the job. But it's not the prettiest luxury SUV around. Interior: Jeep's Best Interior Ever? It's difficult to complain about the Grand Wagoneer L's interior, though. Every detail is elevated two or three notches above what one has come to expect from Jeep, from the quilted Palermo leather to the seamless integration of the latest technologies. This mighty Jeep seats seven occupants, and each one of them will be exceedingly comfortable. Even the third row has 36.6 inches of legroom, while the second row has 42.7 inches. Most of the time, you won't need to fold down the third row, as that stretched body offers 44.2 cubic feet of space with all the seats up. Fold both back rows down, and you have a colossal 112.9 cubic feet to play with – we've previously shown what you can cram into this space. This Jeep is lavishly equipped, and these are just a few of the standard items: 20-way powered, heated, massaging, and ventilated front seats Second-row captain's chairs with heating and ventilation Power tilt/slide second-row seats Power fold/recline third-row seats Heated steering wheel Four-zone automatic climate control Digital rearview mirror Wireless device charging Natural Walnut wood interior accents Power-adjustable pedals Suede headliner 23-speaker McIntosh sound system 12-inch touchscreen Passenger-side interactive display Head-up display Adaptive cruise control Night vision with pedestrian and animal detection As you can see, Jeep throws nearly everything at its most expensive model. The only noteworthy option is the Rear-Seat Entertainment Group for $2,595. This adds dual 10.1-inch screens, Amazon Fire TV Built-In, and a video USB port. Performance: Effortlessly Smooth And Powerful Source: Stellantis Jeep's mega SUV gets just one engine choice, and it's not a V8. This most expensive version is equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbocharged six-cylinder mill in high-output form, which means 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system. The 540-hp engine does a remarkable job of getting this hulk of an SUV up to speed quickly, with a burst of torque that a naturally-aspirated V8 would struggle to match. Considering that this SUV weighs around 6,700 lbs, that's quite an achievement. Air suspension helps to create a smooth and stable ride on good roads, but this is still a body-on-frame SUV, so high-frequency imperfections can't be masked entirely. A towing capacity of 9,450 lbs is excellent, so if you somehow can't fit everything inside the Grand Wagoneer L, you can bring along a decently sized trailer. What Does A Fully Loaded Grand Wagoneer L Cost? Source: Stellantis As mentioned, there aren't many extras for what is already a fully loaded SUV. However, the combination of premium paint, the towing package, the rear-seat entertainment package, and the All-Weather Mat Package brings the total (including destination) to $119,690. Other expensive Jeep models like the Wrangler Rubicon 392 still don't get close to this Grand Wagoneer L's price. If you don't absolutely need all that space, that price is in the same vicinity as the V8-powered Mercedes-Benz GLS. However, the Grand Wagoneer L will more frequently be cross-shopped with the Escalade ESV and the Lincoln Navigator L. Summary: A Worthy Escalade Rival The luxury-focused and expensive Jeep is definitely worth a look if you want a plus-sized SUV. It is immensely practical, provided you can live with navigating this beast in and out of normal-sized lanes and parking spaces. It also has an interior that matches its Cadillac rival, and more power. However, some may prefer the Escalade ESV for its better brand cachet and old-school V8 lump. Whichever way you go, these SUVs will do it all – for a price. About the Author Karl Furlong View Profile

2026 Jeep Cherokee spied: A better look at forbidden hybrid SUV for Australia
Last month, the 2026 Jeep Cherokee was teased in a pair of official images, which revealed the crisp styling of the SUV brand's revived mid-size SUV. Now, CarExpert has spied a development prototype just outside of Detroit, which has given us a better look at the new hybrid-powered Toyota RAV4 rival. Official imagery didn't show the rear, but these spy photos show slim, wraparound tail lights with chunky internals, bookending a trapezoidal area containing the number plate. The overall look is similar to that of the flagship Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs, though while the next-generation Cherokee is more squared-off than its predecessor, it's not quite as squared-off as its larger stablemates. Hundreds of new car deals are available through CarExpert right now. Get the experts on your side and score a great deal. Browse now. The belt line is quite straight but the roof line curves gently, making it less boxy than not only the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer but also the old GMC Terrain you can see next to it in the below photo. There's only a slightly rounded-off kink at the D-pillar, while the wheel arches are trapezoidal. Up front there's Jeep's seven-slot grille and slim headlights that wrap around the corners and contain U-shaped daytime running lights. We don't yet know dimensions, though we'd expect the new Cherokee to sit somewhere between the old KL generation (4651mm) and the current two-row Grand Cherokee (4915mm) in overall length. It's also unclear which of Stellantis' platforms it'll use: STLA Medium like vehicles including the Peugeot 3008, or STLA Large with vehicles like the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger. Both of these platforms support pure combustion, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. The Cherokee is re-entering production late this year after an over two-year absence. Jeep had let the previous KL generation stay in production for 10 years, then axed it without replacement despite mid-size SUVs being a huge segment in markets such as Australia and the US. The new Cherokee will be the first to offer a hybrid powertrain, but Jeep Australia has previously told CarExpert the new Cherokee isn't planned for Australian showrooms. This follows the local axing of the larger Jeep Grand Cherokee in right-hand drive markets earlier this year. Taking its place instead – while also replacing the old Compass – will be the new-generation Compass. This model has grown in size and will offer electric power for the first time, and it's due here during 2026 along with the Recon and Wagoneer S electric vehicles (EVs). The mid-size SUV segment accounted for almost a quarter of new car sales in Australia last year, with 287,637 of the total 1,237,287 total new vehicles sold bring medium SUVs. The previous-generation KL Jeep Cherokee was sold in Australia between 2014 and 2022 with four- and six-cylinder petrol engines. Production ended globally in February 2023.
