Ozempic makes its NZ debut
From tomorrow, Tuesday 1 July, New Zealanders will be able to access weight-loss drugs Wegovy and Ozempic by prescription in their local pharmacies.
Professor of public health Grant Scofield joins Emile Donovan to discuss the effectiveness of these drugs and whether the funding settings are right - with a month of Wegovy estimated to cost $450 to $600 per month.
Weight loss medication Wegovy will be available in New Zealand from July.
