Todd and Julie Chrisley spotted for first time after revealing son, 19, begged to sleep in their room following prison release

Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie were spotted out over the weekend after their first interview following their release from prison, where they made a bizarre revelation. The celebrity parents were also spotted out and about in Nashville for the first time since the interview. Todd was seen wearing a light blue polo shirt, black shorts and black shoes, while Julie was donning a dark blue top, light blue jeans and black sandals. The interview was their first since their release from prison after a two-year stint behind bars, following a pardon from President Donald Trump. Todd revealed during the interview that their youngest son Grayson asked to sleep in their room the first night they got back from prison. Todd revealed during the interview that their youngest son Grayson asked to sleep in their room the first night they got back from prison. 'He came in and he said, "Can I sleep with you tonight?" I said, "You can,"' Todd recalled during the interview. Savannah added, 'The first night [Grayson] said, "I'm scared to go to sleep because I feel like I'm just going to wake up in the morning and they're not going to be here."' She added, 'Grayson's always said, "I have two moms," because we're nine years apart. And so we've always been attached to the hip. He's taught me more than any person in the world ever could the past two and a half years.' Todd and Julie spent two and a half years behind bars in separate facilities in Florida and Kentucky, with Savannah granted custody of their youngest children, Grayson and Chloe, 12, who is the biological daughter of Todd's eldest son Kyle, 33. Savannah added, 'He thought I saved him when in reality he saved me … going through this together has been such a whirlwind.' When Lara Trump asked Grayson what his favorite memory was of having his parents back, he said, 'really just being together.' 'I mean, you take those times for granted when they are home, and then when you realize one day it could be there and the next day it's not, you know, it means just a little bit more,' he said. Todd was also asked what his first night in prison was like, and the reality star patriarch said he literally cried himself to sleep. 'I just said, "God, why? I've tried to be a loyal and faithful servant. Why are you allowing this to happen? You know these things are not true,' Todd said, referring to the fraud and tax evasion charges that landed them in prison, though they have maintained their innocence throughout. 'In my dream, God came to me and said that, "I have planted you where I need you, and when you leave they will rise,' Todd said. He added, 'I look back on that dream now and I understand when he said, "When you leave, they will rise," because they're rising through President Trump.' The Chrisley's were found guilty on all 12 counts including conspiracy to commit bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion, with Todd sentenced to 12 years in prison and Julie to 7 years before they were pardoned and released.

Savannah Chrisley Was 'Sobbing' When Trump Won 2024 Election Since Her Family 'Knew That Was Our Only Way' to Get Parents Released

Todd and Julie Chrisley sat down for their first television interview one month after their prison release The couple was joined by two of their children, Grayson and Savannah Chrisley, for the appearance on My View with Lara Trump The reality stars were pardoned by President Donald Trump on May 27 and released from prison the following daySavannah Chrisley is opening up about a hard truth she and her family faced amid their fight for her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley's freedom. On Saturday, June 28, Savannah and her brother Grayson Chrisley joined their parents, Todd, 57, and Julie, 52, on Fox News Channel's My View with Lara Trump. The appearance marked the longtime couple's first television interview since their release from prison one month ago. During the interview, Savannah told host Lara Trump how President Donald Trump's win gave her hope about her parents' situation. "Grayson and I watched the election together, and he got to vote in the election for the first time. And when we were watching it and we saw the president win, we both started sobbing," Savannah, 27, recalled. "And he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out." Todd, for his part, also reflected on the moment he learned of the 2024 election results alongside his fellow inmates. "We were all glued to the television. ... When they finally announced that he was the winner, everyone there started screaming and yelling because they knew, they felt in their spirit that if President Trump wins this election, there's hope for all of us," he said. Savannah said she remembers being "shocked" when President Trump, 79, called her to inform her about his plans for her parents. "He was like, 'How are you?' I was like, well, in the wise words of you fighting like hell. And I was like, I probably shouldn't have said that to the president, but it is President Trump," she shared during her family's interview with Lara. "A big thing was he asked Alice Johnson, 'Is this a commutation? Or is this a full pardon?' And she said, 'As of now, it's just a commutation.' He goes, 'Nope, Nope. We're going to give them a full pardon. These people get their lives back.' And I was just in such shock." At one point, Lara, 42, asked Todd and Julie would "be here today" if not for daughter Savannah's efforts. "Absolutely not," Julie said as Todd noted, "How do you say 'thank you' to someone who gives you your freedom back?" Leading up to this point, Savannah had been very outspoken amid the pair's appeal process and even delivered a speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention in support of President Trump. Due to her prison reform activism pursuits, she was even named a Senior Fellow for the Nolan Center for Criminal Justice for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He also revealed how he found out that he would be going home, recalling, "I had a staff member that came to me and said, 'You've just been pardoned.' And I just looked at him, and he says, 'No, really, you've been pardoned. It's in the news.'" After calling his daughter to confirm the news, he said, "I remember walking back from the phone and just feeling numb, not really knowing." Julie also shared her emotional response to finding out about her release, revealing on My View with Lara Trump, "I called Savannah one more time, and she said, 'He did it, he signed it." "And I just started busting out crying,' she added. 'And everyone was looking around, and then I just hung up. I was so nervous, I just hung up." The pardons put an end to a legal saga which led to the pair being indicted on 12 counts of bank and wired fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy and later convicted and sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in November 2022 (though that number was reduced by around two years each in September 2023). They immediately began appealing their case, and while Todd's appeal was upheld, Julie's was initially granted due to insufficient evidence. However, a judge later ruled that her original punishment was sufficient. They will also sit down together for an appearance on Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley before returning to the airwaves with their own podcast. Savannah revealed that the couple will be "relaunching" their podcast, Chrisley Confessions, which is under the PodcastOne umbrella like Savannah's and went on hiatus during their incarceration. Chrisley Knows Best star Julie Chrisley reveals tearful reaction to life-changing Donald Trump pardon

Todd and Julie Chrisley are looking back on the life-changing pardons that freed them from from federal prisons last month. In an upcoming interview with President Donald Trump 's daughter-in-law Lara Trump for Fox News that was shared Tuesday via TMZ, Julie, 52, revealed how she was overcome by tears after her daughter Savannah called her with the news that she had received a presidential pardon after being convicted in 2022 of federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges. Todd, 56, also shared his reaction to the news, which was hilariously distinct from the response of his wife Julie, who showed off her standard blond locks after debuting a shocking jail makeover shortly after her release. The convicted fraudsters were joined by their two youngest children: 27-year-old Savannah — who has publicly proclaimed their innocence and advocated for their pardon for years — and their 19-year-old son Grayson, who had picked up Julie from prison after her pardon. Among the couple's missing children were their 35-year-old daughter Lindsie, who has been estranged from her family members, and Kyle, 33, who has also been estranged from his father but admitted he was 'ecstatic' to learn of his parents' pardon. Curiously, the family's middle child, 29-year-old Chase, was also nowhere to be seen during the triumphant interview. Julie, 52, revealed how she was overcome by tears after her daughter Savannah called her with the news that she had received a presidential pardon after being convicted in 2022 of federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges; pictured in a publicity still for Chrisley Knows Best In the interview, Julie recounted calling her daughter from prison and hearing Savannah shout, 'He did it! He signed [the pardon]!' Julie said she 'started busting out crying' after hearing those words. She added that everyone around the phone started staring at her emotional outburst, and it a fit of nervous she 'just hung up' on her daughter. 'It was the craziest thing, and everyone was just looking at me,' Julie said to laughter from her family and the host. She added that 'most of the news that you get in prison is bad news,' so people around her feared for the worst at the sight of her tears and began to ask her if she was all right after her fateful phone call. Todd then shared his own hilarious disparate reaction, which concerned prison guards because of the lack of waterworks. 'This guy stops me and he goes, "Man, I think you just got pardoned." And I said, "Yeah, OK." And I just kept right on walking,' Todd admitted. He said a corrections officer later approached him to ask if he was 'good' due to the bizarre lack of emotion he showed. But Todd took a more serious tone as he went on to say that his family owed 'thanks to God' for facilitating the pardon and leading President Trump to show them mercy. 'Every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children,' he added; seen May 30 'I said, "As good as I can be." And he said, "Todd, you just got pardoned. They sent me down here to make sure you're OK." And I said, "Well they don't need to be worrying about me now. Hell, if I'm pardoned, I'm great."' But Todd took a more serious tone as he went on to say that his family owed 'thanks to God' for facilitating the pardon and leading President Trump to show them mercy. 'I'm grateful, because every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children,' he added in a low voice. 'And He did that, so I'm grateful.' Unlike his older siblings, Chase has apparently maintained a solid relationship with his parents like his two younger siblings. But he has seemingly been missing in action from the post-pardon celebrations that his family has engaged in. Earlier this year, Chase ran into trouble with the law when he was arrested after an alleged bar fight. According to a police report, he 'became really drunk' at a bar in Atlanta, Georgia, and 'started to act very disrespectful and belligerent.' When the bar manager asked him to leave because of his behavior, Chase allegedly ' slapped' the manager twice in the face. His attorneys subsequently denied the details in the report, claiming that 'He did not assault anyone' and alleging that he was 'calling a driver to take him home' and 'trying to close out his tab and leave' before the alleged incident. In the wake of his arrest, Chase announced on March 29 that he was 'Almost one month alcohol free' and 'feeling better than I have in years.' He has also gone all out to promote his new non-alcoholic seltzer this month. After a nearly three-week jury trial, Todd and Julie were convicted in June 2022 of conspiring to defraud banks in the Atlanta, Georgia area out of more than $30 million in personal loans by submitting false documents. They were also found guilty of wire fraud and tax evasion, obscuring their earnings while showcasing a luxurious lifestyle with expensive cars and designer clothes. After years of advocating for her parents' pardon, Savannah showed fealty to President Trump by transforming into a 'MAGA Barbie' with a hot-pink Trump-supporting outfit when she announced her parents' pardons on May 28. 'President Trump signed the pardons at around 3pm this afternoon and it's all due to President Trump, Alice Johnson, Ed Martin, all of them,' she told the crowd. 'They have truly just shown up and looked at [Todd and Julie's] case with a fine-tooth comb and they've seen the corruption.' After her call with Trump, Savannah said she arrived at her dad's prison in Pensacola at 2 in the morning on Wednesday and has been waiting there since. 'I have not gone to sleep. I did not bring any clothes with me. I did not bring a toothbrush with me. I brought absolutely nothing with me,' she revealed with a laugh. 'I'm just a daughter that wants to take my dad home with me.' When asked what Todd and Julie's reactions were to Trump's pardon, Savannah said that he was initially in total disbelief. 'They didn't believe it. [The pardon] literally came out of nowhere. As I said before, I was walking into the grocery store when I got the call from the president,' she explained. 'I was just in such shock and such awe that the president himself called me and took the time to let me know that my family's coming back together.' Savannah said that her and Trump's entire correspondence was captured 'on video' and that he had called to let her know that he was 'reuniting [her] family.' According to TMZ, production has already started on a new reality show for the Chrisleys, and a camera crew followed both Savannah and Grayson as they traveled to pick up their parents from prison. The couple's shock release will be a major storyline for the new show, according to members of the production. However, the show will be missing out on one particularly dramatic moment, as Trump's unexpected phone call to Savannah was reportedly not captured by Lifetime's camera crew.

Savannah Chrisley teases huge new collaboration with the Trumps after controversial pardon

Savannah Chrisley has revealed that her parents, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, will be giving their first interview to Lara Trump following their controversial pardon from president Donald Trump last month. The television personality, 27, also confirmed that she has joined her mom and dad for the on-screen interview – which is scheduled to air on Fox News – as well as her brother Grayson Chrisley, 19. Addressing her followers in a video uploaded to Instagram, Savannah said: 'Alright all, we are ready to go. 'We're going to do the Lara Trump Show, and I am so excited. Mom and dad are going to be on and here we go.' In a separate post, Savannah shared a picture from the green room which revealed cans of diet coke laid out on a table. 'Diet coke = filming with the Trumps,' she captioned the snap. President Trump is a well-known consumer of Coca-Cola products and even installed a special button in the White House during his first term that would have the beverage promptly delivered to him. Ahead of the interview, Lara also teased the exclusive chat in a post uploaded to her Instagram profile. In the brief clip, she revealed that her son, Luke, had made beaded bracelets for her to wear on the show. 'When your son makes you a bracelet and asks "can you wear it on @foxnews?" You wear it for your interview with @savannahchrisley @toddchrisley @juliechrisley & @graysonchrisley,' she captioned the upload. She added that the interview will air on Fox News on Saturday, June 28 at 9pm. Lara, who is married to Eric Trump, kicked off her new show My View with Lara Trump on the Fox News Channel in February. The 42-year-old wed her husband – who is the third child and second son of president Trump - in 2014 and are parents to two children: Luke and Carolina. Some fans were quick to express their anticipation for Lara's special segment with the Chrisleys. 'Can't wait for this interview!' one enthused. Another agreed, adding: 'So ready to see this interview! The bracelet is awesome. He could have a side business. We would all buy them. So sweet!' Savannah's parents Julie and Todd - best known for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best and its spin-offs - were convicted in 2022 of defrauding banks out of $30 million. Julie, 52, had been serving her seven-year prison sentence in Kentucky, while her husband Todd, 56, was serving his 12-year sentence in Florida. They couple were pardoned by Trump last month. Savannah played an instrumental role in her getting her parents a presidential pardon. Speaking at a press conference alongside her dad on May 30, she said she was 'relentless' in her mission to get her parents out. 'The biggest misconception right now is I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon,' Savannah told press. 'If people knew the countless hours, the money, and the time that I spent doing to [Washington] DC, with not a meeting scheduled, and got on a plane and said, "I'm going to be in the right room at the right time and meet the right people.'' She continued: 'I have fought hard and I was exhausted and I begged for meetings. 'I was never too good to ask and that's the thing. 'People think, you're a celebrity, you're white, you have money, that we got an upper hand, but we didn't. I had to fight, and I was relentless, and that's how it happened.'
