Notre Dame places its two RB commits on Rivals top-10 at the position for 2026 cycle

The Notre Dame football 2026 recruiting class as it currently stands, will go down as one of the best classes, if not the best, in the modern era of college football. The Irish have twenty-six commits in the cycle, a group that is viewed as one of the top collections of talent in the nation. Its image got even better recently, as Rivals merger with On3 pushed a new updated to the class. We've already seen a big-time jump from offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, and recently Keegan Pope highlighted the top-10 running backs nationally. Notre Dame has two of them on the list, Jonaz Walton and Javian Osbrone, giving them a pair of 4-star commits. Walton, a 5-foot, 9-inch and 190-pounder out of Georgia has an overall rank of No. 120, is viewed as a slightly better prospect, although you could argue that beauty is in the eye of the ranker. As for Osborne, he's got similar size at 5-foot, 10-inches and 195-pounds, is just behind his future teammate at No. 139. There is plenty of excitement surrounding this duo of commits, as we have seen in the recent years that many Notre Dame running backs have had success at this level and the next. They'll surely have yet another one taken in this coming NFL draft with Jeremiyah Love, and depending on what Jadarian Price does, there could be two. The Notre Dame running back room is plenty talented, and will get deeper as soon as this pair arrives on campus. This fact shows that Notre Dame's 2026 class is one of the best in recent memory

Not to lost in the shuffle of Notre Dame offensive tackle commit Grayson McKeogh making a huge rise in Rivals latest 2026 rankings update, the class as a whole will go down as one of the best in recent memory. Currently with twenty-six verbals, the Irish placed six of them inside Rivals top-50: edge Rodney Dunham, McKeogh, edge Ebenezer Ewetade, tight end Ian Premer, cornerback Khary Adams and safety Joey O'Brien. On3's Mike Singer pointed out that last year's class signed just one player in that range, and two in the 2024 group. It can't be understated how much of a difference head coach Marcus Freeman has made on the recruiting trail, as he has elevated it to a level that hasn't been seen often in South Bend. It's not just the lead guy either, cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens, running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider and others have played a huge part in Notre Dame recent recruiting success. There is still plenty of work to do, but this class is shaping up to be a cornerstone of the program for years to come.

Notre Dame OT commit Grayson McKeogh makes a huge jump in Rivals 2026 rankings

🚨NEW🚨 Notre Dame OT commit Grayson McKeogh ranks No. 13 and 4-stars in the initial 2026 Rivals300☘️ If you haven't noticed, Notre Dame football does not recruit off of rankings, and it has paid off big time with the commitment of Pennsylvania offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh. The 6-foot, 7-inch and 275-pound tackle picked the Irish over offers from Penn State, Alabama and others was given a huge boost in Rivals updated 2026 rankings. McKeogh rose from No. 181 all the way to No. 13 overall, making him a high 4-star prospect. He's on the cusp of getting his 5th-star as well, and that could happen with an impressive senior season. While it's exciting to see McKeogh make such a big jump, it just solidifies that Notre Dame made the right decision going hard after him. There aren't many schools across the country that do as good of a job as the Irish do identifying elite offensive line talent, as there have been many that were not as highly ranked making immediate impacts. A few names quickly jump off the page such as Joe Alt and Anthonie Knapp, great examples of impeccable scouting and disregard for recruiting rankings. Notre Dame has another elite offensive tackle heading to the program with the addition of McKeogh.

Notre Dame is projected to land 2026 WR Kaydon Finley, who is on a Texas official visit

Typically you don't see recruiting insiders projecting for a team other than the one they are currently visiting, but that's exactly what happened for Notre Dame and 2026 wide receiver Kaydon Finley. The son of former NFL tight end Jermichael, a 6-foot and 200-pounder is currently on his official visit to see the Texas Longhorns, but that didn't stop On3's Max Torres (Thanks to Ryan Fravel for the news on social media) from putting in a prediction for the Irish to land Finley. This is the final scheduled visit before he makes his July 4th commitment, so his recruitment is looking like it's trending positively to the Irish. Advertisement Notre Dame is coming off a week where it added three new commitments, offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, cornerback Khary Adams and safety Joey O'Brien. There are two other current verbals at wide receiver, Bubba Frazier and Dylan Faison, and there are more than a few prospects still highly-considering joining the pair. Obviously Finley, along with Devin Fitzgerald and Brayden Robinson, it very much looks like Notre Dame will be adding multiple more receivers to its 2026 recruiting class. Notre Dame football's wildly successful week had social media buzzing

Notre Dame football is on another one of its recruiting heaters, as they added three more commitments to its 2026 class in offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, cornerback Khary Adams and safety Joey O'Brien. The group now sits at nineteen verbals, and ranks as the No. 3 overall class in the 247Sports Team Composite behind just USC and Texas A&M, both opponents for the Irish this coming fall. Both Notre Dame and the Aggies have the same amount of committed players, while the Trojans have eleven more. It seems like this Irish class has much more staying power, as they'll look for the first top-5 finish since 2013. There was plenty of positive results for Notre Dame this weekend, and lets take a look at some of the top social media reactions to the Irish capturing the headlines. A very impressive class Marcus Freeman is laying a foundation for success for the Irish, and it looks like it could end up being a prolonged window of great football. It's not just recruiting, but the product on the field, however, the elite additions from the high school ranks don't hurt. Notre Dame has made Penn State's miserable It hasn't just been the semifinal win in the College Football Playoff that these two teams have battled, Notre Dame took running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider and each of the three commits had the Nittany Lions as a finalist. It's a regional game, and right now, there aren't many teams in the Midwest or East coast that have the recruiting pull that Notre Dame does. It sure feels good to be on the other Seid(er) Image if Seider hadn't made the move, but that clearly isn't the case. While none of the three commits are going to be in his room, you have to believe that his contacts in the East paid dividends. Many of us are excited about what he can do as a coach, but he's already shown that he is one of the top recruiters on staff. Not done? With room for more, one of the most recent commits gives all of us hope that this run isn't over. The Irish still have more than a few top prospects that are still considering them, and you can't discount the potential to flip a few committed players. This could be viewed as one of the top Notre Dame classes in a very long time. DMM The slogan for Notre Dame's defensive backs coach says all we need to know. He landed two of the top secondary prospects in the class, and should have another elite unit on the field this fall. It doesn't look like the Irish will have any issues defending the pass as long as Mickens is coaching the unit. Historical? It's one thing to have a culmination of top prospects committed, it's entirely another to see mulitple of them commit on the same day. While we did know that there was potential for Adams and O'Brien to be a packaged deal, it doesn't always work out that way. It did in this case, and Notre Dame won't complain about it one bit. The architect Everything that transpired this weekend has to start at the top with Freeman, as his vision for the program has come true in just three short years. Many believed that you couldn't be an elite football team with the academic standards that Notre Dame has, but the head coach has proven that theory to be false. Malik Zaire knows who's behind this effort While Freeman and Mickens have already been highlighted for having their hands all over the recruiting success Notre Dame has had, former quarterback Zaire can see it too. It's pretty obvious that these two work very well together, as the Irish continue to add top-end talent to its already impressive secondary. No thanks Nobody wants to see Freeman leaving South Bend to the NFL, but when teams are hoping that is the case, it's a very good thing. It doesn't seem like he wants to move away from the program anytime soon, as his vision is finally coming to fruition. Freeman is building a monster, and I'm sure he wants to be around when it can't be stopped. Notre Dame is cooking It seems like these runs have become commonplace in the Freeman era, and Notre Dame is on another one at the moment. The Irish have elevated its recruiting efforts, and it's really starting to show after the deep run into the CFP. I don't think this is a coincidence, I think it's going to be the norm going forward.
