Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins reveals very relatable haircut experience with one exception
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins may be the most relatable NFL player in the league. The longtime signal caller revealed in the latest season of the Netflix docuseries "Quarterback" that he prefers to get his hair cut at "Great Clips," an American hair saloon chain with over 4,500 locations across the country. As Cousins explained it, there are locations pretty much anywhere he travels, and the process is relatively hassle-free. "I go to one place, and that's Great Clips, 'cause I can just go on the app," Cousins said in the third episode. "I can see what the wait is. If the wait time is under 15 minutes, I just sign up and then I can just drive there, and walk right in and get right in the chair." Perhaps the only unrelatable part of the Cousins' haircut experience is that he references his own NFL headshot when telling the stylist what he's looking for. "This is what I'm looking for," Cousins says as he pulls up his Falcons' headshot. "It's like a one, and then you fade it up." "Now I start just holding up a picture – I took a picture from one of the headshots from a Falcons game program, and I just say, 'Can you do this?' And that usually helps eliminate any gray area." In the clip, Cousins tells the stylist "I've been trusting 'Great Clips' for a long time." "I kind of live all over the country, so I just kind of Google the nearest 'Great Clips' and make it work." Cousins, who is in the second year of his four-year, $180 million deal with Atlanta, said the entire process is a bit of a "rush" for him. "The biggest challenge is when you don't have the same person," Cousins said with a smile. "You just don't know what you're gonna get." Cousins went 7-7 and threw for 3,508 yards, 18 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in his first season with the Falcons before being benched in favor of rookie Michael Penix Jr. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Kirk Cousins leaves fans baffled with 'the most Kirk Cousins move ever' while getting his hair cut
Kirk Cousins might be one of the NFL's highest-paid stars but, when it comes to haircuts, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback keeps it cheap. In the new season of Netflix 's 'Quarterback' series, Cousins was accompanied by a camera crew as he went to get a fresh cut at salon chain Great Clips. In a clip from the episode, which was later posted onto social media, the 36-year-old sat patiently in the waiting area reading a magazine before heading to the chair. During a confessional, he explained the reasoning for heading to the budget salon and said: 'I go to one place, and that's Great Clips 'cause I can just go on the app'. Cousins enthusiastically sat down before having a brief discussion with the hairdresser and detailing how he' like his hair to be cut. 'This is what I'm looking for,' he said, while raising up a picture of himself. 'It's like a one, and then you fade it up.' During another confessional, he then explained: 'Now I just hold up a picture from a Falcons game program, and I just say, 'Can you do this?' And that usually helps eliminate any gray area. 'Everybody needs a little rush in their lives, and I get mine when I go to Great Clips to get my haircut'. Fans were quick to react to the viral clip on social media and it's fair to say that not many were surprised by the humble act from the Falcons QB. 'This is the least surprising thing I've ever learned about Kirk,' one Reddit user said. 'Bro is one of the highest paid NFL players of all time and gets his haircut at Walmart', another wrote. In a similar tone, one fan said: 'This is such a Kirk Cousins thing to do'. Cousins made a big-money move in free agency in 2024, signing a four-year, $180million deal with the Falcons after a lengthy career with the Minnesota Vikings. The 36-year-old quarterback's move was criticized at the time by fans, who saw the contract as too expensive for an aging gunslinger. Fans were quick to comment on the humble clip and insist it wasn't 'surprising' at all It was further scrutinized when the Falcons picked a quarterback eighth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft - selecting Michael Penix Jr out of the University of Washington. In the latest season of the Netflix series 'Quarterback', Cousins seemed to have second thoughts about his choice of team. 'Certainly, if I had that information around free agency, it would've affected my decision,' Cousins said. 'I had no reason to leave Minnesota, with how much we loved it there, if both teams were going to be drafting a quarterback high. 'But I've also learned in 12 years in this league that you're not entitled to anything — it's all about earning your spot and proving yourself.'

Kirk Cousins has a bizarre way he gets haircuts
Many athletes have a specialized barber who keeps their hair game ready, but one quarterback takes a more mundane approach. Kirk Cousins stars in the new Netflix series, 'Quarterback,' and this is where fans have learned that the signal caller gets his haircuts from Great Clips. While many younger players are changing their hairstyle every year, Cousins is quite the opposite. 4 Kirk Cousins showing an old team shot to the barber. @netflixsports/X The now 36-year-old quarterback has a very routine haircut: He wants a 1 with a fade up. Just like that, his haircut is over. The cut is so simple that in the show, all the quarterback had to do was show the barber his roster photo and they knew what to do. 4 Kirk Cousins goes to Great Clips for haircuts. @netflixsports/X One reason why Great Clips has been his go-to place is the convenience it brings to a constantly traveling athlete. 'It's hard to have a go-to barber when you're always on the go,' Cousins said. 'If the wait time is under 15 minutes, I just sign up. Then I can just drive there, walk right in and get right in the chair.' 4 Current Falcons Quarterback Kirk Cousins AP The scene caught the attention of Great Clips' management, which announced that Cousins would be the one and only person to own the new Great Clips VIP card, dubbed the 'Hall of Fade.' This new perk entitles Cousins to unlimited free haircuts. But even better for the rest of the patrons in the establishment, anytime he got a haircut, every other person in the store also gets a free cut. 'We love hearing stories of our customers' experiences in our Great Clips salons,' Vice President of Great Clips Lisa Hake said in a statement. 'When we heard about Kirk being a longtime brand fan and customer, we saw this as a unique opportunity to not only celebrate Kirk's fandom but use this as a way to pay it forward with our other lucky customers getting the same great haircut experience.' 4 Kirk Cousins throwing at mandatory summer mini-camp. AP Now with the Hall of Fade open for business, it will be interesting to see if more members are inducted in the future.
