Carrie Bickmore cuts a casual figure in a cosy fleece coat as she jets off from Perth Airport on girls' trip with her two young daughters

Carrie Bickmore has headed off for a getaway with her two daughters. The former star of The Project jetted out of Perth Airport with her girls, Evie, eight, and Adelaide, six, who she shares with ex-partner Chris Walker. The 44-year-old was dressed in a warm and casual outfit for her flight, staying cosy in a white fleece jacket with black accents. She added a cap over her blonde hair, which was worn in a ponytail, as well as a pair of black bike shorts. Carrie appeared to have on minimal makeup and towed along a pile of luggage including a carry-on case, a tote and a handbag. Her daughters, who sported pink ensembles, also had their own carry-on suitcases with them, which they wheeled through the terminal. Carrie and her former partner of 11 years, Chris Walker, split in 2023. They are co-parenting their children, including Carrie's son Ollie, 17, who the television personality shares with her late husband Greg Lange. It comes after Carrie shocked fans by sharing a very unconventional time-saving food hack. The radio star posted a clip to social media which captured her preparing spaghetti bolognese in an unusual manner. She was seen pouring the boiled pasta directly onto a dinner table, with no plate underneath it, and then added the meat sauce on top. She finished it off by sprinkling powdered parmesan cheese over the dish. Carrie then casually grabbed a fork to dig in, revealing her simple and speedy way of preparing dinner for her and her kids. 'A new way to do dinner. I was inspired by a random post on Instagram and thought I'd be a fun mum too and let the kids just eat in a more relaxed manner,' she wrote in the caption. 'They thought it was so weird but loved it. And given I put baking paper underneath, the cleanup was easier than washing plates!' Many of Carrie's followers slammed her 'offensive' food presentation. 'As an Italian, I find this highly offensive and wrong on so many levels!' one wrote. 'No. Just no,' another simply said. Others thought it was unhygienic. 'Fun concept but I don't want to share someone else's spit,' wrote one follower, while another added: 'Nope, don't want everyone else's dirty fork in my bolognese.' One person was highly offended by her supermarket-bought parmesan cheese, writing: 'That powdered Parma smells like vom. Can't do it.' 'I love this,' wrote Jacqui Felgate, while Australian clothing label Auguste said: 'So fun.' 'Good on you Carrie for having some fun with your kids,' another fan added. Carrie was recently welcomed back to The Project in a downpour of confetti as the show recorded one of its final episodes. The television and radio star, who quit the Channel Ten show back in 2022, returned to her old stomping ground as a guest, promoting a good cause. She was there to celebrate the ten year anniversary of her charity foundation, Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, which has raised $24 million for cancer research. Carrie announced her departure from The Project after 12 years on air in October 2022. The Adelaide- born star is now the host of the Carrie & Tommy show on the Hit Network alongside Tommy Little.

Emotional moment radio guest shares devastating brain cancer news live on air with Carrie Bickmore

Carrie Bickmore had a guest on her Hit Network radio show on Wednesday whose battle hit close to home. The radio queen had Australian of the Year Professor Richard Scolyer on her Carrie & Tommy show, with the esteemed pathologist discussing his brain cancer. The 58-year-old got emotional as he told Carrie that his cancer has spread and that he didn't know how much time he had. 'I haven't given up. There're still opportunities out there,' Scolyer told a moved Carrie. 'That's a reflection of many people - and me included. The fact I'm still alive and the three of us are able to have a conversation gives me some hope.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Scolyer added however that he understands it's a race against time. 'The scan that showed this recurrence was a big deal, and I hadn't had any (scans) for more than a year' he said. '75% of people are dead within a year (of diagnosis), and this was at 18 months… so with that coming up, I just felt a bit different.' It's a very meaningful topic for Carrie, who tragically lost her late husband Greg Lange (right) to brain cancer in 2010 at age 35, after a 10-year battle. She continued his legacy by starting her own charity, Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, which she announced during her Gold Logie acceptance speech in 2015. While promoting the charity, Carrie was welcomed back to The Project on Tuesday night in a downpour of confetti. The television and radio star, who quit the Channel Ten show back in 2022, returned to her old stomping ground for a good cause. The 44-year-old was on the desk for a ten minute segment that closed the show - but only as a guest. She was there to celebrate the tear year anniversary of her charity foundation, Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, which has raised $24 million for cancer research. Viewers were happy to see her again, with one writing on social media: 'Ah a blast from the past of when The Project was actually good, funny and popular.' Another person watching at home chimed in: 'Just like old times'. Carrie announced her departure from The Project after 12 years on air in October, 2022. She had been absent for a three month 'sabbatical' with her family in London earlier that year, before returning to the panel in July, only to quit in October. Three months after leaving the show, Carrie announced she'd split from her partner of 11 years Chris Walker. 'It's with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,' she wrote in a statement on Instagram. 'While this is a tough time, our focus is on parenting, loving and supporting our three children Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything that we've got. 'They are doing great. We won't be making any further comment.' Carrie is now the host of the Carrie & Tommy show on the Hit Network alongside Little. Their radio show has dominated the national ratings survey last year.

Carrie Bickmore reveals she's heading into the South African jungle after persistent rumours she will appear on I'm A Celebrity

Carrie Bickmore has long been rumoured to be joining popular Channel 10 show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia. And now, the radio and television presenter, 44, has confirmed she will be heading to the South African jungle - but not for the reality program. The Carrie & Tommy radio star has signed up for a half marathon at this year's The Big Five Marathon through the Entabeni private game reserve. She told Confidential on Thursday, the big five African animals 'will make me run fast, that is for sure'. 'Last year they had to delay the start of the race because there was a lion roaming around. I've decided not to read up too much about it because I've decided if I read about it, I won't go,' she said. 'I'm just going to go there with my eyes closed and open them at the startline and see what happens.' The former Project star will be completing her half-marathon alongside Ellidy Pullin, Olivia Molly Rogers, Sam Wood, Laura Enever, Trent Cotchin, and Merrick Watts. Carrie and her crew of famous friends will attempt to raise money for the Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation, which she set up after her late husband, Greg Lange, lost his battle with brain cancer. Carrie announced she would continue Greg's legacy with the charity during her Gold Logie acceptance speech in 2015. Despite his terminal condition, Carrie and Greg married in 2005 when she was just 25 and had a son, Oliver. All runners will be monitored by helicopters and armed rangers to ensure their safety in the game park. Last month, Carrie gave her social media followers a sneak peak into her training regime for the half-marathon. The Adelaide-born star lifted weights in each hand as she showed her commitment to building strength. She also took fans through a series of squat positions in the social media footage. The Carrie & Tommy radio star has signed up for a half marathon at this year's The Big Five Marathon through the Entabeni private game reserve Carrie cryptically hinted at something 'big' in the pipeline in her caption. 'Time to get strong for this next big adventure,' she wrote. 'Don't laugh at how small my weights are. I have no upper body strength.'
