Julian Edelman, Gronk name QB they'd want if Tom Brady never existed
Imagine a world where seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady didn't exist. What current NFL quarterback would be the best to captain the ship under center with Rob Gronkowski at tight end and Julian Edelman at wide receiver? Gronkowski and Edelman both chimed in on the hypothetical quarterback switch with two different answers. Most would expect the two to choose Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl winner. However, Gronkowski instead went with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, while Edelman chose Cincinnati Bengals signal-caller Joe Burrow. "Josh Allen, I love his game. It reminds me of myself at the quarterback position. That was a no-brainer for me. That was the first quarterback that popped up in my head," said Gronkowski on the Dudes on Dudes podcast. Edelman agreed that Allen would be a good choice, and he'd be happy with that option. But he ultimately decided to take things in a different direction. "I would love Josh Allen, but I would love to have Burrow," said Edelman. "I mean, you would love to have Mahomes. Our offense is a little different. There's a little more drop-back pass. I don't know, I mean, Mahomes is pretty good, too, but I think Burrow. I don't want someone running as much as Mahomes on those third downs. I want them throwing because I want those third downs." Allen is the reigning NFL MVP, and Burrow put together an MVP-caliber season last year, despite his team letting him down at every turn. Both would have thrived in an offense with the greatest tight end of all time and one of the all-time great slot receivers as go-to weapons. With that said, it's hard to envision anyone other than Brady throwing to Edelman and Gronkowski. The trio cemented a legacy together in New England that might never be topped. Ex-Patriots OC makes admission on Rob Gronkowski-Aaron Hernandez duo
Former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien revealed some secrets as to how the Patriots offense was functioning at a high level with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez as the tight ends. He sat down with Jon Meterparel on The Bill O'Brien Podcast with Jon Meterparel and admitted teams didn't know how to play against the Gronkowski and Hernandez duo. 'When we got Hernandez and we went 12 personnel, then teams didn't know how to play us," said O'Brien. "They would try base, and we would run them out of that with passes. And then they would go to nickel, and we could run it or throw it. Then, they would go to dime, and Bill Belichick was a genius on the sideline when it came to this stuff. He's like 'They're going dime, go fast, you're trapping them in dime.' So, we would trap teams in dime and just go tempo and run the football.' Gronkowski and Hernandez came into the league together in 2010. They played three seasons with one another and formed one of the greatest tight end duos of all time. It would be hard to find a greater mismatch for a defense than having to deal with Gronkowski and Hernandez at the same time. They were a true nightmare matchup for opponents. Hernandez was arrested and indicted on murder charges, abruptly ending his career with 175 receptions for 1,956 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Gronkowski went on to win four Super Bowls in a career where he posted 621 receptions for 9,286 yards and 421 touchdowns. Many believe he is the greatest tight end in NFL history. One can only imagine how unstoppable the duo might have become if they had played with each other longer. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

SI Swimsuit model Camille Kostek claims NFL wives judged her for not having wedding ring
Camille Kostek is opening up about the not-so-glamorous side of dating a professional athlete. The Sports Illustrated model, 33, claimed she was judged by other NFL wives for not being married to boyfriend and former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, 36. 'I felt like I was seen as a lesser-than girlfriend because I didn't have a ring on my finger,' she shared on an episode of Kristin Cavallari's 'Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour,' according to US Weekly. 'But you want to know what's so interesting about that? The woman that's coming to mind [who] judged me the most, she's divorced.' Reps for Kostek did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Kostek was first linked to Gronkowski in 2015. They previously met in 2013 when the pinup was a cheerleader and Gronkowski was in his third season with the New England Patriots. 5 Camille Kostek and Rob Gronkowski attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Launch in New York City on May 15, 2025. Eric Kowalsky / MEGA 'Rob and I met when I was 21 years old, and we've been in each other's lives for 10 years,' she added. 'First breakup was in 2017, but I think that some of the best things that changed the trajectory of my life came from this f—ing breakup that broke me but also allowed me to get in the zone. I didn't care about dating. I felt like I was asexual.' Kostek revealed that she decided to chase her dream after the heartbreak. 5 The couple shared a kiss after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV. @camillekostek / Instagram 'In that year, I decided to audition for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, which was on my bucket list. I cared about pursuing the things that brought me joy. There were so many things I was destined to want to do, and then I happened to date an athlete, and it was like, 'You are a WAG.'' WAG stands for wives and girlfriends. In May 2024, Kostek shared with Fox News Digital the NFL rule she broke to be in a relationship with Gronkowski. 'There is that rule where [you] cannot date the players,' Kostek told Fox News Digital at the time. 'I broke that one, but I kept it a secret for a little while. Rob Gronkowski's Sports Illustrated model girlfriend Camille Kostek reveals nasty side of being a NFL WAG
Rob Gronkowski 's model partner Camille Kostek has revealed the negative side of being an NFL girlfriend. The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, 33, has known the former Patriots star since 2013, with the tight end retiring (for a second time) three years ago. But Kostek recently revealed that she was judged by the wives of other NFL players for not being married to Gronkowski. 'I felt like I was seen as a lesser-than girlfriend because I didn't have a ring on my finger,' she said on Kristin Cavallari's 'Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour,' per US Weekly. 'But you want to know what's so interesting about that? The woman that's coming to mind [who] judged me the most, she's divorced.' Kostek and Gronkowski, who met each other when she was a cheerleader for the Patriots, did break up in 2017 before eventually getting back together. However, Kostek explained that she used her time apart from the future Hall of Famer to pursue her passions - namely becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. 'In that year, I decided to audition for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, which was on my bucket list. I cared about pursuing the things that brought me joy,' she said. 'There were so many things I was destined to want to do, and then I happened to date an athlete, and it was like, 'You are a WAG.' Kostek first modeled for SI Swimsuit in 2018, covered the magazine the following year and has been photographed for the brand every year since her debut. She was even named a 'Legend' of the brand last year. Last month, she walked the runway for SI Swimsuit in a show that included Livvy Dunne, soccer player Midge Purce and more. While Gronkowski and Kostek do not have a child together, they do share a dog named Ralphie, who the four-time Super Bowl champion mentioned when he wished his girlfriend a happy birthday back in February. 'Happy Birthday to my Dancing Queen @camillekostek !! From your incredible kindness to your infectious energy, you light up every room you walk into babe!!,' he wrote on Instagram. 'You deserve the best, not just today but always. Love you to the moon and back! And the best Momma anyone could ask for to our loving boy @ralphiegronkowski !!' Gronkowski, 36, established himself as one of the best tight ends in NFL history over an 11-year career. The University of Arizona became a favorite target of Tom Brady during their time together in New England, catching 17 touchdown passes in 2011 and winning three Super Bowls under then-Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
