Police searching for victim after man reports stabbing in town centre
Police are appealing for information to help identify a man who may have been the victim of a stabbing. The incident was reported shortly after 2pm on Saturday, 26 July, in Guisborough, when a concerned call to police reported that a man had claimed he had been stabbed. The man was reportedly seen in the Westgate and Upper Garth garden areas, near Guisborough Library and Wetherspoons pub, between 1pm and 2pm. During this time, the man is said to have approached and spoken to several members of the public, saying he had been stabbed. Despite conducting multiple lines of enquiry, officers from Cleveland Police have been unable to confirm his identity and are now turning to the public for assistance. The man is described as white, of slim build, with dark facial hair and believed to be between 40 and 50 years old. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, grey joggers, black shoes, and a black and white cap. Body found in hunt for woman, 18, missing for over a month after clothing found on beach & CCTV released
A BODY has tragically been found in the search for a missing teenager who vanished more than a month ago. Serren Bennett, who would have turned 19 on July 5, disappeared on June 8 in Guisborough, North Yorkshire. 2 2 A major search was launched for the "vulnerable" teen and cops found clothing belonging to the 18-year-old at Redcar beach on June 16. Her aunty Nicky Betteridge told Teesside Live one of the items included Serren's late mum's dressing gown cord. Previous CCTV footage showed Serren walking towards the beach alone, at around 9pm. It is now understood the teenager stayed in the vicinity of the beach. Officers sadly recovered Serren's body on July 10 from the sea in the Humberside area. Formal identification is yet to take place, but the teenager's next of kin have been informed. A Cleveland Police spokesperson confirmed: "Sadly, on Thursday, July 10 police received a report that a body had been located in the sea in the Humberside area. "Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, officers have informed Serren Bennett's next of kin, who is being supported by specialist officers. "All our thoughts are with Serren's family at this difficult time." Serren's family is currently being supported by specially trained officers.

Fears grow for ‘vulnerable' girl, 18, missing for over a month after clothing found on beach with CCTV released
COPS have issued an update as fears grow for a "vulnerable" girl, 18, who has been missing for over a month. Cops found clothing belonging to the missing 18-year-old at Redcar beach on June 16, said Cleveland Police. Previous CCTV footage showed Serren walking towards the beach alone, at around 9pm. Serren's family is currently being supported by specially trained officers as enquiries continue. The youngster is described as 5'6' tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown coat with fur on the hood, a black skirt, black tights and black shoes. In a recent update, Superintendent Emily Harrison said: "From CCTV, we can see that Serren headed towards the beach alone on the evening of Sunday, June 8. "Clothing has been recovered from the beach which has been confirmed by family as belonging to Serren." Cops previously shared CCTV footage showing Serren leaving her home address. The 18-year-old was captured on camera walking to the De Brus Way area at around 7pm on June 8. She then appeared to make her way towards Redcar beach around two hours later. The youth's disappearance was described as "out of character" for her. The force have re-issued an appeal for information that could help locate her, asking members of the public who may have seen Serren to come forward. Serren Brown, 18, was last seen on the evening of Sunday (June 8) in Guisborough heading towards Church Lane. Cleveland Police said she is a vulnerable person and officers have concerns for her welfare. CCTV images which have been released by the force show Serren at around 7pm on Sunday in the De Brus Way area of Guisborough. She is described as 5ft 6inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes and she was wearing a brown coat with fur on the hood, a black skirt, black tights and black shoes. Serren's family is currently being supported by specially trained officers as enquiries continue.
