On Friday, Ahan Shetty shared his picture from the sets, donning a soldier's uniform. A few hours ago, Ahan's co-star Varun Dhawan shared an image which features the former's hand covered with mud, a striking symbol of the raw, real portrayal of soldiers at the border. Varun also shared a similar image of his own hand covered in mud. Directed by Anurag Singh , Border 2 also stars Sunny Deol and Diljit Dosanjh . Backed by a stellar production team, Bhushan Kumar , Krishan Kumar , JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta the film is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with JP Dutta's J.P. Films. The sequel promises to carry forward the iconic legacy of Border, celebrating the heroism, sacrifice, and unshakable spirit of India's soldiers. 'Border 2' will hit theatres on January 23, 2026.

Ali Fazal reveals how he bagged Anurag Basu's Metro… In Dino: ‘I had shamelessly texted him…'
Metro…In Dino is all set to debut soon in theatres. The much-anticipated film of the season marks filmmaker Anurag Basu's final chapter of his hyperlinked trilogy, following Life in a… Metro and Ludo. Lead actor Ali Fazal, who portrays one of the most intense characters in the film, opened up about the overwhelming response to the trailer while speaking with Livemint. Ali Fazal revealed what drew him to say yes to Basu's vision. He shared, 'I think we're all drawn to stories that push us out of our comfort zones. But with this one, it was an easy yes – it's Basu Da! I had shamelessly texted him long ago, which I rarely do, but his musicality in storytelling has always stayed with me. Basu Da's technical mastery and his Spartan-like team make shooting feel like just one small part of a bigger masterpiece, leaving us actors in awe, like a box of chocolates where you never know what you'll get.' In the film, he essays the role of Akash, opposite Fatima Sana Shaikh. Ali added about his role, "Akash, my character, is a dreamer – vulnerable, a little lost in the chaos of the big city. Fatima and I take a winding journey in the film, full of zigzags that eventually tie into the larger picture. Somewhere in that mess is the aching heart of our story.' The film seeks to offer audiences a personal connection to stories that feel both intimate and universal. Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro…In Dino features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona SenSharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee. From the original cast, Konkana is the only actor who is returning in the sequel. Life in a... Metro was released in 2007, starring an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi. Veteran actress , who is all set to be seen alongside in the upcoming film " Dino", has talked about working with the actor-filmmaker and said that they have a "great give-and-take relationship." We've done a play together for a long time so it's very familiar ground. We have a great give-and-take relationship as actors." Speaking about emotional parts in the scenes, the actress shared that she loved Anupam's ideas, which added emotional depth to their parts in the directorial. Neena said: "Suddenly he will come up with a great idea - little nuance, little small things which just change a lot about the emotional part of the scene. This was the one part which I really really enjoyed while working with Anupam Kher." The 66-year-old actress, who is the mother of designer , said that she realized during the dubbing how much she gave to her character in the film, which was shot in fragments. "We shot in bits and pieces 'tukde tukde' mein so I didn't realise how much I had actually done until I sat for dubbing. That's when it all came together and I thought, 'Oh wow, I've done quite a bit in this film!'" Starring , Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona SenSharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee, the film will release on July 4. The trailer of the musical film was unveiled on June 4 and showcased a tale of four different aged couples. Going by the trailer, the film is largely similar to its predecessor, which was released in 2007.
