Like Andy Byron-Kristin Cabot's Coldplay Blunder, Here Are More Kiss Cam Fails That Went Viral
Last Updated: Much like the controversial Andy Byron–Kristin Cabot kiss cam moment, a similar scene unfolded in the popular series Modern Family. News18 Astronomer CEO Andy Byron became an overnight media sensation when he was spotted cuddling with HR chief Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert. Their awkward reactions after being featured on the kiss cam went viral, sparking discussion about the alleged affair. During the musical night held at Gillette Stadium in Boston, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin used a kiss cam to interact with the crowd. At one point, the camera zoomed in on Byron and Cabot, causing a social media uproar. Soon after realising that they were in the spotlight, the CEO ducked, hiding from the lens while Cabot turned her back, covering her face. This is not the first time that on-camera kissing has gone wrong. There have been several similar incidents previously. Let us take a look at some of them. Olivia Rodrigo Sibling Incident — 2024 Last year, Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour witnessed an awkward situation when she unknowingly asked two siblings to kiss each other on camera, thinking they were a couple. The incident happened during her first tour stop in Sydney. 'You guys are so cute. I've a really huge fun thing to ask. Would you guys give us a kiss on the Guts cam?" asked Rodrigo, oblivious of their equation. Football Fan Cheating Scandal — 2020 Back in 2020, a football fan was caught cheating on his girlfriend with another woman at the Barcelona SC's match against Delfin in Ecuador. During halftime, the kiss cam footage showed the man kissing a woman at the stadium. But soon after realising that they were being filmed, he quickly distanced himself from the lady. He removed his arm from the woman, shifted uncomfortably in the seat and leaned forward with frustration. Later, when the footage went viral, the man confessed to cheating. Defending himself, he said, 'If it were a woman in my place, what would you do? Various videos have been circulating of unfaithful women, but they haven't been made fun of as much as me. I'm going to defend my honour and my pride as a man until the end. We all fail and we all repent, thank you to those who have invited me to church, and if I go, it is so I can heal my family," as per a report by Fox Sports. In the Season 1 finale of Modern Family, titled Family Portrait, binge-watchers came across one such on-camera kiss. In the particular scene, Phil Dunphy, who was married to Claire, attended a basketball game with his longtime crush Gloria and friend Manny. When Gloria leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips, Phil looked visibly hesitant and uncomfortable while the crowd booed at Phil for not reciprocating the gesture. Phil Dunphy was left in sheer panic, convinced that Claire must have seen Gloria's spontaneous kiss. However, Claire was only concerned that Phil had ignored her phone call and did not witness the kiss. What followed was a hilarious tangle of misunderstanding and self-sabotage. Olivia Roderigo offers 'free therapy' to crew after gruelling 17-month tour
Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo is paving the way for mental health awareness after her guitarist revealed that the singer paid for therapy for the entire crew on tour. The 22-year-old's 'Guts World Tour' ran from February 2024 up until the final show in Manchester at the start of July 2025. In total, she performed 102 shows across several continents: a tall order for both her and her crew. But Rodrigo's guitarist Daisy Spencer has revealed that their mental health was a huge priority to the singer. Speaking to The Stage Left podcast, she revealed that professional therapy was on offer throughout the tour for all band and crew members. She said: 'Olivia and our tour manager, Marty Hom, made accessible and free therapy for all of the touring personnel.' She added: 'I have never had anything like that. And that reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had just kind of fallen off for so long.' The 'Vampire' singer is not the only star advocating for mental health, either. Lewis Capaldi recently teamed up with the online therapy platform BetterHelp to give his fans 734,000 hours of free online therapy – a reference to the 734 days the artist took to focus on his mental health after he experienced difficulties during a 2023 Glastonbury Festival set. Positivity and success coach Casey Paul believes celebrities being vocal about mental health can have a 'massive' impact. She says: 'When leaders speak openly about mental health, it gives everyone else permission to do the same and breaks the stigma that can often be attached to it. Instead of mental health being seen as a private issue, or a weakness it becomes part of normal culture – something human, and worth supporting.' Of course, while touring can be a particularly stressful environment, therapy can be beneficial in a wide range of workplaces. Lauren Baird is a psychotherapist at Inner Glow Therapy who has witnessed many people coming in with burnout. She reveals: 'So many people come to therapy struggling with their mental health, but terrified to say anything at work, scared they'll be seen as weak, unprofessional, or just not good enough. 'That kind of stigma has been around for years, especially when it comes to things like anxiety, depression or burnout. You'd never question someone taking time off for a physical illness, but when it comes to emotional health, there's still this fear it'll be judged as a character flaw." However, she says that she has been seeing a definite shift in attitudes. She says: 'More workplaces are starting to include therapy as part of their wellbeing offering — and culturally, we're beginning to understand that emotional regulation and resilience are just as important as physical health.' Plus, she points out that it's also beneficial for the employer too. She says: 'We also know from research that emotionally supportive workplaces have more productive teams and fewer cases of long-term sickness.' According to the Mental Health Foundation, poor mental wellbeing costs British employers an estimated £42 billion to £45 billion per year, through working while sick, sickness absence and staff turnover. Meanwhile, in 2022 and 2023 were an estimated 875,000 workers suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety.

Olivia Rodrigo offers generous perk to team members
When Olivia Rodrigo sang 'I hope you're happy and healthy' in her hit song 'Good For You,' she meant it. One of her crew members revealed the generous perk the singer provides to make sure her team is just that. Guitarist Daisy Spencer told 'The StageLeft Podcast' that Rodrigo pays for therapy for her entire band and crew, both on and off tour. She said the singer made it accessible and free during her Guts World Tour, adding that it made a massive positive difference. 'Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour,' Spencer explained. 'Like, seriously, one of the best things you can give to people is accessible free therapy, because it can get kind of expensive.' 'I have never had anything like that. And that reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had just kind of fallen off for so long, and then suddenly I had this free resource of incredible therapists, and I utilized the crap out of that,' she continued. The musician called the 'drivers license' singer 'literally is the dreamiest boss of all time.' Rodrigo has been a longtime advocate of mental health. Back in 2021, she took to X, saying, 'Can't wait to tell my therapist that ppl like the song.' Her father is also a family therapist. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Olivia Rodrigo's Guitarist Spills On The 'Coolest' Perk She Gives The Band, Crew
Olivia Rodrigo's touring guitarist, Daisy Spencer, has revealed that the music superstar has paid for her band and crew to get free therapy. 'Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour, like seriously, that is one of the best things you can give to people,' said Spencer on a recent episode of 'The StageLeft Podcast.' Spencer explained that she had 'fallen off for quite a while' with therapy and was struggling to find a therapist that was the right fit before Rodrigo and Marty Hom, the manager of her Guts World Tour, made the service free and accessible to tour personnel. 'So I have never had anything like that and that reignited the importance of therapy to me,' said Spencer of the perk, which could be used both on the road and off the tour. She later continued, 'Suddenly, I had this free resource of incredible therapists, and I utilized the crap out of that.' Rodrigo — whose father, Chris Rodrigo, is a family therapist — has emphasized the importance of therapy over the years. She told CBS News Sunday Morning in 2021 that she started going to therapy at age 16, calling the move a 'really big, life-changing moment' where she 'learned so much about' herself as a result. The singer-songwriter acknowledged there's a stigma around mental health, noting that some people may dismiss her seeking therapy with claims that her 'life is so great' and questioning what 'problems' she has. 'I think that's definitely a thing that sometimes older people can do to younger people, too, is kind of trivialize what they're going through just because they're like, 'Aha, they're fine, they're just kids, they'll get through it,'' Rodrigo said. 'But it feels so real when you're in it, and it's so valid, and just because it's not an adult problem or you don't have to pay taxes yet or whatever, doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt.' Spencer — who describes herself as a 'huge advocate' of therapy — said the service can 'get kind of expensive' and noted that she's started using the service once a week or every other week. She said therapy has helped her with 'unprocessed trauma' as she's been touring since age 17 and it's been 'such a gift' to look within herself. Glastonbury headliner branded 'dreamiest boss' after paying for entire crew's th
Mental health in the music industry has been a hugely important topic in recent years, and one Glastonbury headliner has gone above and beyond. Olivia Rodrigo has been declared the 'dreamiest boss' by her guitarist, Daisy Spencer, after paying for the whole crew to have therapy. She closed the 2025 lineup on Sunday night, with a cameo from The Cure icon Robert Smith, after memorable sets from Lewis Capaldi, Lorde, and Bob Vylan. The Jealousy Jealousy hitmaker was widely applauded for her performance, and it seems that she also praised for her kindness off-stage. During their time on tour, anyone who needed it could speak to a mental health professional whenever they wanted, all for free. 'I have never had anything like that,' the 31-year-old musician told The Stage Left podcast. She continued: 'That reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had just kind of fallen off for so long.' It's thought the therapy was available throughout the Guts World Tour last year, even if they were on a break at that moment in time. Daisy said: 'Suddenly I had this free resource of incredible therapists, and I utilised the crap out of that. I was going, you know, once a week, once every other week, whenever I could.' Branding Olivia as 'the dreamiest boss of all time', she added: 'Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour. 'It's not very heard of. It was the coolest thing ever.' Multiple artists have spoken out about their mental health, including Lewis Capaldi, who recently returned to music with an emotional Glastonbury set. He made a surprise appearance at this year's festival and announced a UK tour for later this year, but there was a very real chance he wasn't going to make a comeback. Lewis described the 2023 show as 'literally the worst moment' of his life but that therapy has been a 'massive part of the reason' he's 'able to be a musician again' two years later. In 2022, Liam Gallagher raised awareness of male mental health with his new music video for Too Good For Giving Up. The 50-year-old Britpop legend said at the time: 'We all know someone affected by suicide which sadly seems to be at an all-time high. 'I've lost many people far too early and it's important to talk. I'm really pleased to be able to help in anyway with this song and will be partnering with Talk Club on my track 'Too Good For Giving Up' LG x' After Liam Payne's death and various documentaries on the impact of boy bands on singers, questions about the protections around young stars in the industry. More Trending Mental health charity Mind previously shared research suggesting that those in the music industry are 'more prone to mental health problems than the general population'. Musicians are said to be 'up to three times more likely to suffer from depression'. The Music Industry Therapy Collective (MITC) has now set up the Online Tour Health And Welfare Coaching service to provide aid to any professional musician who is struggling. Got a story?
