Egypt Launches Train Service to Support Sudanese Voluntary Repatriation
H-Tayea Egypt has launched a dedicated train service to support the voluntary return of Sudanese citizens currently residing in the country. The train will depart from Ramses Station in Cairo, heading to Aswan, where further arrangements will be made to assist Sudanese nationals returning home. This humanitarian initiative is part of Egypt's ongoing support for the Sudanese people and the strong historical bond between the two nations of the Nile Valley. The Egyptian National Railways Authority has confirmed that a special, air-conditioned third-class train, Train No. 1940, will depart from Cairo on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM and arrive at the High Dam Station in Aswan by 11:40 PM. To ensure convenience and comfort, the train will include an additional luggage carriage specifically for passengers' personal belongings. The return journey for regular passengers will operate as Train No. 1945, departing Aswan on Tuesday, July 29, at 8:30 PM, and arriving in Cairo at 9:25 AM the following day. This effort was launched under the directives of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, who instructed railway authorities to provide all necessary logistical and service support. The goal is to guarantee a safe, organized, and dignified journey for Sudanese citizens returning home. The Egyptian government emphasized that this is more than a transportation effort—it reflects deep solidarity with the Sudanese people during a time of hardship, and a continuation of Egypt's role as a regional partner offering real, on-the-ground support to neighboring nations in crisis. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Egypt, 10 Nations Strongly Condemn Israeli Sovereignty Vote Over Occupied West Bank
H-Tayea Egypt, alongside ten other Arab and Islamic nations and major regional organizations, has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli Knesset's recent approval of a declaration calling for the imposition of so-called 'Israeli sovereignty' over the occupied West Bank. The statement denounces the move as a blatant violation of international law and a clear breach of multiple UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), and 2334 (2016), all of which reject any attempts to legitimize occupation or settlement activity on Palestinian land. Joining Egypt in the joint declaration are the Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Indonesia, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Federal Republic of Nigeria, State of Palestine, State of Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The statement affirms that Israel holds no sovereignty over any part of the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, which remains legally and historically an inseparable part of Palestine. It stresses that Israel's unilateral declaration has no legal validity and cannot alter the internationally recognized status of these lands. The signatories warn that this latest Israeli action will only intensify regional instability, especially as it comes amid ongoing military aggression in Gaza and a rapidly worsening humanitarian disaster in the Strip. The group urged the international community, including the UN Security Council and all responsible actors, to take urgent action to stop Israel's illegal policies, which aim to impose realities on the ground by force. These efforts, they said, are undermining prospects for peace and threatening to eliminate the possibility of a two-state solution altogether. The statement concluded with a renewed commitment to the two-state solution based on international law and the Arab Peace Initiative, reaffirming the goal of establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Egypt Reaffirms Support for Libyan Sovereignty and Political Consensus
H-Tayea Egypt reiterated its steadfast support for Libya's sovereignty, unity, and political stability, emphasizing the need for a Libyan-led political solution free from external interference. Ambassador Tarek Dahroug, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of the Libya Department, outlined Egypt's vision in official remarks reaffirming Cairo's long-held position on Libya. Ambassador Dahroug stressed that Egypt encourages inclusive dialogue among all Libyan parties and calls for overcoming divisions in order to achieve national consensus. He highlighted the importance of unifying Libya's executive authority based on legitimate and consensual foundations that reflect the will of the Libyan people. This, he said, would strengthen the efforts of the United Nations toward a political settlement. He further asserted that Egypt views the political process as the sole path toward resolving the Libyan crisis, in accordance with the Berlin Conference outcomes, relevant UN Security Council resolutions, the Skhirat Agreement, and the principle of 'Libya for Libyans.' Egypt also welcomes serious efforts toward the unification of Libya's national institutions, particularly the military and economic bodies, as key to restoring lasting stability. Ambassador Dahroug underlined that Libya's security is inseparable from Egypt's national security and regional stability. He firmly rejected any attempts by foreign powers or armed groups to exploit Libyan territory as a platform for threatening neighboring countries. Egypt, he affirmed, supports all legitimate Libyan institutions that emerge from genuine intra-Libyan consensus and engages with all Libyan factions to safeguard the unity of the country. He noted that Egypt is committed to remaining an active developmental partner for both eastern and western Libya, with Egyptian companies and professionals working responsibly across both regions in projects that serve the broader interests of the Libyan people. In line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to prioritize the well-being of Egyptians abroad, Ambassador Dahroug confirmed that the Foreign Minister is actively monitoring efforts to reopen Egypt's consulate in Tripoli, with plans to resume consular operations before the end of the year. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Egypt Signs $2 Billion in Strategic Agreements to Advance Private Sector Growth
H-Tayea Egypt has announced the signing of six major agreements with international development partners, private sector companies, and business associations to accelerate its green energy transition and foster private sector-led economic growth. The deals were unveiled during the 'Development Finance to Foster Private Sector-Led Growth & Jobs' conference, hosted by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. Among the most significant agreements is a $600 million financial close for the Obelisk Solar Power Plant, a 1 GW project that includes Egypt's first utility-scale battery energy storage system. Developed by the Norwegian company Scatec, the project is supported by a consortium of international financiers including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), British International Investment (BII), and the African Development Bank (AfDB). A separate $1 billion power purchase agreement was signed for the 900 MW Shadwan Wind Power project, also led by Scatec, to be constructed in Ras Shukeir in the Gulf of Suez. Egypt is also breaking ground in battery storage, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) partnering with AMEA Power to finance the country's first utility-scale energy storage component within the Abydos Solar Power Plant. These clean energy initiatives fall under Egypt's NWFE ('Nexus of Water, Food and Energy') program and support the country's commitment to achieving 42% renewable energy by 2030. In parallel, Egypt signed cooperation agreements with 12 key business organizations—including chambers of commerce, industry federations, and bilateral business councils—to expand access to the HAFIZ platform. Launched by the Ministry in 2023, HAFIZ serves as a digital gateway offering over 90 financing and advisory services from 44 international development partners. The platform has attracted nearly 18,000 private sector users to date and has emerged as a cornerstone of Egypt's efforts to mobilize economic diplomacy and development finance for enterprises of all sizes. In another milestone, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a €21 million investment grant to support the Green Sustainable Industry (GSI) project in Egypt. The project will finance initiatives in pollution reduction, energy efficiency, and industrial decarbonization in both public and private sectors. It complements a broader €271 million funding package signed at the 2024 Egyptian-European Investment Conference and includes support from the EU and the French Development Agency. Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat emphasized that these agreements reflect Egypt's strong international partnerships and its strategic vision to align development financing with national priorities. The conference brought together top officials from government ministries, global financial institutions, and business leaders, underscoring a unified commitment to sustainable, inclusive economic transformation. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News 3 Killed in Shooting Attack in Thailand
