Naif Arab University secures French accreditation for criminal law and human rights programs

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) has secured full five-year accreditation from France's High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCÉRES) for three of its core academic programs: the Master's in Criminal Law and Forensic Sciences, the Master's in Criminology, and the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights and Criminal Justice. University President Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-Bunyan said the achievement reflects NAUSS's ongoing commitment to academic excellence and quality standards. The accreditation, he noted, is the result of rigorous development in academic offerings aligned with regional priorities in security and justice. 'This international accreditation enhances the university's leadership role in preparing Arab leaders and experts in the legal and security sectors,' Al-Bunyan said, emphasizing its alignment with the strategic objectives of Arab interior ministries and regional security institutions. The accreditation follows a comprehensive review conducted by HCÉRES assessors and confirms NAUSS's compliance with European quality benchmarks in higher education and scientific research. It also strengthens confidence among stakeholders in the university's academic Al-Bunyan described the milestone as a continuation of the generous support provided by Saudi Arabia, the host country, and expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their consistent backing of NAUSS as a regional and international leader in its also praised the ongoing guidance of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Saudi Minister of Interior and honorary president of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, for his commitment to advancing institutional quality and academic accreditation is part of NAUSS's 2029 Strategic Plan, which seeks to internationally and locally accredit all academic programs, reinforcing its role as the scientific arm of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and a hub for Arab security cooperation.
