Trump Ridiculed for Asking to Move a 'Bit Quicker' While Meeting With African Leaders: 'How Rude'

President Donald Trump is being criticized by social media users after telling an African leader to keep their remarks brief during a meeting with multiple leaders, encouraging them to stick to the schedule for the event. Trump met with the leaders of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal at the White House kicking off a three-day summit aiming to discuss US access to critical minerals and other natural resources. LMAO -- Trump gestures to one of the African leaders to wrap it up and then says, "maybe we're gonna have to go a bit quicker than this, because we have a whole schedule. If I could just have your name and country it would be great." — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) July 9, 2025 "My administration is committed to strengthening our friendships in Africa through economic development efforts that benefit both the United States and our partners," Trump said at a White House event during the beginning of the summit. However, the President told the leaders he was meeting with to keep their remarks brief during the event on Wednesday. "I appreciate it very much, I appreciate it. We're going to have to go a little bit quicker than this because we have a whole schedule. If I could just have your name and your country, that would be great, thank you," said the President. His remarks drew ire from social media users, who quickly took to online platforms to criticize the President for his instructions which were seen as impolite. "How rude," said one user. "They forgot to make a sign-in sheet for the meeting. LoL," joked another. They forgot to make a sign-in sheet for the meeting. What an embarrassment. — Annalea 🪷🐝🥑🍁🌻🍌 (@citizengatsby) July 9, 2025 The President also complimented the Liberian leader, President Joseph Boakai, on his English despite the fact that English is the official language of the nation. "Where did you learn to speak so beautifully? Where were you educated? Where in Liberia?," Trump asked. "Well, that's very interesting. It's beautiful English. I have people at this table can't speak nearly as well." Originally published on Latin Times Donald trump White house Gabon Senegal

Tears at How Cat With Two Legs Proves Sceptics Wrong: 'Better Without Them'

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A fearless two-legged cat is capturing hearts across the internet after a video showcasing his impressive jumping skills went viral on Instagram. Shared by his owner, who goes by @ the clip has racked up over 1.6 million likes and countless comments cheering on Rocket, the determined feline. "I tell them 'I have a cat that only has two legs'. 'oh so he need wheels?', Holy fluffin airball," the video begins, with text overlaying a shot of Rocket launching himself from a shelf and landing gracefully on his front paws. The video then transitions into a montage of Rocket jumping from various surfaces—bookshelves, counters, and more—demonstrating incredible strength and coordination. It finishes with a clip from his kitten days, where he clings to a chair and drags himself around it, paired with the caption: "He never needed wheels." "Holy fluffin airball - no he needs no wheels. Rocket can do it better without them," the owner added in the caption. While the video doesn't go into Rocket's medical history or explain why he only has two front legs, two-legged cats can thrive with the right care and support. In some cases, cats are born with congenital conditions such as Swimmer Syndrome, which affects limb development. Other times, amputation is required due to injury or illness. Regardless of the cause, many cats adapt remarkably well. According to Forest Vets, amputee cats can lead full and happy lives once they adjust to their new way of moving. Cats have a strong instinct to adapt to their physical limitations and often show great resilience. With some modifications to their environment—such as ramps or soft landings—they continue to climb, play, and explore. The Cats Protection charity also emphasizes that disabled cats still enjoy toys, affection, and exploration just like any other cat. Owners are encouraged to provide enrichment and monitor their feline friend's comfort, but there's no need to feel sorry—many disabled cats don't know they're "different" at all. "Have you told HIM he only has two legs??" asked Rayne. "Disability? Yeah, I got dis ability to go wherever tf I want," quipped another user. "Give him a little kiss on his forehead and tell him 'a random stranger on the internet is so proud of you and sent u a lot of love'," shared another impressed cat lover. "Bro's an amazing calisthenics athlete," added another user. "That core! That upper body strength! He is fitness goals," said another viewer. "I love this about animals. They're not sad about this kind of thing. They live, learn, and adapt," said another viewer. Newsweek reached out to @ for comment via Instagram. We could not verify the details of the case. ‘HIM' Sports Horror Depicts Marlon Wayans As Pro QB With A Dark Secret

Jordan Peele is continuing to innovate the horror genre by producing films that platform Black actors and tell stories in a realm where they're either rarely seen or offed far too quickly. HIM , produced by Peele, stars Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers, examines the high cost of fame and the sacrifices some would make to obtain greatness. Produced by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions, HIM stars Wayans as Isaiah White, a star professional quarterback in his waning years who mentors rising quarterback Cameron Cade, played by Withers, who some might remember from the 'Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga' episode of Atlanta from show creator Donald Glover. In a trailer for HIM delivered last Friday (April 18), White is the top quarterback of his team and takes in Cade to train him in an isolated compound. What Cade discovers in his journey is that the price of sports excellence will cost him dearly, and it appears White is attempting to cast his curse onto his young protege. HIM , which was initially titled GOAT , is directed by Justin Tipping, who was the director and writer for 2016's Kicks and was the director and producer for the television show Flatbush Misdemeanors , among other works. The film is slated for a September 19 release.
