Veeam & HPE deepen partnership to boost enterprise data resilience
Veeam and HPE have expanded their strategic partnership with an integration between the Veeam Data Platform and HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software, aiming to enhance data resilience and recovery for enterprise customers. The new collaboration will see Veeam deliver image-based backup support for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software, encompassing virtual machine migration and data portability across conventional hypervisor environments. This builds on a longstanding relationship between the two companies, which seek to offer unified data protection and simplified management for customers operating in increasingly complex IT landscapes. Supporting hybrid and private cloud By integrating Veeam Data Platform with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, organisations are expected to gain a more seamless solution for safeguarding key applications and data across private and hybrid cloud infrastructures. Fidelma Russo, Executive Vice President of Hybrid Cloud and Chief Technology Officer at HPE, said: "Data is an organisation's most valuable asset – and often its most vulnerable. With our deep partnership and integration, HPE and Veeam are delivering unified virtualisation and data protection that is future-ready, giving customers the resiliency and agility to evolve their hybrid IT strategy." For customers making use of HPE Private Cloud solutions, or those with standalone servers, the solution is designed to provide unified protection across multiple hypervisors and facilitate VM mobility. Cost savings are also cited in the form of up to a 90 percent reduction in VM licence costs. Enterprise-grade resilience Anand Eswaran, Chief Executive Officer at Veeam, highlighted the dual pressures organisations face in managing expanding IT complexity and rising cyber risk: "Organisations face a perfect storm of IT complexity and cyber threats. Data resilience can no longer be an afterthought. Our enhanced partnership ensures organisations can deploy enterprise-grade virtualisation solutions from HPE with Veeam backup, recovery, security and intelligence for maximum data resilience that keeps businesses running." Both companies stress that comprehensive support for modern workloads is a focal point. As part of the initiative, the companies will provide HPE cybersecurity and cyber resilience transformation and readiness services, equipping organisations with a roadmap to assess, strengthen and future-proof data resilience strategies. The scope of the framework reflects concerns about the increasing sophistication of security threats facing businesses and the need for robust protections spanning private and hybrid cloud environments. The partnership aims to address these challenges by combining HPE's expertise across hybrid IT and cybersecurity with Veeam's capabilities in backup, recovery and data intelligence. The cooperation between HPE and Veeam also involves increased joint go-to-market investment, seeking to help customer organisations manage data protection with broader solution support and professional services. Unified approach to resilience With this extended partnership, both companies emphasise their focus on supporting organisations as they navigate heightened cyber risk and evolving IT demands. The aim is to enable customers to make use of private cloud environments while ensuring data remains secure, resilient and accessible. HPE and Veeam state that the combination of their technologies and expertise is designed to provide enterprises with the resources needed to manage increasingly complex operational and security landscapes.

Aible and HPE Together Ignite the AI Agent Revolution for Business Users at HPE Discover Las Vegas 2025
LAS VEGAS, NV / / June 25, 2025 / Aible, the leading AI agent platform for business users at enterprise scale, today announced a collaboration with HPE to enable enterprises with completely autonomous specialized AI Agents for business users-without the need for expert data science or machine learning engineering. For the first time, Aible empowers business teams within HPE Private Cloud AI environments running NVIDIA accelerated computing, to automatically build, coach, and deploy AI agents across on-prem, hybrid cloud, and edge scenarios. Unveiled at HPE Discover Las Vegas 2025, this collaboration marks Aible's official induction into the HPE Unleash AI partner program, a curated ecosystem of top-tier innovators accelerating impact from AI deployments within enterprises. Working with HPE and NVIDIA, Aible is delivering demonstrable AI results that are real, measurable and realized within hours, not months. Fleet of AI Agents That Work: Aible Joins HPE and NVIDIA to Deliver Results at Scale Enterprises will need thousands, if not millions of agents, and there are simply not enough experts that can build these agents. Clearly, business users will need to be empowered to build their own custom agents. Together, the companies are providing a turnkey, enterprise-scale AI environment that enables business users to create and coach specialized AI agents on their own to solve unique business problems in sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and more. From analytics agents that are specialized to proactively identify targeted sales insights and prevent customer churn to more sophisticated video agents at the edge in retail stores to identify stockouts, a host of Aible agents across business needs are deployed in hours and deliver real value in under 48 hours. Automatically Finds Actionable Insights for Business Users Today users must ask the right question to unlock the value of their AI. But why throttle the enormous power of AI behind the human ability to think of the right questions to ask? Aible agents revolutionize how business users uncover insights from both structured and unstructured data. Unlike traditional tools that rely on users knowing the right questions to ask, Aible agents eliminate this common barrier. By harnessing the enormous power of AI, the agents automatically analyze millions of variable combinations to identify the true drivers behind business changes-what changed, and why. This deep, automated discovery reveals critical insights that would otherwise remain hidden, enabling informed, high impact decisions. Importantly, all this happens with no coding or technical expertise required. "Aible is uniquely designed for enterprise scale with the added benefits of security and cost-effectiveness," said Arijit Sengupta, Founder & CEO of Aible. "Our mission is to ensure that business users-not just developers-can create and coach AI agents that deliver real results. By working with HPE and NVIDIA, we're able to bring this vision to scale, enabling enterprises to deploy AI where their data lives and where decisions are made-whether in the cloud, on-prem, or at the edge." Aible is recognized in the 2025 Gartner®, "Market Guide for Agentic Analytics"*, Anirudh Ganeshan, Souparna Palit, David Pidsley, February 21, 2025 and the full report can be accessed by Gartner subscribers on According to the report: "Agentic analytics represents the evolution of augmented analytics by applying AI agents, often including large language models (LLMs) and other AI techniques, for data analysis. HPE gains enterprise traction with private cloud, AI-powered servers
This story was originally published on CIO Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily CIO Dive newsletter. Hewlett Packard Enterprise received a two-pronged boost from its AI server and private cloud segments during the second quarter of its 2025 fiscal year, executives said during a Tuesday earnings call. The hardware vendor saw revenue grow 6% year over year to $7.6 billion during the three-month period ending April 30. One-third of the hardware vendor's AI orders were driven by enterprise demand for GPU-powered servers and private cloud systems, according HPE President and CEO Antonio Neri. The company signed $1.1 billion of net new AI systems orders and exited the quarter with a $3.2 billion backlog, Neri said. Enterprise AI server and networking deployments gained momentum in both on-premises and colocation data centers, according to Neri. 'What we see is customers modernizing their data center, especially because they are focused on data sovereignty and compliance,' he said. Organizations are standing up infrastructure for retrieval-augmented generation, fine tuning and inferencing, he added. As enterprises weigh their AI procurement options, the market has split between providers that are pushing customers to public cloud and vendors steering them in the direction of on-premises alternatives. SAP, Salesforce and Workday are among the enterprise software giants driving businesses to cloud-based agentic AI. Data cloud company Snowflake gave its platform an agent-oriented overhaul earlier this week. On the other side of the divide, on-premises private cloud is enjoying a concurrent resurgence. HPE rolled out upgraded versions of its Morpheus virtualization software and private cloud bundle last month and announced the HPE Private Cloud AI integration with Nvidia's enterprise AI platform. Dell, which last week reported more than $12 billion in AI server orders during the three-month period ending May 2, introduced a private cloud suite in May, too. 'We experienced exceptionally strong demand for AI-optimized servers,' Dell Vice Chairman and COO Jeff Clarke said during a Q1 2026 earnings call, noting the company shipped $1.8 billion of the units, leaving a backlog of $14.4 billion. HPE remains entrenched in the enterprise data center side of the hybrid cloud equation, as it digs out from execution challenges that triggered a 5% workforce reduction announced during a March earnings call and other remediation efforts. 'Since our last update, we have closely monitored the changes implemented to improve profitability,' Neri said Tuesday. 'This includes the rollout of new pricing analytics, increased discount scrutiny and inventory management.' The company expects to eliminate 2,500 positions by the end of the year and ended the recent quarter with a headcount under 59,000, its lowest since splitting from Hewlett-Packard in 2015, according to EVP and CFO Marie Myers. AI is integral to HPE's optimization efforts. The company will use agentic tools to improve efficiency internally, Myers said. 'Within finance, HPE and Deloitte co-developed Zuora AI CFO insights agents built on Nvidia's advanced AI stack and deployed on our own HPE private cloud AI platform,' said Myers. 'We're turning data into actionable intelligence, accelerating our reporting cycles by approximately 50% and reducing processing costs by an estimated 25%.'
