The burger is made with a chicken breast fillet in a crunchy coating that is served with lettuce, crispy onions, pickled onion chutney, bacon, white cheddar cheese slices and cheese sauce. It cost £6.69 on its own or £8.49 for a medium meal, although prices can vary between restaurants. Also leaving the menu are the popular Halloumi Fries, which are served with a sweet chilli dip. They cost just £2.99, or £9.59 for a sharebox. Meanwhile, the Katsu Wraps will also come off the menu this week. The wraps were launched for the first time in January and come with grilled or crispy chicken. Shoppers could pick them up for £3.49 each or £2.29 on Wednesdays and Sundays. Customers could also get their hands on the wrap as part of a medium meal for £5.29. The last item leaving the menu this week is the Toffee Crisp McFlurry. The tasty treat is made from soft dairy ice cream swirled with Toffee Crisp pieces and is topped with toffee sauce. It cost just £2.39, making it one of the cheapest items on the menu. It is not uncommon for McDonald's to shake up what is sold across its 1,300 UK restaurants to make way for new items. Menus are updated every few months or in line with certain events including Easter or Christmas. And just because an item is discontinued does not mean it is gone forever. How to save at McDonald's You could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose. Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other. You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald's receipts. The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey. You'll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer. There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald's app, so it's worth signing up to get money off your meals. The MyMcDonald's app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up. You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you're a My McDonald's app user. The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details - otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats. McDonald's new menu items It comes as the home of the golden arches is preparing to launch a new menu on July 30. McDonald's is also bringing back seven returning favourites, including the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon. The burgers were last spotted on menus in 2024 and feature a beef patty, Emmental cheese, onions, tomatoes and a smoky sauce. But there is a catch - they will only be available in East Anglia. Burger fans in Tyne & Tees are also getting an exclusive menu item - the returning Steakhouse Stack. But people who live in this area will be missing out on another menu item that's returning. The Chicken Big Mac - a chicken version of the McDonald's classic burger - will be available everywhere except for East Anglia and Tyne & Tees. The burger features two chicken patties, a slice of cheese, pickles, lettuce and Big Mac sauce. But fast food fans across the UK will get to enjoy other returning fan favourites. These include the Spicy Chicken Nuggets, which come with a Spicy Chilli Dip, and Chilli Cheese Bites. Plus there's the Milky Way McFlurry and the Fajita Chicken One wrap. Alongside the returning items there are also some new additions to the menu. Fans have been excited to get their hands on the Jaffa Cakes McFlurry, which includes chocolate-covered shortcake pieces and an orange sauce to replicate the famous flavour. The menu items will only be available for the next six weeks so you'll need to be quick. McDonald's is also giving customers the chance to customise their Sprite Zero drinks. They'll be able to add a pump of fruity syrup to the drink, which comes in the flavours Green Apple or Mango & Passionfruit. 5 The Big Tasty with Bacon will be returning - but only in one area of the UK Credit: McDonalds 5 Customers will be able to add fruity syrups to their Sprite Zero drinks from next week Do you have a money problem that needs sorting? New challenge launched ahead of Lionesses' semi-final against Italy

Nine of the 14 penalties in Zurich were missed - with England edging through after the shootout went to sudden death. England looked to be going out in regular time until Lucy Bronze's header kickstarted the comeback in the 79th minute to make it 2-1 and then Michelle Agyemang pulled them level two minutes later - both goals assisted by Chloe Kelly. And ss the Lionesses gear up for their semi-final match against Italy next Tuesday, fast-food chain Wendy's will be rolling out its '4-Corner Challenge' to get the nation behind England's challenge to retain their trophy. Through the challenge, customers have a chance to win Wendy's menu items as prizes by scoring up to four goals in a penalty-style game featuring a custom Wendy's goal. Prizes include free Halloumi Fries, Mini Doughnuts, and even Wendy's much-loved Biggie Bag®: the Jr. Cheeseburger made with fresh beef**, 4-piece chicken nuggets, small fries, and a small drink. (Image: Wendy's) Michael Clarke, Managing Director, Europe for The Wendy's Company, commented: "Women's football is soaring in both popularity and talent, and as the Queen of QSR, Wendy's is proud to be part of its incredible rise. 'Just like our square hamburgers, we believe in doing the right thing – no shortcuts, no cutting corners. That's why we're backing our passion with action through the Wendy's 4-Corner Challenge. We can't wait to cheer alongside fans for every thrilling moment!' Against Sweden, it was defender Lucy Bronze, England's seventh penalty taker, that slammed her spot-kick into the roof of the net before Smilla Holmberg put her effort over the bar at the end of a chaotic shootout. Sweden only scored two of their seven penalties, with England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton saving two of them, while her Swedish counterpart Jennifer Falk kept out four spot-kicks and missed a chance to win it when she put her shot over the bar. And now Wendy's customers will need to channel their inner Lucy Bronze if they too are going to get their hands on prizes next week. At Wendy's® – home of the iconic square hamburger – corners aren't just part of their game; they are part of their DNA. That's why, with the nation buzzing with football fever, Wendy's is making the ultimate wager that could see fans across the UK feasting on its fresh, famous food for free. Fancy yourself as the next Alessia Russo? The 4-Corner Challenge will roll out across the following Wendy's restaurants so grab your trainers and give it a go: Watford – 20th July 2025, 10:30-19:00 Lakeside Shopping Centre – 23rd July, 09:00-19:00 Leeds – 26th July, 09:30-19:00 Keep an eye on Wendy's UK Instagram and Facebook for further announcements throughout the Euros tournament!

'I tried the new McDonald's dessert and I'm obsessed'

'I tried the new McDonald's dessert and I'm obsessed' McDonald's launched a new menu this week, with some old favourites making a comeback We loved it (Image: Sophie Buchan ) McDonald's has launched the Big Arch burger in the UK and Ireland, as well as other shakeups to its menu. We wasted no time in trying the new addition, as well as everything else on the new menu. This includes the Cheesy McCrispy, Toffee Crisp McFlurry, Halloumi Fries, and Toffee and Apple Pie. The Big Arch is clearly aiming to make a statement, with McDonald's bosses describing it as "iconic" and "unparalleled". But is it as good as some say? Here's what we thought. ‌ The Big Arch, in short, is totally worth the hype. My partner and I both loved it, and he can't stop raving about it. The burgers were incredibly juicy, with two beef patties in each one, and the generous helping of Big Arch sauce was ridiculously good. ‌ There's also slices of white cheddar, crispy and fresh onions, shredded lettuce, and crunchy pickles. It's as bold and delicious as it sounds. However, it is a little on the expensive side for McDonald's. A Big Arch on its own will set you back £7.99, with a medium meal at £9.99 and a large for £10.79. While at first glance, it might seem a bit steep, you're getting a seriously stacked burger, and sides if you go for the meal. Honestly, I've paid more at other places and still walked away hungry. Elsewhere the Cheesy McCrispy features a 100% chicken breast fillet with a crispy coating, topped with lettuce, crispy onions, tangy pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, Emmental cheese, and a rich deluxe cheese sauce. Article continues below The McDonald's burger was juicy (Image: Sophie Buchan ) This burger was packed with flavour, and if I had to nitpick, I'd just want a little extra sauce. Other than that, it was really good, so good in fact. The chicken was juicy, tender, and fell apart easily, and there was plenty of bacon. Content cannot be displayed without consent ‌ Next up we tried the Halloumi Fries. Our only complaint is we'd have happily eaten more than four, and they were especially tasty when dipped in the sweet chilli sauce. My favourite, though, was the Toffee and Apple Pie. I split it with my partner, and I wish I'd kept it all to myself. The ultimate treat, it was rich, sweet, and packed with the gooey apple sauce, which was full of flavour. The warm, crispy outside made it even better. A disappointment (Image: Sophie Buchan ) Article continues below The Toffee Crisp McFlurry, however, was less impressive. We didn't get the Toffee Crisp pieces and when our McFlurry arrived it was also only half full. is back but sadly, we didn't get the Toffee Crisp pieces. When it arrived, our McFlurry was only half full too with just a bit of sauce.

McDonald's fans slam new ‘overpriced' menu item with some branding it ‘rank' and ‘messy'

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MCDONALD'S fans have slammed a new "overpriced" menu item, with some branding it "messy" and "rank". The fast food chain launched the Big Arch burger yesterday alongside a host of other savoury and sweet options. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 McDonald's launched the Big Arch burger in restaurants yesterday The never-before-seen burger combines two beef patties, white cheddar cheese slices, crispy onions, fresh onions, shredded lettuce, crunchy pickles, and a brand new Big Arch sauce. Customers can buy it for £7.99 on its own or £9.99 as part of a medium meal with a drink and side. Thomas O'Neill, head of menu at McDonald's UK&I, said it had taken things "up a notch" with the introduction of the Big Arch, adding: "This isn't about size, it's about flavour." Indeed, some customers are keen on the new burger, saying on Facebook they like the sauce and cheese while others have branded it one of McDonald's' "best" burgers ever. Read more on Fast Food HAPPY MEAL McDonald's launches new menu items today including 'iconic' burger Some customers have noted just how big the burger, which contains 1057 calories, is as well. However, others have been quick to point out some major flaws in the new menu item. One posted on the Snack Reviews Facebook page: "Very nice but very messy." Another added: "It's very messy, the sauce is nice." Meanwhile, a third said it "looks rank" while a fourth simply added: "Dog mess." Others have pointed out how "overpriced" the burger is, with one saying: "£9.99 for a meal now!" While another added: "It might be nice but just a semi posh up version of a normal big pay over £10 which for McDonald's is a rip off." Why McDonald's Cancelled Its New Drive-Thru Plans in Scottish Town (1) A McDonald's spokesperson said it had received "overwhelmingly positive" feedback from customers about the Big Arch. They added: "We designed the burger with our customers in mind and we're delighted to hear that our most exciting burger ever is thrilling burger fans across the UK - delivering on quality and taste! "As with all of our menu items, we refused to compromise on quality and as our biggest burger ever, the Big Arch contains more beef than other products, so the recommended price and calorie content reflect this. "Our customers return to our restaurants day after day as they know they can rely on us to deliver that quality McDonald's experience they love, at a price they can afford and we're committed to continuing that." It comes after McDonald's launched a major menu shake-up yesterday, which included the new Big Arch burger. Customers can also buy a Cheesy McCrispy burger, which costs £6.69 on its own or £8.49 in a medium meal. Halloumi Fries have made a return, with a regular portion costing £2.99 and a large sharebox £7.59. Those in the mood for something sweet can also try the Toffee Crisp McFlurry or Toffee Apple Pie, for £2.39 or £2.09. This is the full list of new items: Big Arch - £7.99 Big Arch medium meal - £9.99 Big Arch large meal - £10.79 Cheesy McCrispy - £6.69 Cheesy McCrispy medium meal - £8.49 Cheesy McCrispy large meal - £9.29 Toffee Crisp McFlurry - £2.39 Halloumi Fries (four-piece) - £2.99 Halloumi Fries Sharebox - £7.59 Toffee Apple Pie - £2.09 The menu shake-up has led to some fan favourites being ditched to make space for the new arrivals though. The Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers, Lotus Biscoff McFlurry and McSpicy x Frank's RedHot burger were all served for the last time on Tuesday. OTHER MCDONALD'S NEWS The Sun revealed last month McDonald's had quietly axed the Chicken Bacon Caesar Wrap as part of a "rotation" of its offering. The wrap, which combined chicken breast strips, crispy onions, rashers of bacon and lettuce, was first launched in summer 2023. A spokesperson said: "As part of our regular wrap rotation, we've taken the Caesar wrap off the menu for now. "We're always evolving our menu with our customers in mind to keep things fresh and exciting." Last October, McDonald's announced it was bringing back its iconic McRib after almost 10 years for a limited time. It came after customers begged for the pork-based sandwich, which first launched in 1981, to make a comeback. However, it was quietly discontinued the following month. A host of other items have come off menus in recent years to make way for new ones including the fan favourite Chicken Legend. The Breakfast Bagel and iconic Sundaes have also fallen off menus since 2018. How to save at McDonald's You could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.
