Library images reveal Birkenhead's history
Historical images of Birkenhead have been published as part of an extensive collection at the town's reference show Hamilton Square, which has the most Grade I listed buildings outside of London, and the Argyle Theatre that was lost in the Blitz of World War familiar venues include the George and Dragon pub and ABC collection includes more than 25,000 digitised photographs, historical maps, and about 16,000 local history items.
