Rent cricket star Chris Lynn's house for $2000/wk
Professional big hitter Chris Lynn has put his luxe, six-bedroom house up for rent for $2000 a week. With Australia bowling out the West Indies for 27 on Day 3 of the third Test in Jamaica, all eyes on the cricket, and the popular batsman's Brisbane pad could be the perfect place for fans to live like a sports star. Lynn, who plays for Queensland and the Adelaide Strikers, paid $1.7m eight years ago for the two-level, six-bedroom home in the upmarket, inner suburb of Windsor. RELATED: Cricket star's home Australia's most viewed auction listing He lived in it with his partner, Karlie, a Pilates instructor, up until recently, but now spends more time at their Sunshine Coast property, just steps from the beach. Records show Lynn bought a house in Bokarina late last year for $2.5m, and also owns another property a few doors down the street, which he bought for $1.6m in 2020. Lynn is the highest run-scorer in Big Bash League history and also competes in International League T20 competitions around the world — most recently signing with the Hampshire Hawks. The Windsor house was last listed for rent for $2200 a week in October last year. Along with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and six-car accommodation, the house offers 180 degree views over the suburbs and parts of the city. There are multiple living areas, a games rooms and a feature staircase that leads to the second storey. On the top level is a kitchen, another open-plan living space, a huge master suite, and a terrace. There's also a heated pool with a water feature, and a patio with a retractable awning and outdoor kitchenette, featuring a built-in teppanyaki plate, sink and bar fridge. The home is equipped with security cameras and there's even enough lawn space to play backyard cricket. Lynn and his partner welcomed their first child, Lily, in 2022.

Toby Albert guides Hampshire to victory over Glamorgan
Hampshire Hawks wrapped up a 95-run over Glamorgan for a second Vitality Blast win in as many days to boost their South Group qualification hopes. Having come through for a narrow three-wicket victory over Middlesex on Wednesday night, there was no such late drama at the Utilita Bowl. Hampshire opener Toby Albert hit an unbeaten 98 off 57 balls, with seven fours and five sixes, as the hosts made 208 for four. Joe Weatherley (31) and Hilton Cartwright (48) offered support to help the Hawks set a testing target. Glamogan, who had started the day above their hosts in third spot, failed to build any momentum in their run chase. Asa Tribe was the top scorer with 20 as Hampshire bowlers picked up regular wickets to close out a comfortable win. Glamogan were all out for 113 in 18.5 overs. Sonny Baker finished with four wickets. In the North Group, Leicestershire Foxes secured a six-wicket win over rivals Northamptonshire Steelbacks at the County Ground to boost their own top-four hopes. Rehan Ahmed's unbeaten half century (52) saw the Foxes home past their victory target at the start of the 17th over at 173 for four. After opener Rishi Patel had been caught and bowled off the third delivery by Steelbacks captain David Willey, the Foxes regrouped as Shan Masood (25) and Sol Budinger (40) pushed them on in support of Ahmed. George Scrimshaw finished with three wickets. Northamptonshire had posted 171 for seven after being put into bat. After opener Tim Robinson fell for a two-ball duck to Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek, the Steelbacks mounted a recovery with a rapid 30 from Saif Zaib. Ravi Bopara (53) stayed on to make a half-century, hitting six fours and one over the rope, but was swiftly running out of partners as more wickets fell through successive overs before Luke Procter finished 22 not out off 17 deliveries. Worcestershire Rapids edged to a 12-run win at bottom side Derbyshire. The Rapids, having won the toss and deciding to bat, looked in trouble at 10 for four in the third over after Zak Chappell took wickets in successive balls. Wicketkeeper-batter Gareth Roderick, though, steadied the innings with a solid 71, hitting four fours and two sixes. Ethan Brookes made 43 before Ben Dwarshuis ended unbeaten on 33 as the visitors reached 174 for six. The Falcons lost opener Aneurin Donald to the first ball of their reply – with an unbeaten 77 from Wayne Madsen just not enough to get them to their target, finishing short at 162 for six.

Somerset produce final over victory to return to winning ways at Hampshire
Vitality Blast: Hampshire 178-3 lost to Somerset 179-6 by four wickets Somerset returned to winning ways in the Men's Vitality Blast and cemented their place at the top of the South Group with a last-over win over Hampshire Hawks, writes Alex Smith. Advertisement Sean Dickson led Somerset's chase of 179 with a sublime 52, having been accompanied by Tom Abell in an 89-run fourth wicket partnership. But a spree of wickets made sure the visitors still required 23 off two overs and then 11 off the last, but Ben Green and Lewis Goldsworthy reached the winning line with a ball to spare. Earlier, James Vince and Joe Weatherley had ravaged 82 and 60 in a massive 141-run stand but it wasn't enough. Somerset were miserly with the new ball, after stand-in captain Tom Kohler-Cadmore had chosen to bowl first, as they forced the Hawks to flounder in the first eight overs. Advertisement Ali Orr turned to short leg second ball, and while Toby Albert tried hard to inject some impetus into the innings he was caught and bowled by Riley Meredith for a 19-ball 27. Hampshire were 39 for two at the end of the eighth over, with Vince stumbling to just six runs – having already been one off 10 and five off 16 balls. But from that point Vince and the hosts started scoring runs and barely stopped for the remaining 12 overs. Vince kicked into gear with back-to-back boundaries off Ben Green to start the ninth over before roaring through his repertoire of bat cracking strokes. The tortoise-esque start was long forgotten as sixes became an overly sight off Vince and Weatherley's bats. Advertisement Vince reached his fifty in 41 balls, having been one off 10, before further accelerating to end up with a strike rate of almost 144. Weatherley had been equally important to the resuscitation of the innings and ended up with five sixes, to one four, having whacked his half-century in 38 balls – brought up with a huge pulled maximum. In total, the Vince and Weatherley alliance put on 141 in 85 balls, just three runs shy of the all-time record partnership for Hampshire against Somerset. And even though Vince picked out long on with a ball to go, the Hawks reached 178. Somerset were more even paced in their chase, but lost wickets just as batters started to click. Advertisement Tom Banton flew a six before slapping to mid off next ball, Will Smeed inside-edged behind, and Kohler-Cadmore had his stumps dismantled by Liam Dawson. But they found stickability in Dickson and Abell – who put on 89 in 57 balls. Dickson naturally took the aggressor role with a quartet of square sixes as Abell rotated strike and found boundaries when they were provided. Dickson reached his second fifty of the campaign in 30 balls but within five balls of each other he and Abell had departed. Dickson holing out before Abell was incredibly caught and bowled by Scott Currie with 36 still required. Tom Lammonby picked out cover in the penultimate over but Goldsworthy and Green took it down to 11 from the final six balls. Sonny Baker stood up against his former club but a Green six with the third ball over midwicket turned the tide in Somerset's favour.
