Fans were surprised to learn that London's O2 Arena had a fully vegan menu for sale to concert-goers, which included a peri-peri halloumi wrap, chipotle tacos, pancakes and pizza. Billie Eilish says she's working with James Cameron on some sort of 3D concert thing
Billie Eilish teased fans with a surprising collaboration at a concert in Manchester last night, revealing that there were more cameras in the arena than usual because she was working on a project 'with somebody named James Cameron, and it's going to be in 3D.' Noting (per Deadline) that Cameron was apparently somewhere in the audience for the show, Eilish said she couldn't reveal exact details about the project, but that it would involve the four-show run she's currently doing in the U.K. city, as part of Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour. The obvious assumption here, of course, is a concert film: Eilish did one for her second studio album, Happier Than Ever, back in 2021, tapping director Robert Rodriguez and Oscar-winner Patrick Osborne for a film that blended live-action and animation. She wouldn't be the first major artist to do a concert film in 3D, either—U2, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and many others have pulled the trick. But getting Cameron on board would certainly lend the project some clout, and possibly some technical spark. The big question mark here, obviously, is the man himself; he's never done a concert film, and if he's a big fan of Eilish's work, we can't find any interviews to that effect. (The pair have never worked together professionally, possibly because Eilish doesn't sing in Na'vi.) A full concert film would also run into the fact that Cameron is insanely busy, what with all those Avatars he's still in the process of making (Fire And Ash! Out December 19!) as well as the Hiroshima movie he keeps reminding people he's going to film. If someone was going to do something insanely technically complicated in terms of realizing a concert film, though we certainly wouldn't put it past the man. (We haven't been to this tour; does Eilish go very deep under the water at any point?) But for now, it's not clear what exactly she and Cameron are cooking up together, or on what scale. 'I saw Billie Eilish at the O2 - I couldn't stop sobbing when she sang this song'
Billie Eilish is on the final stretch of her sold-out six-night run at London's O2 Arena. I managed to get some last-minute tickets, and even though I'm not a huge fan, this one song made me cry. To celebrate the success of her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, Billie Eilish is currently on the UK leg of her tour, which kicked off on July 7 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Now in London and in the final stages of her sold-out six-night run, I was lucky enough to be part of a crowd that cried, screamed and healed together. With over 124 million Instagram followers, nine Grammy wins and two Oscars, Billie Eilish is undeniably one of the biggest musicians of her generation. Her album Hit Me Hard and Soft debuted at number one in the UK, marking her biggest opening week in the country to date. It also follows the success of her previous two albums, Where We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? And Happier Than Ever. I have to admit that I've never been a huge fan of Billie's music, nor did I think that I'd ever see her performing live. But let me tell you, this was the best concert that I've been to. It was the first time that I bawled my eyes out at the concert - and I wasn't ashamed of it. '95 minutes of happy tears' My best friend and I had an incredible view; we could see everything so clearly thanks to the stage design - Billie sang on a large box which was positioned in the centre of the arena, giving fans a good view no matter where they were seated. At 20:15 on the dot, she began the show with her hit song CHIHIRO. Billie herself said the show was about bonding with one another and forgetting about the problems outside of the arena, even if it was just for a short while. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. Everybody loves her, and now I see why Throughout the show, she performed her biggest hits from her new and old albums, including LUNCH, NDA, Therefore I Am, WILDFLOWER, when the party's over, THE DINER, everything i wanted, BLUE, What Was I Made For?, Happier Than Ever, the iconic Guess (though sadly without Charli XCX), and even my all-time favourite song, BIRDS OF A FEATHER. That's when I completely lost composure and burst into happy tears. During the 95-minute show, I had goose bumps. She delivered an outstanding performance, proving why her career is so successful. Billie is definitely the kind of artist you have to witness at least once in your life. Her voice is so angelic that it stays with you. My experience at the concert also made me realise why everyone loves her so much. It was amazing - so many tears, smiles and the kind of therapy I didn't know I needed. It was an unforgettable and unpredictable night with my closest friend, where we sang our hearts out from the beginning until the end. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below.
