Happy ARMY Day! BTS' V and Jimin celebrate fan club anniversary with heartfelt messages
July 9 celebrates the birth of ARMY, the largest fanbase in K-pop history! The day commemorates the unbreakable link between BTS and its global audience. BTS officially christened their fan club "ARMY" on this day in 2013, and it has since developed into a global identity, movement, and force that has changed the face of music fandom.
But "ARMY" is more than just a moniker. It represents undying loyalty, shared aspirations, and a journey taken together - through every high note, pain, and headline. On this day, BTS and ARMY celebrate more than just another anniversary; they honor a bond that feels like family.
VMin light the spark for ARMY Day 2025
This year, it was V - Kim Taehyung - who first set the tone for the celebrations. The ever-charming vocalist, currently in Paris as CELINE's ambassador for their Printemps 2026 show, took to Weverse to send love to ARMY.
In his first post, he shared a soft, wine-lit selfie with the caption, "Happy ARMY Day~" followed by a heart and champagne emoji. A second photo soon followed, this time with a wine bottle in hand and a simple, warm message: "Hope you have the happiest day ever today," complete with a party emoji.

Not long after, Jimin joined in from the other side of the world. The beloved member posted a picture from the studio, where he, SUGA, and Jungkook are currently stationed in Los Angeles alongside RM for the much-anticipated BTS camp.
In his heartfelt note, Jimin wrote: "ARMY's birthday… Happy birthday… I love you. I'll work hard and come back to you!!"

The statement warmed hearts, indicating that, while the group works hard behind the scenes, their relationship with ARMY remains up and center.
The long-awaited return of seven
After nearly two years apart, BTS is finally whole again. The emotional countdown began on June 10, when members started completing their military service and reuniting with already-discharged Jin and J-Hope. By June 21, SUGA - the final member - was also free.
Then, on July 1, the moment millions had been waiting for arrived: BTS reunited live on Weverse, making their first appearance as seven since enlistment. There, they announced what fans had only hoped for: a new album out in spring 2026, followed by a world tour that threatens to rewrite records once more.
