Chef-O-Nette reopens Upper Arlington restaurant
UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — A local restaurant that closed down temporarily in 2024 is now welcoming customers again after management changes and renovations.
Chef-O-Nette at 2090 Tremont Center reopened to the public in June after undergoing several renovations to the restaurant, according to a social media post. Business operations were taken over by Michael Purdum in early 2024 from Harlan Howard. Howard had been in the business with family since 1972, according to the company website.

The restaurant first opened in 1955, serving a variety of food, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef-O-Nette also has its history of being one of the first drive-thrus in the nation, according to its website.
From its post in 2024, the restaurant mentioned its goal of keeping the eatery's 'vintage look' while making the necessary updates. Those changes included a new HVAC system, remodeled restrooms, new carpet and upholstery and more.
With its reopening, Chef-O-Nette mentioned that customers can expect to see some familiar items on its menu, like the 'Hangover' and its classic milkshakes, along with some new additions. Chef-O-Nette is now open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily and will be closed on Tuesdays.
