The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced more men's A tour fixtures for the upcoming home season while the senior women's side will host Australia in three matches before the home ODI World Cup India's home season will start with the women's team hosting Australia in three ODIs in Chennai, starting September 14. The tour will follow the women's tour to England in July for five T20Is and three ODIs as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side limbers up for the World Cup to be held in India between October-November this year. More India A series The board announced that the India A men's team will host Australia and South Africa in two multi-format series, starting in late September. Interestingly, the BCCI's recently inaugurated Centre of Excellence will also host two Multi-Day matches of the South Africa series, marking the first major matches to be held at the venue. The senior men's Proteas team will also be in India from November 14, engaging in an extensive tour, featuring in two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is.

India close in on no 2 in ODI rankings after tri-series triumph in Sri Lanka
The Indian women's cricket team is closing in on the number two spot in the latest ODI rankings released by the ICC (International Cricket Council) on Wednesday, May 14. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has benefited from their recent golden run in the format as it gained eight rating points. The Women in Blue continue to occupy the third spot with 127 ratings and are six ratings behind England, who sit on the second spot with 127 latest rankings update carries 50 per cent weightage for matches between May 2022 and April 2024 and 100 per cent thereafter.
