Pamela Anderson: 'AI technology and filters make people boring-looking'

Pamela Anderson wants to "challenge beauty norms". The former Playboy Bunny says AI and filters are making people become "boring-looking" and she would much rather people embrace their natural beauty like she has done by freeing herself of make-up. Pamela told the July/August issue of Harper's Bazaar UK: "I think that with AI technology and filters, people are becoming kind of boring-looking. I want to challenge beauty norms. I've always been a rebel. I never see somebody and think, 'I want to look like that.' I just want to see who I am. At some point you have to say, 'This is all I've got.' Surrender to it. And it's real happiness. It's freedom to know you can walk on a red carpet without a stitch of make-up on. I mean, why can't I? Men do it all the time." The ex-Baywatch babe - who has sons Brandon Thomas, 29, and Dylan Jagger, 27, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee - has been enjoying the freedom and independence being single has afforded her. She told the publication: "I love being in a creative space. That's my happy place. I guess it's a romantic space, but it's not necessarily about men or about relationships. It's about seeing what you're made of, what you're supposed to contribute to the world. I love poetry, film and music, and I feel like I'm just trying to live this part of my life as authentically as possible." The Last Showgirl star continued: "I don't know what my next incarnation will be, but right now, I want to peel it back. Clean up a little bit and just see: who am I?" Pamela - who was previously wed to Kid Rock, Rick Salomon, and Dan Hayhurst, the latter of whom she split from in 2022, after just over a year of marriage - admits she would have to "really trust" the person to consider embarking on a romance again. She added: "I feel like because I've been given this second chance – not everybody gets one – I get to do it my way. And so, if anyone comes into my life, I have to really trust that it won't interfere with my one shot." The July/August issue of Harper's Bazaar UK is on sale from 19 June. Pamela Anderson debuts a textured French bob haircut – and it's the trend of summer 2025

Looking for a new summer hairstyle? Look no further than the French bob à la Pamela Anderson. It's chic, it's airy and above all, it's super low-maintenance. Thanks, Pam! The actor's brand new haircut in question dropped via Harper's Bazaar UK's most recent July/August issue. Pam dons the magazine cover wearing a crisp white shirt, sparkling jewels and most importantly, the jaw-length hairstyle. Beauty-wise, it also appears that Pam is staying true to her diversion from makeup – a decision she made at the beginning of 2023. "I think that with AI technology and filters, people are becoming kind of boring-looking. I want to challenge beauty norms," she says in the Harper's Bazaar interview. "I've always been a rebel. I never see somebody and think, 'I want to look like that.' I just want to see who I am. A some point, you have to say, 'This is all I've got.' Surrender to it. And it's real happiness. It's freedom to know you can walk on a red carpet without a stitch of make-up on. I mean, why can't I? Men do it all the time." Hear, hear! Now, if, like Pamela, you're looking to challenge beauty norms with a shorter, more rebellious hairstyle, we've got the details on how you can achieve it. As its name suggests, the French bob draws inspiration from the Parisian chic look; "It's that effortlessly cool, jaw-skimming cut that just screams Parisian chic," Samantha Cusick, Contributing Cosmopolitan expert and professional hairstylist, previously told Cosmopolitan UK. "It's short, sharp and always looks like you've made zero effort (in the best way)." But what differentiates it from its bob counterparts? Well, the length! "It's all about that blunt jaw-length chop," Sam says. "Sometimes you'll see a bit of subtle layering to give it some movement, but the shape is what really makes it." Think: sharp and thick yet still loose and airy. And we predict the French bob is going to be *big* this summer. Humidity hair? Embrace the frizz bby! Wavy hair types work great with bobs that are designed to be worn with movement. Anything flipped over or where flicks or texture is desired is ideal for achieving the French bob look. ‘I love nice things': Priyanka Chopra reveals the best piece of fashion advice she's ever received

Priyanka Chopra has always been a global fashion icon, effortlessly blending elegance with comfort. From red carpets to everyday street style, the actor has repeatedly set fashion goals. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Chopra shared her most valuable fashion lesson: trusting her instinct and prioritising comfort over trends. Speaking about her approach to style, Chopra revealed: 'I think the best piece of fashion advice I've ever been given is to trust my instinct. What I've learned about style over the years is to not overthink it—like your first instinct with what you're gravitating towards is probably what you're going to feel most comfortable in. And if you're comfortable, I think you end up feeling your best.' This philosophy has guided her through years of public appearances, magazine covers, and international events. Rather than following fleeting trends, the actress believes that confidence and comfort are the real markers of great style. While Priyanka has wowed audiences with her extravagant gowns at the Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival, her personal style has evolved into something more relaxed, she says. 'My personal style has really, really evolved. I used to actually get dressed a lot more in my personal life when I first started in my career, and now, I think—I don't know—I can't be bothered. My personal life has really pivoted to comfortable chic.' However, that doesn't mean she has let go of her love for luxury. She admits: 'I love nice things, so I love luxury, don't get me wrong, but I have to be comfortable and functional as well.' For Chopra, fashion isn't just about looking good—it's about telling a story. She sees clothing as an extension of her personality and emotions. 'What we wear matters because I think it's an extension of expressing yourself. Without words, being able to express who you are, how you're feeling, how you want the world to perceive you—I think it's like an extra layer of power almost.' Each day, she embraces a new version of herself through her outfits: 'When I wake up in the morning and pick what I'm going to wear, I kind of think about who this girl is today. Like, we change every single day, and we're different people, and I think clothes sort of help me express that.' Chopra's advice serves as a reminder that true style isn't about blindly following trends—it's about embracing individuality, comfort, and confidence. Whether it's a high-fashion couture gown or a cosy airport look, her approach is all about authenticity.

Rosamund Pike punched by mugger

Rosamund Pike was punched in her face by a mugger who stole her phone. The 'Gone Girl' star was targeted by a thief on a bicycle during a "horrible" incident in London back in 2006 revealing the mugger hit her in the face and made off with her device. She had been talking to her mother on the phone at the time and Rosamund admits it was terrifying for them both. During an appearance on Magic Radio, she explained: "I was on the phone to my mother – on a mobile phone walking along a road – and I was mugged. "The phone was snatched so all she heard was me scream and a thud and the phone went dead." Rosamund walked to a nearby pub where she was meeting friends and she was able to call her mother to tell her she was alright. She added: "I just walked to the pub and called her there when I met my friends. For her, it was probably a pretty horrible 15 minutes." The actress explained the mugger was "some kid on a bicycle" who had smacked her in the face, adding: "[They] punched me down the side of my cheek and snatched my phone out of my hand." It comes after Rosamund opened up about being was asked to strip to her underwear during her 'James Bond' audition. The Hollywood actress - who played Miranda Frost opposite Pierce Brosnan in 2002 movie 'Die Another Day' - insisted while she had no issue with steamy scenes in the movie, she wasn't willing to do so before she'd landed the role. She told Harper's Bazaar UK magazine: "In the Bond audition, I was asked to unzip and drop the dress I was wearing, to just stand there in underwear. "And I thought, 'Well, no, I'll be doing that if I get the part. I won't be doing that now'." She recalled refusing the request, and added: 'I don't know what possessed me." The following year, Rosamund was cast in a production of 'Hitchcock Blonde', which required her to walk across the stage in the nude. She said: "There was a moment of, 'F***, they've given me this absolute stellar part, but it involves nudity.' "I was taken for a very considerate, you might say, lunch by the director to say, 'Are you aware of this?' ' She insisted the meeting wasn't necessary as the director "knew exactly what was on the table, which was a brilliant role in a fantastic new play".
