Stock Market Today: Hathway Cable & Datacom, a small-cap stock under ₹ 20, skyrocketed over 13% during the intraday trade on Wednesday, following the announcement of the company's Q1 results. In Q1 FY26, the consolidated net profit for Hathway Cables saw a sharp 69% rise to ₹ 31.03 crore compared to ₹ 18.37 crore in the year-ago quarter. The strong jump in net profit during the April-June 2025 quarter was driven by a sharp improvement in the operating performance. The profit before tax stood at ₹ 40.28 crore during the April-June quarter of 2025, up nearly 60% compared to ₹ 25.29 crore in the April-June 2024 quarter. The revenue from operations came in at ₹ 530.50 crore during the quarter under review, a 5.55% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to ₹ 502.61 crore during the April-June 2024 quarter. Hathway Cable & Datacom share price opened at ₹ 16.10 on the BSE on Wednesday, up 2% from the previous trading session's closing price of ₹ 15.77. The small-cap stock under ₹ 20 soon extended gains to intraday highs of ₹ 17.95, which meant an upside of 13.8% during the intraday trade on Wednesday. Hathway Cable & Datacom share price had scaled a 52-week, or 1-year, high of ₹ 25.66 in July last year. However, the Hathway Cable & Datacom share price had seen a significant correction thereafter to 52-week or 1-year lows of ₹ 11.94 in April this year, following a sharp correction in the Indian Stock Markets amidst valuation concerns and global uncertainties, led by geopolitical tensions and also the tariff-related concerns. However, the small-cap stock has rebounded well from the 52-week low.

Hathway Cable & Datacom jumped 5.71% to Rs 16.67 after the company's consolidated net profit surged 68.92% to Rs 31.03 on a 5.55% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 530.50 crore in Q1 FY26 over Q1 FY25. Profit before tax jumped 59.27% year on year (YoY) to Rs 40.28 crore during the quarter under review. Total expenses rose 4.93% to Rs 527.95 crore in Q1 FY26 over Q1 FY25. During the quarter, pay channel cost stood at Rs 268.94 crore (up 12.73% YoY), and other expenses were at Rs 67.85 crore (down 5.59% YoY) during the period under review. The company's revenue from dealing in securities was at Rs 21.40 crore (down 40.05% YoY), while revenue from the cable television segment stood at Rs 361.83 crore (up 7.64% YoY) and revenue from broadband business was at Rs 147.27 crore (down 2.59% YoY) during the period under review. Hathway Cable & Datacom is engaged in the distribution of internet services through cable and has a strategic stake in entities engaged in the cable television business.

Hathway Cable & Datacom share price today: Shares of cable operator Hathway Cable & Datacom surged around 14 per cent to hit an intraday high of ₹17.95 per share on Wednesday, July 16, after the company posted a strong set of numbers in the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26). At 11:30 AM, Hathway Cable share price was trading at ₹17.37 per share, up 10.36 per cent compared to its previous day's close of ₹15.74 on the NSE. In comparison, the NSE Nifty50 was down 53.1 points or 0.21 per cent at 25,141.7. The company's total market capitalisation stood at ₹3,047.67 crore. The stock has recovered over 50 per cent from its 52-week low of ₹11.94 touched on April 7, 2025. Hathway Cable & Datacom Q4 PAT rises to Rs 35 crore

Hathway Cable & Datacom's consolidated net profit increased marginally to Rs 34.68 crore in Q4 FY25 as against Rs 34.57 crore posted in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations rose 4% YoY to Rs 513.15 crore in the quarter ended 31 March 2025. Profit before exceptional items and tax was at Rs 36.45 crore in Q4 FY25, registering de-growth of 9.12% from Rs 40.11 crore recorded in Q4 FY24. The company reported an exceptional profit of Rs 0.45 crore during the quarter. The company's revenue from the cable television segment stood at Rs 346.09 crore (up 4.67% YoY), while revenue from broadband business was at Rs 149.35 crore (down 2.92% YoY) and revenue from dealing in securities was at Rs 17.71 crore (down 98.98% YoY) during the period under review. On a full-year basis, the companys consolidated net profit declined by 6.84% to Rs 92.51 crore, while revenue increased by 2.96% to Rs 2,039.65 crore in FY25 compared to FY24. Hathway Cable & Datacom is one of the largest multiple-system operators (MSOs) and cable broadband service providers in India. The counter shed 0.62% to Rs 14.45 on the BSE.
