Enhypen Reaches New Career Highs With Its Latest Era

The group has been steadily growing its fanbase in Western markets after breaking out and becoming superstars in South Korea. It took the vocal troupe several years to reach the United Kingdom's music charts, but with each passing project, the group becomes bigger and bigger. Enhypen lands a new hit song in the U.K. this week with 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' The track debuts on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, opening at Nos. 20 and 21, respectively. As 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' debuts, Enhypen earns its first top 40 hit on both of those purchase-centric tallies in the U.K. The tune brings the K-pop favorites to a new high point, outpacing 'XO (Only If You Say Yes)' by more than 20 spaces. Enhypen has now collected five total hits on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. The K-pop group first landed on these lists in April 2024 with 'Sweet Venom, and since then, the outfit has appeared with ' XO (Only If You Say Yes),' 'No Doubt,' 'Lucid,' and now 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' So far, every one of those tunes has managed just one turn on the tally. 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' serves as the lead single from Enhypen's new EP Desire: Unleash. That short set appears only on the Official Album Downloads chart in the U.K., where it soars to a new high of No. 31 after debuting at No. 80 last frame, a position it hit after a shortened tracking period of availability. Enhypen had been collecting placements on the Official Album Downloads list for years before scoring a hit song. The group launched on the downloads-only tally in December 2020 and has thus far scored six bestselling releases, with its newest arrival landing somewhere in the middle in terms of peak position.

K-pop boy group Enhypen's new merchandise line is going viral but not for the right reasons. Among the items sold in their Walk the Line in Japan - Summer Edition merchandise is a water gun, and fans quickly discovered that the design looks a little too familiar. In a post that has garnered close to three million views and over 19,000 reposts on X, a user compared a photo of the water gun to a listing on the Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao. The water gun on the latter is identical in design down to the colours and costs 16.8 yuan (S$3), while Enhypen's is going for 30,450 won (S$29). "It's really not good to take something that sells for 3,000 won on Taobao and sell it for 30,000 won with only a logo on it," said the user who shared the post on X. Enhypen ‘unleashes' dark side with 6th EP
Enhypen is set to roll out its sixth EP 'Desire: Unleash' on Thursday and shared its thoughts on the album through a statement released via agency Belift Lab. ''Desire' is the key word for all tracks on the album,' said Heeseung. "How each song is different in color will be attractive and interesting.' The eight-track set is fronted by 'Bad Desire (With or Without You),' which, according to Jake, 'only Enhypen can pull off.' 'The EP will serve as a significant momentum,' mused Jay, underlining how much effort they put into perfecting it, all the more to keep up the energy it gained from a successful debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April. The new mini album received over 2 million in preorders, raising expectations for it to become the band's third album to sell over 2 million, after its fifth EP 'Orange Blood' and second LP 'Romance: Untold.'
