Kate Middleton reveals awkward run-in between her dad and Tim Henman at Wimbledon
Wimbledon is one of Kate Middleton's favourite summer events. She's attended the Grand Slam for years. But during one of her earlier visits, she had a moment she still laughs and cringes about. Kate, now 43, spoke about it in a 2017 BBC documentary, Our Wimbledon. It was a funny memory involving her dad, tennis legend Tim Henman, and a small but awkward mix-up. 'My father is not going to appreciate this,' she said in the interview. 'But we were walking past Tim Henman and we had just seen Pete Sampras play.' That's when her dad turned to Henman and said, 'Hi Pete.' 'I was mortified,' Kate said, laughing. According to Hello Magazine, Kate has been a regular at Wimbledon for years. As the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she often watches from the Royal Box. She usually goes with Prince William. Sometimes, she brings their kids along too. Prince George and Princess Charlotte have already attended matches. Their younger brother, Prince Louis, hasn't yet - but he's a big fan at home. Kate once said he likes pretending to be a ball boy. Her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, also enjoy the sport. They've been seen at Wimbledon many times. Despite the Henman blunder, Kate and her dad remain very close. Michael Middleton still joins her at Wimbledon now and then. In 2021, they were seen laughing together and taking part in a Mexican wave, reported Hello Magazine. It's clear Kate inherited her love for tennis from her family. She's also passed that love on to her own children. She's said many times how much the sport means to her. Kate has even played tennis on camera before. She once joined Emma Raducanu for a friendly match during a youth event in London. Wimbledon 2025 starts on June 30. It runs for two weeks. Kate is expected to attend, but her schedule hasn't been confirmed. She usually presents the trophies to the champions. Fans are also curious if any of the royal kids will be with her. George and Charlotte have already made appearances. Many are hoping Louis might make his Wimbledon debut this year. For now, fans are just happy to hear Kate share such a funny, honest story. It's not every day a royal admits to being 'mortified' by their dad - even if it's in the Royal Box. She recalled her dad mistakenly greeting Tim Henman as 'Pete,' confusing him with Pete Sampras. Yes, she's a regular attendee and has often presented trophies at the finals. It's not confirmed, but Louis has yet to make his debut at the tournament.

Lady Louise reunites with university friend Felix and mum Duchess Sophie at Sandringham trials
Lady Louise Windsor was seen at Sandringham on Friday, taking part in the annual Horse Driving Trials - an event founded by her grandfather, Prince Philip. According to Hello Magazine, the royal was joined by her mother, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and close university friend Felix da Silva-Clamp. Louise looked focused and confident as she guided her carriage. It's a sport she's been passionate about since her teenage years. The connection goes beyond just competition. Carriage driving is something she shared with her grandfather. Prince Philip introduced the sport to Sandringham in 1982. It became a tradition. And Louise has helped keep it alive. On Friday, that bond was clearly visible. Competing on the same grounds where her grandfather once did, Louise seemed both calm and assured. Felix, who met Louise at the University of St Andrews, was seen watching from the sidelines. Dressed in a smart yet relaxed outfit, he appeared fully engaged in the moment. He and Louise have been spotted together before, often at informal settings. He later chatted warmly with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. The two were seen smiling and speaking between events. Sophie greeted other guests as well, clearly enjoying the sunny outing. The Duchess has spoken before about her daughter's love for carriage driving. She's supported Louise's decision to continue in the sport Prince Philip cared about so deeply. Louise wore a beige overcoat and gloves. She completed her look with a black helmet, practical for the event but also adding a smart finish. Her appearance came weeks after she skipped Trooping the Colour in London. Her parents were present, but Louise and her younger brother James stayed away. Her absence was said to be linked to her academic calendar. Now in her third year studying English Literature, Lady Louise is focused on her university life. She's involved with the University Officers' Training Corps and is said to be active in other campus circles. St Andrews has long been a favourite among young royals. Prince William and Princess Kate both studied there. For Louise, the event at Sandringham was more than just sport. It was about family, memory, and carrying forward a legacy she clearly values. As she drove across the field, with her mother and friend close by, it was a picture of quiet tradition continuing in its own way. Lady Louise holds the title of 'Lady' because her parents chose not to use the HRH style granted to her at birth. Princess Beatrice's father is the King's brother, and her royal title was used formally from birth, unlike Lady Louise whose parents opted for a more private upbringing. Lady Louise was born with esotropia, a condition that affects eye alignment, which was later corrected through surgery.

Tamzin Outhwaite makes major romance vow as she spills on toyboy split
Actress Tamzin Outhwaite has issued an update on her love life and the major change she is making going forward following her split from ex boyfriend Tom Child last summer Tamzin Outhwaite has made a life-changing vow following the split from her boyfriend Tom Child after six years together. The actress, 54, met Tom, 33, at a yoga class in 2017 and their love blossomed away from their mats. However, things were not meant to be between the pair as they went their separate ways last summer. Tamzin has been open about her struggle with love, having previously been married to actor Tom Ellis, 46. They split in 2014 amid cheating allegations while Tom was filming Once Upon A Time with actress Emile De Ravin. After six years in a relationship with someone two decades younger than her, Tamzin has revealed she is now ready to be on her own. Tamzin and Tom parted ways amicably and have remained one of each others best friends. Yet, after their split Tamzin has decided to make a huge change going forward in her love life with a very strict rule. She told Hello Magazine: "He's still one of my best friends, and I adore him. But I had to say: ''I don't want to share a bed. I'm in a phase where I need to be on my own'." Last year, Tamzin opened up to the Mirror about her newfound single status. 'I'm happy single,' she told us. 'There's a lot on! Life is really busy, throwing a relationship into that is a whole other thing. "Freedom fills up my cup, freedom to do as you please is a lovely thing. That makes me happy.' Tamzin, who took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special last year, said she is on a quest to challenge herself, build on things that make her happy and 'fill up my own cup' 'I'm just trying to stay open, get out of my comfort zone and do different things to help me grow,' she added. 'I'm on a bit of a mission at the moment. I want to do more things that give you fear because even going through the fear is important. That's where your growth happens as a person.' Tamzin's change in pace began after the menopause hit while she was trying to juggle her busy life as an actress, a mum-of-two, and a doting daughter to her elderly father who lives 'at the end of the garden'. She decided to throw herself into wellness, learning breathwork, stepping up her yoga practice and building a sauna in her spare room. Tamzin said: 'Taking stock, taking a breath and retreating is something I've been learning to do so I can fill up my own cup then come back into my life and do everything that I do, which is keeping up a career, keeping up home, keeping up everything to do with my children and my dad, who lives with me at the end of the garden. "It's making sure everyone is OK. I'm not a saint but juggling all the plates and a career on top of that can be quite stifling.'
