Nadia Bartel reveals new details about split with ex-husband and AFL star Jimmy in emotional interview: 'I was in a bad place'
Nadia Bartel has revealed 'the most intense experience' she had following her devastating split from AFL star Jimmy. The Aussie model, 40, who ended her marriage with her husband of five years in 2019, sat down with Bec Judd and Jess Roberts on their podcast Vain-ish, where she discussed her self-care regimen. Speaking to the podcast hosts, the Henne founder revealed that she turned to meditation and breathwork to 'recentre' herself in the wake of her divorce. 'I got into that after the split from my marriage,' she told Bec and Jess. Speaking of her breathwork journey, Nadia said that the recommendation came from a mate who 'knew I was struggling'. She turned to Jess and Bec, saying: 'I was in a bad place, as you guys knew.' Nadia's friend said that her brother had recently gone through a break-up too and had turned to breathwork as a means of therapy. 'When you're going through something, you're willing to do anything,' Nadia added about the experience. Despite saying she probably wouldn't have tried if she had Googled it beforehand, Nadia said the experience was 'incredible'. 'It was three hours of the most intense experience,' she said, adding that the instructor taught her how to get into a meditative state through breathing in and out. 'It was almost hard to do it. You're having all these intense thoughts when you're doing it,' she said. 'And then my whole body and fingers started cramping and tears were pouring... 'It was like an out-of-body' experience.' Nadia and Jimmy, who were once considered the glamour couple of the AFL, separated in 2019 after five years of marriage. The couple married back in 2014 and share two sons, Henley and Aston. Nadia said at the time: 'It's been a very difficult month for me and the boys.' 'My single focus now is to continue to protect, care for, and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter. I am so thankful for my very supportive family and friends.' Jimmy, famous for his tenure with the Geelong Football Club, welcomed a baby girl with his now-girlfriend Amelia Shepperd on April 4, 2023. Nadia and former footballer Peter Dugmore went public with their relationship at the 2024 Australian Open tennis and the couple are still going strong.

Black Henne 'Valentina' jeans with a sheer Maj'r off-the-shoulder top, a Lem pleather coat and black, pointed kitten heels. … on the plane? Comfy, oversized wide-leg jeans with a Cotton On singlet, blazer, sneakers and my Oroton travel bag. … on the red carpet? A couture gown by Melbourne designer Oglia-Loro who does a lot of my red-carpet looks. Sam [Oglialoro] also made my wedding gown and reception dress. What's your favourite fashion era? I like now, especially for the way we're moving away from fast fashion and investing more in long-term pieces. Who are your favourite designers? Henne for well-made everyday pieces and Venroy for holidays and summer staples. I also love Camilla and Marc, Viktoria & Woods, Effie Kats, Natalie Rolt, and Paul Vasileff. What's your fragrance of choice? My mum gave me a bottle of Chanel 'Coco Mademoiselle' for my hens party. I wore it for my wedding, and I love it so much, I haven't stopped since.

Melbourne influencer Nadia Bartel has once again proven she's queen of the summer style stakes. The former WAG, 40, sent temperatures soaring with a candid bikini snap from her latest sun-drenched getaway. Over the past week, the social media sensation has been sharing a series of updates from her luxury European getaway alongside boyfriend Peter Dugmore and her two sons - Aston, nine, and Henley, six. Now, Nadia has since traded designer shopping trips in overcast Paris for the sunny shores of a luxury resort in Sicily, Italy. On Friday, Nadia showcased her incredibly toned physique in a barely-there two piece, which she wore on a family excursion to the beach. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, Peter snapped a candid shot of his Instagram model partner tucking into a delicious plate of protein at a beachside restaurant. With her signature sun-kissed glow and perfectly coiffed hair, the Henne co-founder looked every inch the carefree vacationer. She also shared a photo of her 'little loves' Aston and Henley posing with their best 'serious face.' On Thursday, she spent the morning lounging around her accommodation with Peter while she wore a $70 Crop Shop Boutique tank top and a pair of $260 black-and-white Nagnata sports shorts. Nadia and Peter are going from strength to strength, having met after Peter slid into the Instagram model's DMs. 'I don't usually respond to Instagram messages, and I don't know if it was because I was feeling lonely, but I responded,' she told her followers on Instagram. 'I looked at his profile and we had some mutual friends and he looked like a nice guy. He also didn't have a lot of posts – and I liked that,' she said. Nadia continued: 'I really enjoyed the chats but I never thought I'd ever see this person – it was just nice to chat. I was in a good place with my mental health and I didn't want to put myself in a position where I could be hurt again.' The designer eventually met up with Peter at The Tan, a popular running route in Melbourne, and said they have been together ever since. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Nadia recently revealed marriage was currently not on the cards for the couple. 'I don't think so,' she laughed. 'You know when you've done that then you're like I don't know If I'd do that again.' 'But when you meet someone that you feel like you want to marry it's a good feeling. We are so happy. He's a good boy.' Nadia and Peter went Instagram official in December 2022. The pair confirmed their relationship by getting hot and heavy in a photo shared to Instagram Stories. Nadia told Daily Mail Australia her relationship with the former footballer-turned-model is going swimmingly. 'My love life is going well. It's good. I'm happy,' she shared. 'I think he's The One. I do think he is and I think that he's got so many amazing attributes,' Nadia added. 'He's just such a good person. I think the way he makes me feel...' After going public in late 2022, Nadia and Peter have often been seen cuddling up at exclusive events and on sweet dates around Melbourne. The loved-up couple were pictured sharing a passionate kiss in at the Australian Open in Melbourne last year. Nadia announced her split from retired AFL star Jimmy in August 2019, five years after they tied the knot on the Bellarine Peninsula. She shares her sons, Aston and Henley, with her AFL star ex-husband Jimmy Bartel, who she was married to from 2014 to 2021. While Nadia has moved on with Peter, Jimmy welcomed a child with Amelia Sheppard in April last year.
