First Look at 'Kingdom' Season 6, Ikimonogakari & Tomonari Sora Join with New Theme Songs!

"Kingdom" began serialization in 2006, the same year Ikimonogakari debuted. Just like the protagonists Xin and Zheng, the manga has grown strong and spread its wings, becoming a work known by everyone across Japan. We've always admired and been excited by the series' growth, much like watching a great general rise to power. Now, Ikimonogakari is honored to be part of this wave by performing the anime's theme song. We've created an anthem celebrating the passion of living life to the fullest, reminiscing about the conversations we had with Hara-sensei, the original author, since our debut days. Song Information "Ikite, Sansan" Performed by: Ikimonogakari (Sony Music Labels Inc.) Lyrics and Composition: Yoshiki Mizuno Arrangement: Masanori Shimada Comment from Tomonari Sora The battles in "Kingdom" are truly clashes of beliefs and convictions. To express this intensity, we recorded everything from scratch, including the sounds of armor clashing, shouts, and roars. The lyrics contain subtle references to the historical setting and the story's world. We've created a powerful song that evokes images of roars echoing and vast armies charging across the battlefield. Please experience the resonating sounds of war alongside the 6th series. I'm deeply honored to have been entrusted with the ending theme. Song Information "Hoko" Vocals: Tomonari Sora (cutting edge) Lyrics, Composition, and Arrangement: Tomonari Sora The first official trailer for the sixth season of the TV anime "Kingdom" has been released. In this new season, Xin will finally set out on his campaign, carrying Ou Ki's glaive on his back. Ou Ki, a legendary hero revered by all and a great general feared throughout China, was the one who named Xin's unit the "Hi Shin Unit." He served as a guiding figure for Xin in his quest to become a great general of the heavens. At Bayou, during his fateful battle with the "God of War" Hou Ken, Ou Ki entrusted his glaive to Xin with his dying breath, passing on his dreams and aspirations to the next generation. Eight years have passed since Ou Ki's death. Xin, who has grown as a warrior alongside many comrades through numerous life-and-death situations, now resolves to face all-out war against Zhao, wielding the glaive entrusted to him by Ou Ki. The trailer also offers a preview of the opening theme "Ikite, Sansan" by Ikimonogakari. The visuals sync with the lyrics, showing Xin leading the charge and confronting powerful opponents, carrying forward the tears and hopes of fallen comrades into the future. For further updates, please keep an eye on the official website and social media accounts. Courageous Teaser Visual Unveiled: Xin Wielding "Ou Ki's Glaive" Along with the announcement of the opening and ending themes and the first full trailer, a teaser visual has been released featuring Xin wielding the glaive entrusted to him by Ou Ki on the battlefield. The 6th series finally kicks off the war against Zhao, with Qin launching a strategy involving a coalition army led by three generals: Wang Jian (CV. Kenyu Horiuchi), Huan Yi (Kentaro Ito), and Yang Duan He (Mie Sonozaki). Moreover, the new generation of leaders - Xin (Masakazu Morita), Meng Tian (Hirofumi Nojima), and Wang Ben (Yoshimasa Hosoya) - will each command their own units as independent mobile forces, entrusted with crucial roles. Prepare to witness Xin's heroic figure as he throws himself into fierce battles, feeling the weight of the glaive bestowed upon him by the great general. Look forward to the all-out war between Qin and Zhao and see how the tides of this full-scale conflict unfold. About The Series Synopsis In ancient China, during the Warring States period, the state of Qin lies to the west. Xin, a former servant who aspires to become "Greatest General in the World," shares the same ambition as Ying Zheng, the King of Qin: to end the era of warring states through the unprecedented unification of China. Xin now serves as the commander of the "Fei Xin Unit" in the Qin army, fighting on the frontlines. Meanwhile, Ying Zheng, having reclaimed control of the state from his political rival, Minister Lü Buwei, begins to move towards establishing a new "nation ruled by law" through the unification of China. He does this with the support of his military commander, Lord Changping, and the legalist philosopher Li Si. The Qin army, planning its advance, aims to conquer the western part of the state of Zhao from their new base at Kokuyou Hills. However, their plans are thwarted by the strategy of Li Mu, Zhao's genius strategist, who had foreseen and prepared for Qin's unification efforts. In response, Lord Changping proposes a bold strategy to attack Ye, a city near Handan, the capital of Zhao. To counter Li Mu, a coalition army is formed, led by three exceptional strategists: Wang Jian, Huan Yi, and Yang Duan He. Additionally, three new-generation units join as independent mobile forces, carrying high expectations: Xin's "Fei Xin Unit," Meng Tian's "Le Hua Unit," and Wang Ben's "Yu Feng Unit." The fierce battle for Ye is about to begin!
