Israel's settlement activities in Palestine undermine two-state solution: Qatar
QNA Geneva The State of Qatar has stressed that the policies and practices adopted by the Israeli government to support expansionist settlement activities in the territory of the State of Palestine further deepen the occupation and undermine the two-state solution. The State of Qatar emphasized that the behavior of the Israeli occupation forces in the aggression against the Gaza Strip, the war of extermination it is waging, the forced displacement of Palestinians, their starvation, and the destruction of infrastructure and homes, reinforces the idea of re-settling the Strip. Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva HE Dr Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah affirmed that Israel has blatantly ignored all international resolutions related to the Palestinian issue, particularly those relating to settlements. Israel has ignored the Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016 and the Advisory Opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on July 19, 2024, which affirmed that Israel's establishment of settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law, and that all states are obligated not to recognize Israel's legal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory and not to provide it with 3

Israeli govt's support for expansionist settlement in Palestine undermines two-state solution: Qatar
QNA Geneva Qatar has stressed that the policies and practices adopted by the Israeli government to support expansionist settlement activities in the territory of the State of Palestine further deepen the occupation and undermine the two-state solution. Qatar emphasised that the behaviour of the Israeli occupation forces in the aggression against the Gaza Strip, the war of extermination it is waging, the forced displacement of Palestinians, their starvation, and the destruction of infrastructure and homes, reinforce the idea of re-settling the Strip. This came in Qatar's statement delivered by Permanent Representative of Qatar in Geneva HE Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah during her participation in the interactive dialogue with the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, Item 7, within the framework of the 59th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. She affirmed that Israel has blatantly ignored all international resolutions related to the Palestinian issue, particularly those relating to settlements, particularly Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016 and the Advisory Opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on July 19, 2024, which affirmed that Israel's establishment of settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law, and that all states are obligated not to recognise Israel's legal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory and not to provide it with assistance. She urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities by compelling Israel to halt its aggression against Gaza, allow the entry of humanitarian aid, protect the Palestinian people, ensure the restoration of all their rights, establish an independent state on the June 4, 1967, borders, provide compensation for the damages suffered by the Palestinians, and ensure accountability for all those responsible for the crimes and violations committed against them. The Qatari diplomat expressed her gratitude to UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 Francesca Albanese for her report, expressing her condemnation of the Israeli authorities' denial of her access to the occupied Palestinian territories and the attacks and pressures she has been subjected to undermine her mandate.

Qatar affirms impunity, nonaccountability encourage Israel to commit further violations, crimes against Palestinians
GENEVA: The State of Qatar has affirmed that impunity and nonaccountability have encouraged Israel to continue committing further violations and crimes against Palestinians. It called on the international community to take the necessary measures to stop these crimes, ensure accountability for those responsible, and compel Israel, the occupying power, to comply with international law and ensure the restoration of all the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, in particular the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign State of Palestine on the borders of Jun. 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This came in the State of Qatar's statement delivered by Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva HE Dr Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, during her participation in the interactive dialogue with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel, Item 2, within the framework of the 59th session of the Human Rights Council. She said that the report cited the seizure, theft, and destruction of Palestinian Islamic and Christian cultural and religious sites by the Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers, and the deliberate and unjustified targeting of educational facilities, particularly in the Gaza Strip, as well as UNRWA schools, despite being regularly informed of the coordinates of these schools and the lack of any evidence of military targets in these facilities. She said that these actions were a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law. The Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva affirmed that this racist and criminal Israeli approach aimed to genocide the Palestinian people, displace them, and deprive Palestinian children and youth of their right to education, expand the scope of Israeli settlements, and undermine the identity and existence of the Palestinian people and their historical connection to the State of Palestine. She also welcomed the members of the International Commission of Inquiry and thanked them for their efforts.

Qatar condemns Israeli attacks on Iran as gross violation of sovereignty and international law
GENEVA: The State of Qatar has reaffirmed that the attacks and assaults carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Iran represent a blatant violation of state sovereignty, a serious breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, and pose a grave threat to regional and international peace and security. Qatar also renewed its strong condemnation of these attacks. This statement was delivered by Qatar's Permanent Representative to Geneva HE Dr Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, during her participation in the interactive dialogue on the Annual Report of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Agenda Item 2, as part of the 59th session of the Human Rights Council. She emphasized that the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza resulted in heinous crimes, severe violations, death, destruction, displacement, forced starvation, and a genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people unlike anything seen in modern history. She stressed that this demands serious and effective international action to halt the aggression, protect the Palestinian people, hold all perpetrators accountable for violations and crimes committed, and ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the Jun. 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. She welcomed the positive steps Syria has taken toward national reconciliation and building a state governed by law and institutions, which reflects a clear commitment to restoring security and stability and protecting the human rights of the Syrian people. She also praised the lifting of economic sanctions on Syria, noting that this move will help the Syrian people and enable their transition toward stability and prosperity. Furthermore, she affirmed Qatar's solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people during this critical historic moment, renewing its call to end the fighting, protect civilians, and halt all violations against them. She also reiterated Qatar's appeal to the international community to intensify efforts and provide increased humanitarian support to meet the growing needs of the Sudanese people.
