Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of greetings to President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükhof Mongolia on his country's National Day. In the cable, His Majesty expressed his heartfelt sentiments and best wishes of continued success to President Ukhnaagiin to achieve further stability and prosperity for the people of his country.

JPs have been ticked off for administering the law while relaxing overseas — because they will be in another country's jurisdiction. The warning was made after 'learned individuals' were issuing warrants and overseeing cases which do not require court time while on vacation. A source said: 'We've had JPs in Speedos, bikinis and flip-flops ruling on cases via Zoom. 'It's not a good look for the judiciary. 'They've been trying to have their cake and eat it but they've now been ordered to stay in line. 'With magistrates just starting to fly off on faraway jaunts, it's a very timely reminder.' His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals issued the guidance in the latest Magistrates' Legal e-Newsletter. It states: 'Magistrates should not take part in any court work as magistrates from outside the UK or UK dependencies. 'The reason is that when abroad magistrates (and any other judges) are within the jurisdiction of another country.' His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals told The Sun that 'no laws have been broken'. King and Donald Trump will no longer hold private meeting before state visit
A private meeting between Donald Trump and the King will not take place before a full state visit, as was initially proposed in a letter of invitation from the monarch, Sky News understands. It's understood this has been accepted and appreciated by all parties. It has been suggested the complexities of both principals' diaries has meant a private meeting is not possible over the course of the summer months, and thus the formal planning for an official state visit has begun. It appears the visit is likely to take place in September, as mentioned previously by Mr Trump, but this has not been officially confirmed by Buckingham Palace. The palace has confirmed that last week the "manu regia" was hand-delivered by representatives from the UK's Washington embassy to the White House. This is the hand-signed formal invitation from the to for a second state visit. This follows the initial correspondence from His Majesty, which outlined one way in which a visit or visits might be arranged would be through an initial private meeting. Read more from Sky News: Confirmation of the dates of the state visit will follow in due course in the normal way. A palace aide said: "His Majesty has known President Trump for many years and looks forward to hosting him and the First Lady later this year." There have been reports the decision not to hold a private meeting before a state visit was going against the King's wishes but the palace continues to stress that the King has continued to act on the advice of government, and that the palace and government remain fully aligned and mutually supportive in the preparations for the visit.

A week before Trooping the Colour, excitement is mounting among royal fans. The occasion transforms the Mall as crowds line up the streets waving flags as 1400 soldiers parade alongside 200 horses and 400 musicians from Horse Guard's Parade to Buckingham Palace. Many fans treat today as a stirring preview of the majesty to come. The Colonel's Review, a dazzling full-dress rehearsal steeped in pageantry, unfolds in central London, offering a taste of the splendour that will accompany His Majesty the King's official Birthday Parade next week. In their ceremonial uniforms, the British Army's finest soldiers march with precision and pride as they rehearse for one of the most iconic events in the royal calendar. Trooping the Colour is a centuries-old tradition that marks the Sovereign's official birthday. It dates back to the 17th century and is rooted in battlefield custom, when regimental flags, or 'colours,' were trooped in front of soldiers to ensure they could be recognised amid the smoke of combat. The Coldstream Guards are part of the esteemed Household Division, which includes the two regiments of the Household Cavalry (the Life Guards and the Blues and Royals) and the five regiments of Foot Guards (the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, and Welsh Guards). Yet, today's Colonel's Review near Buckingham Palace holds a notable distinction. Unlike their fellow regiments, the Coldstream Guards currently do not have a Royal Colonel, making them the only Foot Guards regiment without a royal figurehead. Last year, following the announcement that Princess Kate was being treated for cancer, the Princess of Wales apologised for missing out on the key rehearsal. The Princess of Wales wrote a letter to the Irish Guards, who were presenting their colours to the King, saying: 'I hope I am able to represent you all very soon'. Insidersemphasised that every cancer 'journey' is individual and sought to dampen speculation over whether Kate would attend key events in order to stop unnecessary pressure. It meant the Princess missed what would have been her first Colonel's Review. The event is a dress rehearsal for Trooping The Colour and would have seen her take the salute as the new Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards. The letter said: 'I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the Colonel's Review and Trooping the Colour. 'I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practising for months and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate. 'Being your Colonel remains a great honour and I am very sorry that I'm unable to take the salute at this year's Colonel's Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole regiment, however, I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon. 'Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved.' The Irish Guards later responded to the Princess's letter on Twitter, writing: 'The Irish Guards were deeply touched to receive a letter from our Colonel, Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales this morning.

Muscat - On the advent of Eid Al Adha 1446 AH, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has exchanged cables of greetings with kings and leaders of the Arab and Islamic countries. In his cables, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sentiments and best wishes to them and the peoples of their countries. His Majesty prayed to Allah the Almighty for the return of this and similar occasions on them and on peoples of their countries, as well as all Muslims around the world with blessings and bounties. on their turn, the leaders expressed their sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people. They prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant his Majesty good health and well-being. They also prayed to the Almighty for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty at a time his people has achieved further progress and prosperity in various spheres.
