KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) communications liaison officers play a vital role in working alongside the Strategic Communications Division to deliver effective and impactful communication. The division's director, Hisyam Mohd Yusoff, said the officers are crucial intermediaries to ensure MACC's messages, delivered through mainstream and social media, are clearly understood and positively received by the public. "We hope that the appointed officers will develop their interest, showcase their talents, and contribute meaningfully to the MACC's communication efforts," he said in a statement. Earlier, Hisyam attended the closing ceremony of the Joint Management Enhancement Programme, which brought together 40 MACC liaison officers from across the country. The three-day programme, which began on July 2, focused on media management techniques and enhanced their skills in preparing news reports and feature articles. Hisyam said the division also plans to conduct writing workshops for MACC officers at the state level later this year. The programme was also guided by Malaysian National News Agency's (Bernama) Features and Current Affairs Desk assistant editor, Erda Khursyiah Basir, who shared techniques on writing effective news reports and feature articles. The training module emphasised the use of clear and concise language to ensure messages are communicated effectively. At the end of the programme, communications liaison officers shared guidelines on news writing formats and styles for internal dissemination and media publication, in line with editorial standards. – Bernama

MACC First Enforcement Agency To Step Forward As HAWANA 2025 Strategic Partner

KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is the first enforcement agency to step forward to become a strategic partner for the National Journalists Day (HAWANA) 2025, marking a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the media and public institutions. The strategic partnership was announced during the HAWANA 2025 Strategic Partners Appreciation Ceremony held at Wisma Bernama last Tuesday. Representing Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, MACC Director of Strategic Communications Hisyam Mohd Yusoff handed over a mock sponsorship cheque to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who officiated the event. Hisyam said the sponsorship reflects MACC's recognition of the media's critical role in disseminating accurate and timely information to the public. 'This strategic partnership is a gesture of support to media organisations for their contribution and collaboration in delivering important information to society. 'Insya-Allah, although this is MACC's first time as a strategic partner, it will set a benchmark for broader and deeper cooperation between the Commission and media organisations in the future,' he said in a statement. HAWANA 2025 has attracted the participation of 79 public and private entities as its strategic partners, including the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Human Resources Ministry (KESUMA), Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysian Foundation for Innovation, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, National Art Gallery, as well as MK Curtain Berhad and GM Klang. HAWANA 2025 will take place at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur from June 13 to 15, with the highlight of the celebration, to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, scheduled for June 14. More than 1,000 media practitioners, representatives of local journalist associations, and media delegates from ASEAN member states are expected to attend, bringing together the professional media fraternity and industry experts to exchange ideas and forge strategic partnerships.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has become the first enforcement agency to be named a strategic partner for the National Journalists Day (Hawana) 2025. MACC Strategic Communications Division (BKS) Director Hisyam Mohd Yusoff said the sponsorship is a sign of support to media agencies for their role in disseminating information to the nation. "Although this is the first time MACC is involved in Hawana as a strategic partner, moving forward, this marks a step towards strengthening collaboration between the commission and media agencies," Hisyam said in a statement today. Representing MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, Hisyam handed over a mock cheque worth RM31,000 to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who officiated the event on June 3. A total of 79 government and private organisations have joined as strategic partners for Hawana 2025. Among them were the Malaysia Technology Development Corporation, Federal Land Development Authority, Ministry of Human Resources, Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia Innovation Foundation, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, and the National Art Gallery. The Hawana 2025 celebration, organised by the Ministry of Communications through Bernama, will be held from June 13 to 15 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
