(Video) BLACKPINK Lisa To Appear In Netflix's Upcoming Reality Series 'Hitmakers'
Before BLACKPINK reunited to prepare for their upcoming DEADLINE tour, each member had been busy with solo projects. Lisa (리사), in addition to promoting her 'Alter Ego' album, also appeared in the third season of 'The White Lotus', playing the sweet, innocent hotel staff member, Mook. But that wasn't her only television venture, apparently. Fans were surprised to learn that the K-pop idol has also taken part in an upcoming Netflix reality series titled 'Hitmakers'. Here's what we know about the show so far: Yesterday (Wednesday, 25th June), Netflix released the official teaser for its upcoming unscripted reality music series 'Hitmakers'. The show will feature 12 of the industry's top songwriters and producers competing for the chance to create chart-topping hits for today's biggest artists. Among those featured in the trailer are John Legend, Shaboozey, and BLACKPINK's Lisa. The K-pop idol appears briefly in the teaser, seemingly video calling the contestants. The trailer quickly went viral on social media, particularly among K-pop and BLACKPINK fans, many of whom were surprised to see her involvement in the show. Some fans were excited to see her next project, praising Lisa for keeping herself booked and busy. Others, however, were puzzled by her decision to join the show, speculating that she may have minimal screen time, likely appearing only during consultation and the winner selection. It's currently unclear when the series was filmed, so there's no indication whether any of the songs composed by the contestants made it onto Lisa's 'Alter Ego' album or if they'll be saved for a future solo project. Regardless, one thing is for sure: Lisa is an artist who knows what she wants and based on previous hit releases, especially her collabs, her next solo album will likely be even better.
