Deepika Padukone has highlighted India's prominence on the world stage as the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has honoured her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the class of 2026 in the Motion Pictures category. Through her exceptional performances and contributions to the entertainment industry, Deepika Padukone has established a significant global presence. She is more than just a celebrated superstar; she is a global name who has repeatedly brought immense pride to India on international stages. The announcement, made via live stream, is particularly noteworthy as Deepika becomes the first Indian to receive this distinguished honour. She shares the class with notable artists such as Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, and Demi Moore, among many other renowned performers. It's a proud moment for India as actor Deepika Padukone has been chosen as a recipient of prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame star. On July 2, Padukone's name along with other renowned personalities from the worlds of recordings, motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance and sports entertainment, were announced at a live press conference from Ovation Hollywood. Miley Cyrus, Timothee Chalamet, Hollywood actress Emily Blunt, French actor Cotillard, Canadian star Rachel McAdams, Italian actor Franco Nero, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will also be honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. In 2017, Padukone made her Hollywood debut xXx: Return Of Xander Cage. She has also been featured in TIME's 100 most influential people list and Variety 's International Women's Impact Report. She has also made appearances at the Cannes Film Festival and Met Gala in the previous years. The honorees were selected by the Walk of Fame selection panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce from "hundreds" of nominations at a meeting on June 20. The selections were ratified by the Chamber's board of directors on June 25. "We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined on the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026," Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros. Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said in a statement. "These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honour them with this well-deserved recognition."

Though she was initially pleased with her results from Ozempic in December 2022, Sharon later admitted she feared she had taken it to far. Last November, the star said she had been off the drug for 'a while' but was still struggling with her weight. Despite feeling 'frustrated,' Sharon said she was 'satisfied' with the way she looks now. On Howie Mandel's podcast she said: 'I can't put on weight now, and I don't know what it's done to my metabolism, but I just can't seem to put any on, because I think I went too far.' In February, she told The Guardian she had lost 'three stone [42 pounds] in four months. Too much.' Sharon recently told that she hasn't regained any of the weight she lost while taking the drug and admitted that she's been left feeling 'frustrated' by the lingering effects. She said: 'Now, I weigh just over 7 stone. I need to put on 10 pounds, but however much I eat, I stay the same weight. 'I've had enough. I've given up on all interventions. I couldn't have much more facial surgery - there's not that much skin left to stretch, pull or cut. And I won't have any more fillers or Botox. 'I don't think I'll ever be happy with the way I look but I'm now satisfied. It's taken years for me to say this but I've learned my lesson. This is me. It's finally time to leave well alone.'

Christian Slater's daughters made a rare appearance as they joined him in Hollywood to support him at his Walk of Fame ceremony. The 55-year-old actor was honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard and had his wife Brittany Lopez as well as his daughters by his side for the special occasion. He was also joined by Sarah Michelle Gellar, his co-star in the Dexter: Original Sin spinoff, as well as his Mr. Robot castmate Carly Chaikin for the event. The Blink Twice star shares two children, daughter Lena and a baby boy who will celebrate his first birthday in July, with his wife, 35. He also shares two adult children, son Jaden, 25, and daughter Eliana, 23, with his ex-wife Ryan Haddon. His daughters Eliana and Lena were at his side when his star was unveiled and posed for sweet family photos together. While celebrating the major milestone, he gushed about his family in his acceptance speech. 'I have amazing and wonderful children. I can't imagine my life without them. They are the greatest,' he said. He gushed about his wife and having his kids' support. 'Having a star on Hollywood Boulevard is great, but none of this would have been possible without my family and the love I have today.' He previously spoke about the full circle moment since he used to skate on Hollywood Boulevard as a teenager. When he was age 16, he trained with professional skateboarder Stacy Peralta for the 1989 Gleaming the Cube. It was the beginning of his career when Peralta shared advice he still remembers today. 'He told me the smoothest area to learn to skateboard is the Walk of Fame,' he said. 'There's not a lot of cracks or breaks between the cement because they're always pouring it in for ceremonies. It's one nice, even, flowy ride.' When Variety suggested he could make his grand arrival at the ceremony on a skateboard, he quipped: 'I'm out of practice, but maybe I could try and gleam my way into the ceremony.' Back in August 2024, he spoke to People about experiencing fatherhood again at this stage in his life. Just before he welcomed his youngest child last year, he reflected on raising young children in his 50s. 'The whole thing is different. I'm certainly a lot more present and I just love it,' he said. 'I think I was more scared of it the first go around and a little bit more confused, and I was very distracted,' he continued. 'And now, it's all I really think about, and all I really care about, and all I want to be around. I'm happy to be in that situation.' Slater rose to fame in cult classic films like Heathers and Pump Up the Volume. He also starred in box office hits such as Interview With the Vampire and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves that made him a silver screen star. In his early career, he was a teen heartthrob and he went on to become a leading man after starring in True Romance and Untamed Heart.
