Person killed in shooting outside Target store in the Polaris area
Columbus police are investigating after one person was fatally shot outside a Target store in the Polaris area. Police received a call reporting that a person had been shot at around 6:10 p.m. on July 9 at the Target store located at 1485 Polaris Parkway, according to a police dispatcher. Responding officers found a victim inside a black sedan suffering from at least one gunshot wound. They were later pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 6:19 p.m., the dispatcher said. Homicide Unit detectives have been called to scene, where at least one shell casing was recovered and window glass was found at the scene. No information about suspects was immediately available. 2 women injured in Penn Hills shooting
Two women were injured in a shooting in Penn Hills on Sunday night. Allegheny County Police say dispatchers were notified of shooting along Frankstown Road near the intersection with McCutcheon Lane around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police say when first responders arrived at the scene, they found two women who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital. Allegheny County Police say two women were injured in a late-night shooting along Frankstown Road in Penn Hills. KDKA Photojournalist Damian Catanza One woman was last listed in critical condition and the other was last listed in stable condition, police said. Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit are leading the investigation into the double shooting. Juvenile killed in July 4 mass shooting at house party identified by Columbus police
Columbus police have identified the juvenile killed in a July 4 shooting at a party at a short-term rental place on the city's Southeast Side. Cameron Moore, 17, was among six people shot at a party at the 800 block of Wilson Avenue in the early hours of Independence Day, police said. Moore was transported by medics in critical condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Downtown, where he later died at 3:09 a.m. More: Juvenile dead, 5 wounded in mass shooting at house party on Columbus' Southeast Side Police are still investigating the shooting and have released no further details about suspects, though a security guard hired to screen people for the event told a local TV station that everyone entering was screened for weapons except a group of people the party thrower allowed to enter without screening. Man dead after stabbing near Toronto's Woodbine Park

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Cole Burston A man has died following a late-night stabbing near Toronto's Woodbine Park, police say. In a post to social media, officials say officers responded to reports of a stabbing at around 10:10 p.m. in the Eastern Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area. When they arrived, police say they located a male victim at the scene with injuries. He was then transported to hospital via emergency run, where he was later pronounced dead. Toronto police say their Homicide Unit has been notified and that an investigation is ongoing. No suspect information has been released.

Suspect arrested following discovery of dead body on Hayden Island
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A suspect was arrested after the discovery of a dead man on Hayden Island, Portland police announced Friday morning. According to PPB, officers responded to reports of a dead body on the west end of Hayden Island Thursday morning. Following an investigation by the PPB Homicide Unit, authorities said they arrested Timothy Hudson, 68, on charges including second-degree murder and second-degree assault.
