What Are The 10 Most Iconic MLB Stadiums?
Scenery is part of baseball, and there are countless MLB ballparks that provide plenty of it. Some of those stadiums have been around for a century, while some were founded not too long ago. Nevertheless, there are historic MLB stadiums from coast to coast. Which ones are the best? FOX Sports Research compiled the list of the 10 most iconic MLB stadiums. 10 Most Iconic MLB Stadiums 10. Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) After 33 years in Veterans Stadium, the Phillies found a new home in Citizens Bank Park in 2004. Looking at the outfield, one can see the Philadelphia skyline in the distance, while the stadium's primary scoreboard is located high down the left-field line. Located in southeastern Philadelphia, the Phillies share an extended parking lot with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's Philadelphia Flyers. 9. Coors Field (Rockies) Coors Field — located in Denver a mile above sea level — provides fans with an amazing sunset for every night game. Coors Field has an open feel to it, with long balls flying out of the park left and right. Fans can see the Rocky Mountain scenery beyond the outfield concourse. A distinct element to the ballpark is the center-field seats, which are located well above and away from the field of play. 8. Petco Park (Padres) Petco Park, another relatively new ballpark, was put into use in 2004 and provides a sharp view of San Diego. Located off Harbor Drive adjacent to the San Diego Bay, the field of play in Petco Park faces the northern part of the city. There are buildings galore in the outfield distance with the primary scoreboard located above the left-field seats. Behind the right-center field seats resides the statue of Hall of Famer and Padres legend Tony Gwynn. 7. Yankee Stadium (Yankees) A de facto replica of the original Yankee Stadium, the new House — which debuted in 2009, the last year that the Yankees won the World Series — has many of the same features as the original, including the frieze on top and the famed Monument Park in center field, displaying plaques of the countless legends in franchise history. Behind right-center field is the 161st Street Subway Station, with running trains visible through the gap in the seats. 6. PNC Park (Pirates) Located on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh, the Pirates have an aesthetically pleasing home stadium. The yellow Roberto Clemente Bridge is behind the right-center field seats in PNC Park, named after the Pirates Hall of Famer. Fans can walk over that bridge to get to the ballpark, which debuted in 2001. On the other side of the bridge is downtown Pittsburgh. In front of the park lies the Honus Wagner statue, while Clemente and Willie Stargell statues are grounded behind center field. 5. Oracle Park (Giants) Located right on the water on the east side of San Francisco, Oracle Park has a breathtaking view of the SF Bay behind the outfield. The featured part of the stadium is "McCovey Cove," named after Giants Hall of Famer Willie McCovey, is located beyond the right field wall with a skinny walkway in front of the bay, where fans in kayaks pounce on any "Splash Hit" home runs that reach the water. 4. Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Orioles) Perhaps the most famous warehouse resides in Baltimore, as the orange B&O Warehouse located behind right field is used by the organization. In front of it lies Eutaw Street, a walkway for fans. As for the field of play, a large right-field wall is a featured part of Camden Yards. Once deemed a short left-field porch, the majority of the left-field wall was pushed back for the 2022 season (and then brought back in for 2025). Debuting in 1992, Oriole Park at Camden Yards is located directly off Interstate 95 and shares a parking lot with M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens. 3. Dodger Stadium (Dodgers) After spending their first four Los Angeles seasons in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Dodgers — who moved to L.A. from Brooklyn for the 1958 season — moved to Dodger Stadium in 1962 and have been there ever since. Besides some tweaks here and there, it has been the same stadium since its 1962 debut: high lights above the stadium, the Hollywood Hills in the distance and yellow seats at the lower level. The standalone park is an MLB wonder. 2. Wrigley Field (Cubs) Wrigley Field has a timeless, unique look. Located in the northern half of Chicago, Wrigley Field has been the Cubs' home since 1914 and has a distinct green appearance about it, highlighted by the ivy that wraps around the entire outfield, the green poles on the outside of the park and overall green seating. Fans can catch a game from a rooftop outside the stadium behind the outfield. 1. Fenway Park (Red Sox) When a player hits a home run over Fenway's Green Monster or out of the stadium, it's an epic experience for fans. The menacing wall in left field is the signature part of Fenway Park, while the abrupt Pesky's Pole down the right-field wall and overall field dimensions also make the stadium a unique venue. The Red Sox have called Fenway Park home since 1912, and it remains the oldest active stadium in the league. Honorable mentions: Citi Field ( Mets ) T-Mobile Park ( Mariners ) Busch Stadium ( Cardinals ) Great American Ball Park ( Reds ) Daikin Park ( Astros ) Angel Stadium ( Angels ) Rogers Centre (Blue Jays) Check out all of our Daily Rankers . Rare 1909 Honus Wagner Card Could Break Records At Auction
The T206 Honus Wagner card issued but recalled by the American Tobacco Company in 1909 is worth ... More millions because of its scarcity. (AP Photo/Kathy Willens, File) A rare Honus Wagner card has a chance to break its former record as the most expensive ever printed. So says Ken Goldin, founder and CEO of the Goldin auction house that is now conducting an online auction featuring one of few surviving T206 Wagner cards from a 1909 American Tobacco Company set. 'This card, along with our expert curation of storied vintage collectibles, is one of the most significant sports collectibles to ever hit the auction block,' Goldin said. It is also one of the most valuable – especially because this is the first time in more than three years that a numerically-graded T206 Wagner is appearing in public auction. Starting point for the bidding began at $3 million. The price of the Wagner T206, which originally cost a few pennies, was listed at $50 in a 1933 edition of The American Card Catalog by pioneering hobbyist Jefferson Burdick. An off-center version was once owned by hockey great Wayne Gretzky, who teamed with Bruce McNall to buy it for $451,000 in 1991, while Arizona Diamondbacks owner Ken Kendrick bought one in 2011 for $2.8 million. When a T206 Wagner went for $7.25 million on Aug. 4, 2022, it became the most expensive piece of cardboard gold ever sold – until a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card in mint condition brought $12.6 million just weeks later, on Aug. 28, 2022, to recapture the top of the memorabilia list. A mint Mickey Mantle issued by Topps in 1952 brought a card-record $12.6 million at auction in 2022. ... More (AP Photo/David Zalubowski) Then a Babe Ruth jersey believed to be worn when he 'called his shot' before a home run for the Yankees in the 1932 World Series brought $24.1 million at an auction held in August 2024. None of those pieces is as old – or as scarce – as the T206 Wagner. Originally produced as part of a trading card set by American Tobacco, the card became valuable after it became scarce – the result of Wagner's wrath at the tobacco company because he abhorred using his image to promote smoking among minors who might see it. With more than a century since publication and multiple owners involved, there are no T206 Wagners in mint condition, Goldin said. But he noted that this one is close. The version at auction today is graded PSA PR-FR 1 because of its rich color and clear, well-centered portrait. Only 60 such Wagner cards are believed to exist, he said. Dubbed 'the Connecticut Wagner' because it first surfaced at a Connecticut show in 1985, the card did not reappear until it went on display at a Detroit Institute of the Arts show in 2010. Widely considered 'the Holy Grail' of sports cards, the T206 has never experienced a market value correction. Sold for $282,000 in 2010, the last public sale of a PSA 1 Wagner 12 years later earned $3,137,000, an increase of an astronomical 1,012%. During that same time span, the Dow Jones increased by 246%, the S & P by 307% , and the NASDAQ by 586%. Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner of the Pittsburgh Pirates was one of five players in the charter ... More election class of the Baseball Hall of Fame. (Photo by) Goldin, who launched his firm in 2012, has sold more than $2 billion in pop culture products ranging from bats, balls, and baseball cards to game-used jackets, jerseys, and caps. His company has surpassed $1 billion in sales of products placed into auction. The firm, which has an international reputation for selling high-end sports and entertainment memorabilia, is the official auction partner of the Major League Baseball Players Association, Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. It has more than 100 employees and is based in Runnemede, NJ. When time permits, the 59-year-old Goldin roots for the closest major-league team, the Philadelphia Phillies. Goldin's Spring Vintage Elite Auction, one of the major events on its annual auction calendar, opened May 28 and runs through June 9. .

VeeFriends, Bowman Baseball Highlight Big Week in Card Releases
A soughtafter baseball card once coowned by hockey great Wayne Gretzky has been purchased by a Southern California collector for a recordsetting $2.35 million. The famous 1909 Honus Wagner tobacco card, considered the "Holy Grail" of baseball cards, was shown at Dodger Stadium by part owners of the card from SCP Auctions on 02/27/2007. Here David Kohler of SCP Auctions holds card inside it's plastic container. (Photo by Bob Chamberlin/Los Angeles Times via Getty Images) Hey Collectors, On Monday night our friends at Wheelhouse hosted an event here in LA, and the crew from Goldin came packing heat! Among the items they had on display? A signed check from Abe Lincoln, a pair of game-used Reebok Pumps worn by Shaq, a copy of Superman #1 and a T206 Honus Wagner . Museum pieces, all of them. Advertisement I don't have T206-level money, and security was watching me like a hawk, so I guess I'm going to have to keep ripping packs, hoping to hit something big the old fashioned way. Good thing there were a few big card releases just yesterday… Yesterday Topps Chrome VeeFriends, created by Gary Vaynerchuk, hit shelves (and sold out within minutes). The set is headlined by the ultra-rare ERUPT! cards. With odds as steep as 1 in 3,000 hobby packs—and 1 in 9,000 for blasters—these chase cards are among the rarest in the set, featuring high-end parallels like Black Lava (/10) and Superfractor 1/1s. The launch marks a major step in VeeFriends' evolution from digital NFT to tangible collectible, blending scarcity, storytelling, and artistic impact, and with Hobby Boxes selling for 2x retail, early interest is as strong as Alpha Alligator . Also releasing yesterday? 2025 Bowman Baseball, and this year Topps included a new element, with the Red Rookie program. These special cards, marked with a red RC logo, unlock prizes if the featured player wins a major award—like Rookie of the Year—or eventually reaches the Hall of Fame. It's a long game, but there's real short-term upside. Using data compiled by Max Arterburn from Prospects Live , Mike Metzler narrowed the 30-player checklist to just four with real ROY potential in 2025: Jackson Jobe, Jacob Wilson, Roki Sasaki, and Dylan Crews. Pull a Red RC of the player who wins this year's ROY, and you'll be in line for $100 from Topps. A $1,000 prize can be yours if the player ends up in the Hall, but you'll have to wait a while to cash in. Caitlin Clark's cultural and collectible dominance continues into 2025, with the return of her Crunch Time cereal to all Hy-Vee locations across the Midwest. Originally launched in Iowa in 2024 and flipped for five times retail on eBay, the limited-edition cereal still commands $20–$30 per box on the secondary market. With all of Clark's proceeds going to her foundation, the product exemplifies the blend of star power, scarcity, and social impact driving her market appeal. However, for all of the posts and stories we read about this cereal, not ONE mentioned how Crunch Time tastes… Following a record-breaking 2024 season (led, in part, by Crunch Time Cereal's Caitlin Clark), the WNBA's 2025 rookie class enters a booming collectibles market fueled by rising viewership, historic attendance, and increased demand for women's sports cards. Headlined by No. 1 pick Paige Bueckers—whose Bowman 1st PSA 10s are already surging—this class includes international standout Dominique Malonga, high-scoring forward Kiki Iriafen, versatile guard Sonia Citron, and media-savvy Hailey Van Lith. With the WNBA preseason now underway, we'll start seeing which of these rookies will dominate on the court and in the card market. For the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, Formula One swapped its usual driver parade truck for full-size, drivable F1 cars made entirely out of Lego bricks — a first-of-its-kind spectacle born from F1's growing partnership with Lego. Each of the 10 life-size cars required around 400,000 bricks and was constructed over three weeks at Lego's 'big builds' factory in the Czech Republic, complete with electric powertrains, hydraulic brakes, and custom steering systems. Designed to carry two drivers, the cars, of course, also featured fully accurate team liveries and sponsor details. Can't forget that Visa logo! Your collection deserves a community. NBA Cards Coming to Topps this Fall, Lewis Hamilton Exclusive with Fanatics
Hey Collectors, The sports card industry came together earlier this week in Atlanta for the 2025 Topps Industry Conference, and the team at Topps made a bunch of news, including the announcement that they'll take over the NBA license starting in October . Advertisement The next major event on the sports card calendar? Fanatics Fest, which is returning to NYC June 16th-23rd. The Mantel team will be there, and we just announced we'll be partnering with Bleecker Trading on events, giveaways, content and more, so stay tuned for some exciting updates . As tariffs raise the cost of imported goods, investors are turning to domestic alternatives — notably, trading cards, per an op-ed from Alt CEO Leore Avidar and Alt (and Mantel) investor, Alexis Ohanian. Once dismissed as mere hobbies, Pokémon and sports collectibles are now recognized as viable financial assets, with a $15B market value and growing credibility. The market's rise is fueled by nostalgia, savvy data-driven investing, and a desire for assets immune to global supply chain volatility. Alt has filed a lawsuit against former auction house PWCC (now owned by Fanatics), alleging fraud and breach of auctioneer duties. The lawsuit claims PWCC orchestrated a widespread shill bidding scheme to artificially inflate auction prices for high-value sports cards. Alt estimates its losses at $13.7M due to PWCC's actions, though PWCC called the lawsuit baseless and lacking evidence. This lawsuit follows a previous eBay suspension of PWCC for shill bidding in 2021, and concerns auctions involving high-profile cards like Patrick Mahomes' and Kobe Bryant's rookie cards. Lewis Hamilton officially opens the brand-new flagship Fanatics Collectibles store on Regent Street in London. Picture date: Friday April 25, 2025. (Photo by Bradley Collyer/PA Images via Getty Images) (Bradley Collyer - PA Images via Getty Images) Lewis Hamilton has signed a multi-year trading card and memorabilia partnership with Fanatics Collectibles. The deal includes autograph exclusivity and will feature premium items like 'relic' cards containing race-worn gear. Hamilton helped launch Fanatics' new flagship store in London last week, and shared that he owns around 400 race-worn helmets. With F1's existing Topps deal, this partnership positions Hamilton as a high-end draw — fitting, given that one of his 2020 Topps cards sold for a record $900K, the most ever for an F1 card. A restored T206 Honus Wagner card sold for $1.98M at Mile High Card Company—just $12K more than its 2023 sale, sparking concern in the hobby. While technically not a loss, its Compound Annual Growth Rate dropped to just 0.37%, a stark contrast to the 17–50% CAGR of other recent Wagner sales. Some speculate the market is cooling or that the sale timing (with another, better-condition Wagner set to hit the market) diluted demand. While one sale doesn't confirm a trend, this result challenges the long-held belief that Wagners are bulletproof investments. Nike's latest release, the Air Force 1 'Dirty Triple White,' blends two sneaker culture factions—those who want a fresh pair at all times and those who prefer a worn-in look. This version comes pre-distressed, with a sheer layer over the shoe that wears away over time to reveal a clean AF1. The shoe also features a unique 'toothproof' attachment, allowing wearers to start the process of un-distressing immediately. The shoe will be released on the SNKRS app next week for $130.
