From vintage-inspired aesthetics to the charm of worn-in character, 'each detail celebrates the enduring relationship between craftsmanship and wearability,' the company said. John Florsheim, president and chief operating officer of Weyco Group Incorporated, said in a statement that he is excited to place some of Horween's leathers 'front and center' in the brand's 'most loved' designs. 'At Florsheim, we have stayed committed to creating high-quality shoes that not only look great but also stand the test of time,' Florsheim said. 'When working with Horween's leather you can tell the feel, the durability, and how it will develop character over time is superb. Horween's leathers bring an integrity to our designs that resonates with the Florsheim legacy and aligns with what today's customer is looking for.' Arnold 'Skip' Horween, president of Horween Leather Company, added that there is a 'real sense of pride' to see his company's leather in this new collection. 'For us, it's more than just providing a material; it's about seeing our craftsmanship meet Florsheim's heritage and creating something special together,' Horween noted. 'We pour so much into the manufacturing process, focusing on quality and character, and to see that translated into a shoe that people will wear and enjoy means so much to us here at Horween.' The Florsheim's Horween capsule collection, which retails between $195 and $225, will launch exclusively on Florsheim's website on Monday, August 11. In May, Weyco Group reported a dip in sales in the first quarter of 2025 as the company faced geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties, citing 'evolving U.S. trade policies, recession concerns, and market volatility.' Considering the challenging environment, in light of reduced consumer discretionary spending and cautious retailer inventory management, Weyco noted in the period that Florsheim's first quarter performance was 'particularly strong.' The brand continues to gain market share with 'robust sales' across a range of categories including hybrid 'refined casual' footwear, which it views as a significant growth opportunity in the future, Weyco noted. Overall, consolidated net sales at Weyco in Q1 2025 were $68.0 million, down 5 percent compared to net sales of $71.6 million in the first quarter of 2024. First quarter net earnings were $5.5 million, or 57 cents per diluted share, in 2025, versus $6.7 million, or 69 cents per diluted share, in 2024. Nomad's New iPhone Wallet Has Find My And MagSafe Built In
If you don't know it, Nomad is a Californian accessory maker that makes cases, stands, chargers and more. Horween leather is a specialty of the brand. It's just released its latest iPhone accessory: a wallet that snaps on to the back of any MagSafe-compatible iPhone and has Find My built in. Nomad Leather Mag Wallet The case can hold up to four credit cards with a cut-out at the base so you can slide them out. It is made of the company's favored vegetable-tanned Horween leather and comes in two colors, black and brown. Both will gain individual patinas over time. The fact that it snaps to the back of the iPhone means you'll know where it is, but when you remove it, to recharge the iPhone on a MagSafe charger, for instance, you needn't worry about it going astray. It has Find My built in, so it's almost like having an AirTag in your wallet, only much flatter, obviously. It doesn't have the precision finding of Apple's own AirTag, but you can locate it in the Find My app. Nomad Leather Mag Wallet As you may know, this works so that once the wallet is put into Lost mode, it sends out a silent signal to any passing Apple device, which quietly lets you know where the wallet has been seen. It can also play a sound, so you can confirm it really did slip down the back of the couch, and additionally you can set the wallet to send you a notification when it's been left behind. The wallet has a battery inside it but Nomad has not only chosen a rechargeable battery, but one that can be charged just like the iPhone, from a MagSafe or Qi wireless charger. Nomad says the battery lasts around five months between charges. It will connect to the back of the iPhone using MagSafe, or through a MagSafe-capable case (one of those on the iPhone 16e will give compatibility here as the 16e doesn't have MagSafe built-in). Nomad would point out that it teams perfectly with one of its own Horween leather cases, though any suitable case will work. Note that Nomad's products often sell very fast: although it's only been on sale for a matter of hours, brown is already sold out, though it will doubtless return. The Leather Mag Wallet costs $79 from

Nomad's minimalist MagSafe wallet has a tracking card built in
Nomad already sells a line of leather wallets that can be bundled with the company's Apple-compatible Tracking Card, allowing them to be located if misplaced. The company's new Leather Mag Wallet is its first to instead feature the tracker's electronics built right in, so you don't need to sacrifice a card slot in order to be able to find it. The Nomad Tracking Card is already one of the thinnest trackers on the market at 1.7mm thick, but the company further slimmed it down by ditching the card's outer shell and integrating all of its electronics into the new Leather Mag Wallet's internal polycarbonate frame. So the wallet, which is now available for $80 and made from either black or rustic brown Horween leather, is just 9mm thick with its battery. The functionality of the Leather Mag Wallet remains the same as Nomad's Tracking Card, with up to five months of battery life that can be extended using any Qi or MagSafe wireless charger. The wallet is compatible with Apple's Find My network, and while it has a range of up to 150 feet, it doesn't support the ultra wideband (UWB) technology found in AirTags, so you'll have to rely on triggering an audible alarm to pinpoint its exact location when it's nearby. The wallet can hold up to four cards in its single pocket, which uses an internal spring mechanism to hold them securely, even if you're only carrying one card. It's also MagSafe compatible, so you can stick it to the back of your iPhone or other smartphones that support magnetic wireless chargers, giving you an extra layer of security if you're better at not losing your phone than your wallet.
