After his withdrawal in Connecticut, Hovland headed home to Norway for a break and to play in his best friend Kevin Wright's tournament, the Wright Invitational at Kragerø Golf & Resort, on June 28.
It seems that the break gave the former Oklahoma State Cowboy a reset ahead of the last major, the Open at Royal Portrush, in a couple of weeks.
Hovland may not be in Silvis, Illinois, for the John Deere Classic, but he did steal the attention with his boys' trip to Spain.
