Justin Bieber coughs up millions to Scooter Braun after financial dispute — but the singer still scored a win: report

Justin Bieber has settled his financial dispute with Scooter Braun and the result is costing the singer a pretty penny. The 'Sorry' singer and his former manager reached a settlement agreement on Thursday that calls for Bieber to cough up millions in owed funds to Braun's Hybe company, per TMZ. Reps for Bieber and Braun did not immediately respond to Page Six's requests for comment. As we previously reported in May, an independent audit conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) revealed that Bieber owed Braun more than $8,806,000. At the time, a source exclusively told us the money owed came from a loan Braun made to Bieber over debt accrued due to his canceled 2022 'Justice' tour. 'He stepped in to help him,' the insider shared. Bieber's last minute cancellation of his tour reportedly hurt his pockets. After he accepted a $40 million advance from AEG (the company backing the tour) and backed out, the company asked him to repay them $26 million of the money that was already loaned to him. That's when Braun stepped in and paid Bieber's $26 million debt to AEG through his Hybe company. According to the terms of their settlement agreement reported by TMZ, Bieber was asked to pay back the $26 million owed. Braun will also be repaid half of the $11 million that he alleged Bieber owed for various unpaid commissions over the years. Bieber's growing debt seems to have coincided with recent reports of him experiencing a list of financial woes. Bieber — who has an estimated net worth of $300 million — sold his music catalog for $200 million in 2022. In May, it was reported in a TMZ Investigates documentary 'What Happened to Justin Bieber?' that the singer was forced to sell his catalogue because he was on the verge of 'financial collapse.' 'Justin said, 'I gotta sell it now.' And he sold it in December. That's how broke he was,' said TMZ executive producer Harvey Levin in the documentary. It also appears likely that the debt played a role in his distant relationship with Braun — who, at one point, shared a close relationship working with the singer for 15 years. Last month, Braun revealed his relationship with Bieber, 31, is currently not 'the same as it was.' 'I think there comes a point where I understand he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it,' the 43-year-old said. 'I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world you can do it on your own,' Braun continued. 'And I completely respect that. 'I think at this point, that's what he's doing,' he added. 'Myself and everyone from the old team is rooting for him.' Scooter Braun praises Justin Bieber's new album after pop star pays him back millions: ‘He poured his soul'

Scooter Braun heaped praise on Justin Bieber's new 'Swag' album after he reached a multimillion-dollar financial agreement with the pop star — calling it 'the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date.' 'It's beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matters,' Bieber's former manager gushed via Instagram Stories Saturday. Noting that he had the 'privilege of witnessing' the singer's 'growth' for nearly two decades, Braun then wrote that 'there comes a time when an artist fully steps into their own — and that's what he's done here.' 'He poured his soul into this project, and you can feel it in every single run,' Bieber's former mentor continued. The record exec added, 'I've played no role in this one, but as someone who's always believed in him, I'm incredibly proud and impressed and genuinely enjoying the music.' Braun singled out 'Daisies' as his favorite track on the album — which was released Friday — and urged his followers to 'stream Swag and support an authentic voice.' The effusive praise comes after Bieber and Braun settled a weighty financial dispute earlier this week. Bieber previously accepted a $40 million advance from tour-backing company AEG. However, after he cancelled on his 2022 'Justice' tour at the last minute, the company requested the pop star pay back the money that had already been loaned to him. Braun reportedly took care of the debt through his Hybe company, and the singer reportedly agreed to pay him back. People reported that prior to the agreement this week, Bieber only made one payment to Braun and still owed him $26 million. 'He stepped in to help him,' the source told us at the time. In addition to the $26 million debt, Bieber also owed Braun another $5.5 million in unpaid commissions from when they worked together, sources told TMZ Thursday. With his financial affairs in order, Bieber immediately dropped his seventh studio album, 'Swag,' via Def Jam Recordings on Friday. Some of the tracks on the long-awaited album seemingly confirm trouble in his marriage to Hailey Bieber, with whom he shares infant son Jack Blues. In Braun's favorite 'Daisies,' the pop phenomenon reflects on 'throwin' petals like, 'Do you love me or not?'' 'Head is spinnin', and it don't know when to stop / You said 'Forever,' babe, did you mean it or not? / And if it ain't right, babe, you know I respect it / But if you need time, just take your time,' Justin sings. 'Honey, I get it, I get it, I get it.' Solve the daily Crossword

Enhypen's Bangkok fan events draw praise from former Thai culture minister

Hybe's immersive promotions win fans and official recognition during stadium tour stop Bangkok transformed into a vibrant celebration of Enhypen, as the K-pop group brought its world tour to Thailand last month and earned official praise from the country's leading cultural office. Enhypen is managed by Belift Lab, a subsidiary of Hybe, which has rolled out a series of fan-focused events across Bangkok tied to the 'Walk the Line' tour. These initiatives infused Enhypen's branding into local cultural promotions, offering fans more than just a concert — they created an immersive citywide experience. Enhypen's fan engagement programs in Bangkok will continue through the end of July. The events received high praise from Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, who served as Thailand's Minister of Culture until last month. In an official commendation, she lauded Hybe and Enhypen for raising global awareness of Thai culture. 'The promotional designs creatively combined traditional Thai architecture with modern urban identity to express 'Thainess' in a fresh and engaging way,' she said. 'This event holds significant cultural, entertainment and economic value, and deserves recognition.' She also emphasized the broader impact of hosting internationally renowned Korean artists. 'Hosting such stars offers unforgettable experiences for both fans and the Thai public. I deeply appreciate this visionary effort to enhance the country's image and build lasting international goodwill,' she added. The campaign offered several standout highlights. Limited-edition transit cards bearing the members' portraits sold out instantly, and photo booths in city centers drew constant attention. Oversized outdoor ads — including banners near Suvarnabhumi International Airport — reinforced Enhypen's presence throughout the capital. A specially themed hotel room package sold out just three minutes after launch. Meanwhile, six Thai food and beverage brands across 116 outlets introduced Enhypen-branded menu items, selling approximately 40,000 units. One of the most popular collaborations featured Butterbear, a beloved local character dressed in Enhypen's tour outfits. The illustrations appeared on packaging, stickers and postcards, creatively weaving K-pop imagery into daily life. Meanwhile, Enhypen drew around 30,000 fans to the Rajamangala National Stadium, June 21, Thailand's largest concert venue. After performing at Tokyo Dome in July, the group heads to Osaka next month. 'Walk the Line' world tour will then visit 10 cities across the United States and Europe in August and September, before concluding with a stop in Singapore in October.
