2026 Bentley Continental GT Drive: Not-So-Junior Varsity

UPDATE 6/25/25: This review has been updated with the correct model year for the core and Azure variants. Last year, Bentley launched the Continental GT's new varsity lineup, the Speed and Mulliner trims. Both took the field with the brand's Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain co-developed with Porsche, pairing a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 and an electric motor to produce 771 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. The Speed variant focuses on the dynamic angle, while the Mulliner's MO is superluxurious touches to continue as the Conti GT's flagship. Now, it's time for the junior-varsity lineup, a familiar duo of trims with similar divisions of labor: the core (don't say "base"!) Continental GT takes the entry-level position, and the Continental GT Azure matches the core stats while expanding the luxury component. View Exterior Photos Bentley A High Performance Hybrid powertrain, mechanically identical to the Ultra variant in the bigger brothers, has a slightly lower output. Instead of the twin-turbo V-8 making the 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of the varsity cars, the engine in the JV duo produces 512 horses and 568 pound-feet. E-assistance comes from the same 188-hp electric motor packaged inside the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission case, hooked up to a 22-kWh battery pack. Total output comes to 671 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque. The tradeoff, however, is that the new models gain several hundred pounds of mass over their predecessors, with estimated curb weights coming in around 5400 pounds for the GT and 5800 pounds for the GTC convertible. View Exterior Photos Bentley To delineate the core and Azure models from a distance, look for an Azure badge on the fender and other bright plumage on the luxury trim. The core favors the understated, its black matrix grille framed by a chrome surround and cut by a single chrome center vertical bar above black lower intakes. The Azure's grille adds brightwork with 11 vertical chrome bars and chrome-covered lower intakes. The JV luxury trim also sits on an exclusive 22-inch wheel in silver and bright machined metal; like the core model, it can be optioned with the Mulliner's animated welcome lamps. Every Bentley cabin is a paean to leather and self-care, even that of a core Continental GT. The self-care bit is where the Azure, as apprentice to the top-spec Mulliner, asserts itself. Open pore crown-cut walnut trim veneers and 3-D quilting on the doors come standard, but there are some supremely snazzy pinstriped veneers on the options sheet and a "secret" options menu filled with every wish your bank account can support. Other standard equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats with massage, plus the Touring, Comfort, and Mood Lighting packages. Touring is the real relaxer, adding a handful of driver assistance aids including adaptive cruise control, night vision, and a head-up display. Our first drive took place in a quaint Montana town, chaperoned by wary resort security and side-eyeing locals who had the sheriff on speed dial. We need to get the new coupe back to our Michigan test track to know for certain, but initial impressions are that relaxed indulgence is the best way to approach a drive in the new Continental GT. Inputs and responses are fine, and electric motoring in a car already known for in-car hush is the Luxardo maraschino cherry atop the Conti GT sundae. Given that we recorded a 2.8-second 60-mph time in the more powerful GT Speed, we estimate the core powertrain should make for sprints in the low- to mid-three-second range. View Interior Photos Bentley Handling helpers include new twin-valve dampers paired with dual-chamber air springs, an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, and rear-axle steering—the same stuff the varsity team gets. Problem is—same as on the more powerful cars—the power and chassis tech are kneecapped through turns by 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Elect summer tires that prioritize low rolling resistance over outright grip. This is the first Continental GT that's squealed its tires well below our threshold of fear. What gives? Bentley created a new automotive outpost with the GT in 2003. At the time, it was an insanely high-powered grand tourer whose manor-like English luxury didn't compromise what we called "impressively high" handling limits. Two decades later, when we shook down the 2022 GT Speed at Lightning Lap, we called it "a gentleman's racer" and wrote, "There might be cars that beat the Bentley Continental GT Speed's lap time, but nothing that turns a faster lap is as decadent or luxurious." On our exhaustive Lightning Lap leaderboard, the 2022 GT Speed lodged itself between a 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus and a 2024 Nissan Z Nismo. View Interior Photos Bentley More recently, we discovered that the new and more powerful 2025 GT Speed took 4.5 seconds longer to complete the 4.1-mile lap of Virginia International Raceway's Grand Course, a bit of backsliding we put down to those Pirellis. The 2025 Speed hit the leaderboard between a 2022 BMW M240i xDrive and a 2006 Ford GT, almost a second behind a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Bentley seems to be leaning into the notion of adding more power and more frugality, with handling squeezed to the fringes of the graph. If this speaks to you, another upshot with the new car is 39 miles of EPA-estimated all-electric range. View Exterior Photos Bentley Taken as it comes off the showroom floor, the new Continental GT V-8 fulfills its name more strictly than ever before. Focus on both the grand and the touring, and live deliciously in the wellness and self-care. Or you could try and unlock some of the magic from the good old days with a stickier set of rubber from your local tire shop. 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview Hyundai's compact Tucson crossover is handsome no matter which powertrain you choose, but the hybrid and plug-in-hybrid versions offer some pretty swell advantages. For starters, they're more powerful than their gas-only counterpart (which we review separately), giving them an accelerative advantage, and they use less fuel to boot. The Tucson Hybrid maxes out at 38 mpg across the board, while the Tucson PHEV manages 77 MPGe and can travel 33 miles on battery power alone. The rest of the package is similar to what you get with the standard-issue model, including an attractive warranty, decent cargo space, and a tech-forward interior with plenty of screen real estate. What's New for 2026? We don't anticipate any big changes to the Tucson Hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid for this year. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is expected to start around $35,000 and go up to $49,000 depending on the trim and options. Blue $35,000 (est) SEL Convenience $38,000 (est) N Line $40,000 (est) SEL PHEV $42,000 (est) Limited $43,000 (est) Limited PHEV $49,000 (est) Of the available trims, the N Line hits the sweet spot, offering unique 19-inch wheels, sportier front and rear styling treatments, dark chrome exterior accents, a panoramic sunroof, and N Line badging. The cabin is draped in a combination of cloth and leather upholstery and features a Bose stereo, a dual-screen infotainment system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It also comes with Highway Driving Assistant, which is Hyundai's adaptive cruise control system with an integrated lane-centering feature. If you're after the PHEV model, it's unfortunately not offered with the N Line appearance items, but the plug-in SEL trim's features should satisfy most buyers. Engine, Transmission, and Performance A turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor make a combined 231 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque in the Hybrid, or 268 horses and the same torque in the PHEV. Power is funneled through a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. In our initial test drive of the Tucson Hybrid, we found that the updates don't do much to change the pleasant driving demeanor. No, neither of these powertrains will pin your back to the seat, but it is the kind of pep you'll be glad to have at every stoplight and highway on-ramp. In everyday driving, the solid steering, comfy ride, and confident handling complement one of the electrified Tucson's best features: its hushed interior when at cruising speed. 0–60-MPH Times At our test track, our loaded Limited Hybrid test vehicle from the 2022 model year managed a 7.1-second run to 60 mph, 1.7 seconds quicker than the 0–60 time of the nonhybrid Tucson. With the more powerful electric motor onboard, the latest gas-electric Tucson could be slightly quicker. The Tucson Hybrid's rival, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, did the 60-mph march in 7.3 seconds in our testing. View Photos Hyundai Range, Charging, and Battery Life Plug-in-hybrid Tucsons use a 13.8-kWh battery pack that delivers an EPA-estimated 33 miles of electric-only driving. A 7.2-kW onboard charger can fully recharge the battery in about two hours when connected to a Level 2 charging station. Though the Tucson PHEV's total range, how far you can go starting with a full charge and full tank of gas, is good—380 highway miles according to C/D real-world testing—it failed to make our list of the longest-range PHEVs we've tested. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA hasn't released any fuel-economy information for the 2026 Tucson Hybrid yet, but the most efficient 2025 hybrid model earned ratings of 38 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined, while the 2025 Tucson PHEV scored 77 MPGe with the electric motor contributing and 35 mpg combined once the battery's charge is depleted. For more information about the Tucson Hybrid's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Hyundai's design department has proved itself adept at creating modern interiors for affordable offerings, and the Tucson doesn't disappoint. Its uncluttered dashboard design features a pair of 12.3-inch screens—one optional for the instrument panel and one standard for infotainment—and some much-appreciated physical switchgear for HVAC and volume/tuning control. Elsewhere in the interior, the theme is dark texture with bright accents. The cabin makes a comfortable space for four adults, and we were able to fit nine carry-on suitcases behind the second-row seats. With the second-row seats folded, luggage capacity rose to 22 bags. View Photos Hyundai Infotainment and Connectivity Hyundai updated the Tucson's tech last year with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen as standard and the reappearance of some physical buttons and knobs for quicker, more intuitive access to core functions. Upper trim levels come with a new two-screens-in-one dashboard layout, which replaces the Tucson Hybrid's analog gauge cluster with another 12.3-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range, and the center console includes an available wireless charging pad. Buyers need to step up to the N Line or Limited trim for extras like Bose premium audio. Other high-tech offerings include Hyundai's digital key smartphone app, which provides lock and unlock features as well as an option for remote start. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features A host of driver-assistance features are available on the Tucson Hybrid and PHEV, many of which come standard. For more information about the hybrid Tucson's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist Available adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature Warranty and Maintenance Coverage In the compact SUV market, only one rival offers as much warranty coverage as the Tucson Hybrid, and that's its corporate cousin, the Kia Sportage Hybrid. The Hyundai still holds an advantage over the Kia in this area, though, thanks to its generous complimentary scheduled maintenance program. Limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles Complimentary maintenance is covered for three years or 36,000 miles Specifications Specifications 2025 Hyundai Tucson Vehicle Type: front-engine or front-engine and front-motor, front- or all-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door wagon PRICE SE FWD, $29,750; SE AWD, $31,250; Blue Hybrid, $34,510; SEL Plug-In Hybrid, $40,775 POWERTRAINS DOHC 16-valve 2.5-liter inline-4, 187 hp, 178 lb-ft; turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 1.6-liter inline-4, 178 hp, 195 lb-ft + AC motor, 64 hp, 195 lb-ft (combined output: 231 hp, 271 lb-ft; 1.0-kWh [C/D est] lithium-ion battery pack); turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 1.6-liter inline-4, 178 hp, 195 lb-ft + AC motor, 97 hp, 224 lb-ft (combined output: 268 hp, 271 lb-ft; 12.0-kWh [C/D est] lithium-ion battery pack; 7.2-kW on-board charger) Transmissions: 8-speed or 6-speed automatic DIMENSIONS Wheelbase: 108.5 in Length: 182.7–183.1 in Width: 73.4 in Height: 65.6–66.3 in Passenger Volume, F/R: 53–55/52–53 ft3 Cargo Volume, Behind F/R: 32–39/66–75 ft3 Curb Weight (C/D est): 3500–4300 lb PERFORMANCE (C/D EST) 60 mph: 7.2–9.0 sec 1/4-Mile: 15.0–17.0 sec Top Speed: 115–122 mph EPA FUEL ECONOMY (C/D EST) Combined/City/Highway: 26–38/24–38/30–38 mpg PHEV Combined Gasoline + Electricity: 77 MPGe PHEV EV Range: 32 mi More Features and Specs

2026 Honda Accord Review: Expert Insights, Pricing, and Trims

Like the compact Civic, the Accord is a cornerstone of the Honda brand, tracing its lineage back to the 1970s. Throughout its history, the Accord has taken on various forms—including hatchback and two-door coupe versions—but the latest model stays true to the classic four-door sedan layout. The 2026 Honda Accord's midsize sedan competitors include the Kia K5, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata. What's New The 2026 Honda Accord could be a completely refreshed model this year. If that happens, look for mildly revisedfront and rear exterior styling details as well as new wheel styles. More important, expect some standard features on the Hybrid to trickle down to gas trims, like the larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charger. Higher trims of the Accord are set up with the hybrid powertrain as standard, while the lower trims are only available with a non-hybrid gas engine. We don't expect this to change. What We Think The Accord has built an excellent reputation as a comfortable, capable, and generally pleasant midsize sedan. The 11th generation model largely sticks to that script, though in some ways it's not as good as the version that precedes it. Both gas and hybrid models are punchy off the line, but the hybrid loses steam as it gains speed and battery power falls off. The gas Accord is slower than the previous one. Ride and handling balance are good regardless of powertrain, and the Honda delivers solid brakes and a neutral chassis. That said, at speed, wind and road noise become noticeable in the cabin. Cabin styling is an Accord strength, the sedan employing a more mature-looking version of the interior in the Civic. However, there needs to be a way to outfit lower gas variants with available features that come with the hybrid trims, like the larger central touchscreen and premium interior materials. Maybe the 2026 Accord will pick up where the 2025 Accord's SE value model left off . Thanks to its better driving experience, longer range, and superior technology, we prefer the 2026 Accord in hybrid form over gas, but both are solid options in a competitive segment. MotorTrend Tested All 2026 Accords have FWD; AWD midsize sedan options are available with the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Kia K5, and Hyundai Sonata. There's a small chance the 2026 Accord will go all-hybrid, but we suspect both powertrains will return. The gas-only powertrain features a 1.5-liter turbo-four that makes 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, and a CVT automatic. In MotorTrend testing, a non-hybrid 2023 EX accelerated to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds, which is just fine. The hybrid-only Toyota Camry is quicker, though. The 2026 Accord Hybrid is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor integrated into the sedan's CVT. Output is rated at 204 hp combined, enough to propel the Accord Hybrid to 60 mph in an MT-tested 6.6 seconds. MPGs and Range Fuel economy ratings aren't expected to change compared to last year. Gas models should return roughly 29/37 mpg city/highway and be able to go as far as 474 miles on a full tank. The most efficient Hybrid will likely continue to be the EX-L, which gets 51/44 mpg for 2025 and can travel up to 614 miles with a topped-off tank. Hybrid Sport and Touring trims roll on bigger mpg-sapping 19-inch wheels and return a little less: 46/41 mpg and up to 563 miles of driving range. Safety Ratings and Features Last year's Accord earned impressive safety ratings, and the same should be true for the 2026 model. From IIHS, the Honda sedan received a 2025 Top Safety Pick+, the institute's top award. The model also receives NHTSA's top distinction, a five-star overall safety rating. The Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist features is standard with every Accord. Standard equipment includes: Automatic emergency braking Lane keeping Adaptive cruise control Automatic high-beams Traffic sign recognition Moving up to higher trims unlocks blind-spot and rear cross-traffic monitors, front and rear parking sensors, and low-speed braking control. Cargo Space and Interior Room Interior space in the 2026 Accord compares favorably to its age-old rival, the Toyota Camry. The Honda sedan also features a good-sized trunk. Technology As updates this year, we're looking for Honda to move some premium features from the Hybrid to the gas models. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, a wireless phone charger, and the 12.3-inch touchscreen could all migrate to at least one lower trim level. The Accord's standard 10.2-inch driver display and Wi-Fi hot spot will likely remain unchanged. Upgrades will probably include eight- and 12-speaker audio and a head-up display. Value Recommended Trim If the 2026 Honda Accord lineup retains the same trims as last year, we think the EX-L represents the sweet spot. With the 2026 Accord EX-L, you get a couple premium features and the refined hybrid powertrain with better acceleration and a longer driving range without the mpg-sapping large wheels of the Sport and Touring trims.
