Indeed, towards the end of the game, world No1 Humphries managed to miss three shots at a D6 to clinch victory. It gave Littler, who beat Nathan Aspinall in the semis, the opportunity to close the gap on his throw. But the teen sensation only managed to score 22. Both players appeared bemused as they also had to deal with the rays of the setting sun.
