On Tuesday, many districts in Telangana experienced significant rainfall, and Wednesday continued this pattern, with expectations of further heavy rains on Thursday. Officials from the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre have warned that northern and central districts of Telangana are likely to face very heavy rains due to the effects of both eastern and western weather troughs. Affected areas include Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mancherial districts, all of which are under alert. Moreover, heavy rains are anticipated in Mahabubabad, Khammam, Vikarabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Hanumakonda, Warangal, Janagama, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Peddapalli, and Siddipet districts, which have received a yellow alert. Light to moderate rains are expected in the remaining districts, including the capital, Hyderabad. Officials are advising residents, especially those in low-lying areas, to remain vigilant in light of the forecasts.

This trough extends from 13 degrees north latitude, traversing north-central Karnataka to the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh, bringing with it the forecast of widespread rain in the Telugu states over the next three days. The Amaravati Meteorological Centre has issued a heavy rain warning for Andhra Pradesh, predicting light to heavy rainfall in several districts, including Alluri Seetharamaraju, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, and Prakasam. Additionally, isolated areas in the remaining districts are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has declared an orange alert for 18 districts of Telangana and a yellow alert for another 12 districts due to potential heavy rain. Areas likely to face significant rainfall include Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, and Nagarkurnool. Scattered rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, are anticipated across all districts of Telangana. Meteorological officials have also warned of gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in some locations.

Areas anticipated to experience light to heavy thundershowers on Sunday include Alluri, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Sathya Sai, Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati. Prakhar Jain noted that light to moderate rain is also expected in several other districts. Meanwhile, an alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Telangana for Sunday and Monday, with predictions of significant downpours in nine districts. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has reported that moderate rain could occur in various locations, as a trough extends to the northeast Bay of Bengal and continues from southern Karnataka to the southern coastal Andhra coast at an altitude of 5.8 km above sea level. Specifically, on Sunday, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Nagarkurnool, and Wanaparthy districts are bracing for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Officials warned that on Monday, all districts in Telangana should expect moderate rain, coupled with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour.

The Meteorological Department has announced that both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are likely to see rain over the next two to three days. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, a trough extends from the northeast Arabian Sea to the surface circulation in the Gangetic West Bengal region, passing through north Gujarat, north Madhya Pradesh, southeast Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand at an altitude of 3.1 to 5.8 kilometres above mean sea level. As a result, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, is expected in several districts of Telangana. In Telangana, areas such as Adilabad, Komarambhim, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, and Sangareddy could see moderate rainfall on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Amaravati Meteorological Department has indicated that Andhra Pradesh will also experience rains with thunder and lightning across multiple regions. The trough, which has reached from the northeast Arabian Sea to the northwest Bay of Bengal, will persist from north Gujarat to the northern sections of the Gangetic coast of West Bengal. Therefore, light to moderate rains and thundershowers are expected to occur widely in the north coastal areas and Yanam, as well as in Rayalaseema. Wind speeds in the region could reach 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. On Sunday, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in parts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Seetharama Raju, Anakapalle, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Nannur, and Bapatla districts.

Regarding temperatures, Khammam-1 is predicted to reach a maximum of 37.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while Mahabubnagar may see a minimum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius. In Andhra Pradesh, similar weather conditions are anticipated, with the possibility of moderate to light rain across many districts, also stemming from the same climatic factors affecting Telangana.
