I-DLE's Shuhua faces backlash; criticized by fans for ‘lack of communication'—deets 'inside!
I-DLE, who recently rebranded from their old name, (G)I-DLE, have been making headlines for their new image and latest comeback. One of the members, Shuhua, however, has been at the forefront of criticism from fans and netizens alike for not maintaining enough contact with fans in the past few months. Shuhua was called out for not communicating with fans The idol has been under fire recently for not communicating enough with fans. A netizen online pointed out that the idol had last used a paid fan forum platform to post a message to fans on July 25, 2024. Since then, Shuhua had not used any online platform to directly connect with fans. Her latest comment came this year on May 2, 2025, with many fans pointing out how the idol had taken 281 days in total in order to connect with fans directly. Fans also pointed out that while all of the other members of the group had been actively interacting with fans and using their online accounts to share comeback teasers, Shuhua had only used the fan forum platform 10 times in total. Some even pointed out that the members had used the live stream feature to tease the comeback, while Shuhua had posted a message in the middle of the night regarding the comeback. Netizens react to Shuhua's viral behavior After many people started pointing out the idol's actions, K-netizens took to online platforms and fan forums to share their disdain over the idol. One commented, 'She hasn't improved in nearly 10 years. No growth in skills, no better communication. What are people even stanning her for? Living off just her looks for 10 years? That's way too long. There are plenty of alternatives out there, yet fans keep getting played and still stick around…' Another fan commented on the viral post and stated that 'She knows fans are upset; the other members have said stuff, the company's said stuff, and even the staff around her have spoken up, but she deliberately chooses not to communicate. Makes you wonder if she sees fans as complete suckers. LOL.'

Winners announced for the 34th Seoul Music Awards
Seoul- After five months of unexpected delays, the 34th Seoul Music Awards was finally held in June 21st 2025 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea. With powerful performances and unexpected wins from the powerful pop stars and soloists who attended the event, the night granted fans and artists alike an opportunity to celebrate some of South Korea's biggest musical achievements in the year of 2024. Highlights of this award ceremony included I-DLE, the group formerly known as (G)I-DLE winning their very first Daesang (Grand Prize) award. Making it the first time in 14 years a girl group to win the award. While the boy-group TXT winning 3 awards for Best Album, Best Song for their song Déjà vu and a Bonsang (Main Prize) along with other notable k-pop groups such as ENHYPHEN, G-DRAGON and BLACKPINK this year. BTS members managed to keep up their winning streak during this award ceremony, further cementing they're in the music industry as Jimin, a fellow member of BTS, received the Korean Wave Award for his role in promoting Korean culture to the rest of the world. While their famous girl-group counterpart BLACKPINK vocalist ROSÉ gained well-deserved praise and recognition for becoming the first female soloist to win a Bonsang at the music awards, all while she won an additional award in the World Best Artist Award Category for her latest album Rosie. As this year's awards ceremony draws to a close, all eyes are on the recent award winners as fans wait with bated breath for what comes next.

TWICE Mina (트와이스 미나) According to TWICE member Mina, the best tip for an enviable selfie is to find a spot with good lighting. She also recommends setting your camera higher at a 45-degree angle – not too much, not too little. Incorporating simple poses could also enhance your selfies. She also said idols often do the 'cheek heart' pose, where you curve your hand and put it beside your cheek. ENHYPEN Sunoo (엔하이픈 선우) ENHYPEN's resident selfie master, Sunoo, has a lot of tips for the best selfies. First, he recommends checking yourself in a mirror to ensure you look good. The perfect selfie! I-DLE Miyeon (아이들 미연) I-DLE member Miyeon is so dedicated to taking selfies that she even has a video on the topic. While her video focuses on taking selfies at photobooths, you can apply the same tips to phone selfies. In her video, Miyeon recommends wearing something that complements your skin tone. She also used props in some of her photos, so try those out if you need help with poses. SEVENTEEN Jun (세븐틴 준/文俊辉) The tips that SEVENTEEN member Jun shared might not be conventional, but sometimes going against the norm can give you the best results. South Korean actor Park Jun Hwi caught cheating with co-star Woo Jin Young; half-naked pic, intimate convo revealed
South Korean actors Park Jun Hwi and Woo Jin Young are embroiled in a cheating scandal. According to an Allkpop report, picture proof of their affair was posted on Park's Instagram account. The internet speculates that Park's fiancée caught the actors red-handed. One picture showed them sitting together on a sofa with their heads bowed down, with Park sitting in only underwear and a T-shirt. Another was a photo of intimate conversations between the two that the website translated as: Park: Can I go shower after I change? Woo: Is it okay to shower? Park: Since I'm showering with the door closed, there won't be any sounds. Woo: It should be okay, right? Park: Yep. I'll close the door. Raise the volume. Park deactivated his Instagram account as the news picked up and pictures went viral. Park was engaged to his girlfriend, and fans speculated that she was the one who exposed their affair on his Instagram. According to the publication, one person wrote, 'From the photos, it looks like the fiancé caught them red-handed and took the photos and posted them.' Another said, 'The fiancé is smart posting the photos on the guy's public account.' One commented, 'Wow, the first photo totally looks like it's from a cheating scene…' Another noticed, 'He's only wearing underwear in that photo? Wow…' Park and Woo were co-stars in the stage play Bare: A Pop Opera and Park was also part of Nijinsky. Production company Show Play Entertainment announced on 5 June that both actors have withdrawn from their performances due to 'personal reasons'. The statement read: 'Actors Park Jun Hwi, who played Peter, and Woo Jin Young, who played Tanya, have withdrawn from the performances due to personal reasons. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to the audience due to the actors' withdrawal and the resulting casting changes. Those who wish to cancel or receive a refund due to the casting changes can do so without any fees through the ticketing agency.' Kang Byung-hoon and Park Do Yeon are stepping in for Park and Woo in Bare. Both actors have yet to release a statement on the controversy.

I-DLE's MINNIE To Make Special Appearance In KL This July
Although she has admitted she's not the best at replying to messages, I-DLE (아이들) member MINNIE (민니/มินนี่) still made sure to answer fans' calls for her to visit. The 'Queen Card' singer has now been confirmed to make a special appearance in Kuala Lumpur next month! Following the success of the recent BRICE Truffle launch event featuring 4 members of TREASURE, ecoBrown teased fans with the promise of another K-pop idol visiting Malaysia for an upcoming event. From the silhouette photo posted online, many were quick to correctly guess that the mystery idol was none other than MINNIE of I-DLE. Yesterday (Thursday, 5th June), ecoBrown officially announced that MINNIE will be making a special appearance in Kuala Lumpur soon. Although further details have yet to be revealed, it's reasonable to assume that the 'BRICE with MINNIE' event will follow a similar format to the previous one with TREASURE, where fans had the opportunity to meet and take photos with the artists. 'Something very special is in the works for our fans and customers 💫. We will be rewarding fans with unforgettable moments with the idol, up close and personal 💕,' the brand captioned the post on Instagram. Unlike the previous event, the upcoming appearance by the I-DLE member will take place over the weekend, on Saturday, 12th July 2025. The time and venue are expected to be announced at a later date. That's not all—MINNIE is also set to make an additional appearance for another brand, Nuuna Malaysia. This event is expected to be a more intimate fan meet, similar in style to TREASURE's recent one in KL. According to the promotional poster, the session will also take place on the same day at 5pm, with the venue yet to be revealed. Are you excited to see the idol live in person?
