Shefali Jariwala's Death 'Suspicious'? Police Search Her House, Question Cook

Shefali Jariwala's sudden death has left everyone shocked and numb. The actress passed away on Friday night at 42. Initially, it was said that the actress died due to cardiac arrest. However, if a new report by the news agency IANS is to be believed, the Mumbai police are seemingly considering the actress' death as suspicious. Reportedly, Mumbai Police have launched a Preliminary Investigation and are currently questioning the household cook and domestic help to ascertain the sequence of events leading to her death. A forensic team was also deployed to Shefali Jariwala's residence, where they conducted an extensive search of the premises. While no official statement has been issued about the cause or nature of her death, the presence of police and forensic officials suggests that the authorities are treating the case as suspicious. Shefali Jariwala became a household name in the early 2000s with her sizzling performance in the remix video Kaanta Laga, earning her the moniker 'Kaanta Laga Girl." She later featured in Salman Khan 's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. In later years, Shefali transitioned to reality TV and gained popularity through her participation in Nach Baliye with her husband, and later, Bigg Boss 13. Her entry into the Bigg Boss house was particularly talked about due to her history with fellow contestant and late actor Sidharth Shukla. The two had dated over a decade ago, but Shefali maintained that they were always respectful of each other on and off the show. Several television actors took to their respective social media handles to mourn the death of Shefali Jariwala. Himanshi Khurana, who also participated in Bigg Boss 13 with Shefali Jariwala, took to her Instagram stories and shared a throwback picture with the actress. 'Bigg Boss that place is cursed I think," she wrote. Kiku Sharda shared a picture of Shefali Jariwala on his Instagram handle and wrote, 'This is shocking!!!!!! worked with her on a couple of web shows, she was full of energy, full of life, always greeted all with a big bright smile. Will miss you Shefali, you were a beautiful soul❤️Rest in Peace. Om Shanti ????????." 4415 Indian nationals brought home from Iran and Israel under Operation Sindhu: MEA

(Photo: IANS/X/@MEAIndia) New Delhi: A total of 4415 Indian nationals – 3597 from Iran and 818 from Israel – have been evacuated so far using 19 special evacuation flights during Operation Sindhu, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday. The evacuated Indian nationals included more than 1500 women and 500 children. The flights, including three C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force, also brought home 14 OCI card-holders, nine Nepali nationals, four Sri Lankan nationals and one Iranian spouse of an Indian national. As tensions escalated in West Asia, the government of India had launched Operation Sindhu on June 18 to evacuate Indian nationals from conflict zones in Iran and Israel. On June 17-18, Indian Missions in Tehran, Yerevan, and Ashgabat coordinated the evacuation of Indian nationals from Iran through land border crossings to Armenia and Turkmenistan. Special evacuation flights commenced on June 18 and facilitated the return of Indian nationals to New Delhi. The majority of evacuations were carried out through Mashhad, after Iran opened its airspace for evacuation flights under Operation Sindhu on June 20 on New Delhi's request. 'We thank the Government of Iran for this gesture. A total of 3597 Indian nationals — including students, workers, professionals, pilgrims and fishermen – from more than 15 Indian states – were brought back to India from Yerevan, Ashgabat and Mashhad from June 18-26 using 15 special evacuation flights,' the MEA stated. The Israel leg of Operation Sindhu commenced on June 23 with the Indian Missions in Tel Aviv, Ramallah, Amman and Cairo facilitating the movement of Indian nationals across land borders to Jordan and Egypt. A total of 818 Indian nationals were evacuated, including students, workers and professionals. They were evacuated from Amman and Sharm al Sheikh from June 22-25 using four evacuation flights, including three IAF C-17 aircraft. 'The Government of India is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad. Under PM Narendra Modi's guidance, Operation Sindhu is another demonstration of this commitment. We thank the Governments of Iran, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Armenia and Turkmenistan for their support during Operation Sindhu. Indian Missions will stay engaged with host Governments and the Indian community in Iran, Israel and the wider West Asia region,' read the statement issued by the MEA. It added that, in view of the re-opening of the airspace, evacuation operations were halted on June 25 and further actions will be taken based on the evolving situation in West Asia.

Maahi talks about how he deals with comparisons with father Shaan
The son of acclaimed singer Shaan has come up with his single, "Jaan Se Zyada". Released on Friday, he is accompanied by Aadhya Anand in the music video. Andhra Woman Dies After Electric Scooter Battery Explodes While Charging At Home
Last Updated: The victim, identified as Venkata Lakshmamma, was asleep on a sofa near the two-wheeler when the explosion happened A 62-year-old woman died after the battery of an electric scooter exploded while it was being charged inside her house in Andhra Pradesh's YSR Kadapa district. The incident took place in Potladurthi village of Yerraguntla mandal on Friday. The victim, identified as Venkata Lakshmamma, was asleep on a sofa near the two-wheeler when the explosion happened. She suffered severe burn injuries and died on the spot. The blast also triggered a fire that completely destroyed the scooter and damaged nearby household items. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Additionally, the body has been sent to the government hospital in Proddatur for a post-mortem examination. This is not the first such incident reported in the region. In recent years, both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have witnessed several cases of electric vehicle (EV) battery explosions, many of which occurred while the vehicles were charging. In 2022 alone, the two Telugu states recorded around eight incidents involving e-bikes, homes, showrooms, and even a hotel catching fire due to battery blasts. These incidents claimed at least 10 lives and injured many others. Investigations suggested that most of the explosions were caused by overcharging. One of the most tragic cases took place in Hyderabad in September 2022, when a fire broke out in an e-bike showroom located in the cellar of a multi-storey building. The fire spread to a hotel on the upper floors, resulting in the deaths of eight people. Other similar incidents include a massive blaze in October 2022 that destroyed 36 electric bikes in a showroom in Palakonda town, and a battery explosion in November 2024 in Jagtial district, which set fire to a home. In April 2022, a man in Vijayawada was killed and three of his family members were injured after a newly purchased electric scooter exploded while charging at home. The plot revolves around Dhruv, who has experienced personal grief, takes it upon himself to track down a serial killer who appears to be targeting young females. The killer appears to inject a drug into the victims, leaving their bodies burned. As cops approach and interrogate a suspect, they find they are dealing with someone far more powerful than expected. Aside from Vijay Antony, key players include Ajay Dhishan, Samuthirakani, Brigida, Deepshikha, Mahanathi Shankar, and Vinodh Sagar. Vijay Antony composed the film's music, while his wife, Fatima Vijay Antony, produced it. S Yuva is the cinematographer, and Leo John Paul is the editor.
