Thirst Quenchers 2025 Fourth Week Successful
The Indian Community Welfare Association – ICRF Bahrain continues its annual summer awareness program — Thirst Quenchers 2025. The fourth week event of ICRF Thirst Quenchers 2025 was held yesterday at a worksite near Alba. Aligning with the Ministry of Labour's initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering three months, ICRF Bahrain distributed water, juice, laban, orange, apple, and banana at the worksite of Al Ghana Aluminium located near Alba. This year, the event is supported by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), and IOM. Around 150 workers took part in the event. Ms Nedal Abdulla Al Alawai from the Ministry of Interior, Mr Hasan Al Aradi, Head of Occupational Safety & Health Inspection from the Ministry of Labour, and Mr Yaser Al Saffar, Member at the Bahrain Health & Safety Society, joined the distribution and spoke about the support extended to workers by each organisation.

Summer Awareness Campaign for workers successful
The Ministry of Interior Community Affairs Directorate conducted Summer Awareness Campaign for workers in association with ICRF Bahrain and the Indian Club. The event held on Friday, 11 July 2025 saw nearly 375 workers participating from various labour camps. ICRF Joint Secretary Javad Pasha welcomed Ministry of Interior officials Captain Noora Al Tamimi, Captain Fatema Al Ameeri, Captain Duaa Al Jowder, Captain Hamad Al Jar, Ms Nadal Al Alaiwi - Head of Communication and Public Relations, along with other officials to the program. Program The program started with Laughter Yoga conducted by Yoga Master K M Thomas which was followed by presentations on Fraud and breach of trust, Fire and Safety and My Government App (Reporting Service) by the Ministry of Interior officials. Every day we hear about rising cases of people losing their money or data as fraud and breach of trust, often targeting unsuspecting individuals through deception and false promises. Awareness Through their presentation Ministry created awareness on how to stay alert, protect data and help others do the same and build a safer and more trustworthy community. The second presentation was on Fire and Safety explaining the way to handle safety procedures, fire extinguishers etc. The third presentation was on using My Government App for a range of services to submit reports and complaints. Services Users can easily register, access various government services and file reports with simplicity efficiency and speed. Violinist Nitin Raveendran and various singers and dancers from workers gathered entertained the crowd.

Third week event of ICRF Thirst Quenchers successful
The Indian Community Welfare Association – ICRF Bahrain continues its annual summer awareness program – Thirst Quenchers 2025. The third week event of ICRF Thirst Quenchers 2025 was held on Sunday, 6 July 2025, at a worksite in Mina Salman. Aligning with the Ministry of Labour's initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering three months, ICRF Bahrain distributed water, juice, laban, orange, apple and banana at the worksite of Kontra located in Mina Salman. This year, the event is supported by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and IOM. Around 130 workers took part in the event. Ms Nedal Abdulla Alalawai from the Ministry of Interior spoke about their commitment in supporting the workers. ICRF Chairman Adv. V K Thomas talked about general health and safety precautions to be taken. The Bohra community and generous volunteers have shown strong support for this project.

ICRF Thirst Quenchers 2025 second week held at Salmaniya worksite
The Indian Community Welfare Association – ICRF Bahrain continues its annual summer awareness program – Thirst Quenchers 2025. Aligning with the Ministry of Labour's initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering three months, ICRF Bahrain distributed water, juice, laban, orange, apple and banana at the worksite of Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company located in Salmaniya. This year, the event is supported by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour, LMRA and IOM. Around 150 workers took part in the event. Guests from Ministry of Interior, Ms Nedal Abdulla Alalawai, from Ministry of Labour - Mr Hasan AlAradi – Head of Occupational Safety & Health Inspection and from LMRA - Mr Fahad AlBinali, all spoke about the support extended to the workers by each Ministries. Advisor Dr Babu Ramachandran talked about health and safety precautions to be taken during the summer months. ICRF Chairman Adv. V K Thomas, Joint Secretaries Javad Pasha and Suresh Babu, Vice Chairmen Prakash Mohan and Pankaj Nallur, Treasurer Uday Shanbhagh, Thirst Quenchers Coordinators Faisal Madapally and Siraj, Sivakumar, Ajayakrishnan, Zulfiqar Moiz, Kalpana Patil, Sandra Palanna, Althea D'Souza, HSE Officer Rajesh Sadanand along with enthusiastic students have joined the distribution. As in previous years, the Bohra community and generous volunteers have shown strong support for this project.

Aligning with the Ministry of Labour's initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering three-month period starting from 15 June 2025, ICRF Bahrain will distribute water, juice, laban, orange, apple, and banana at various worksites.
