Delhi govt set to adopt UP's IGRS, CM Dashboard to boost functioning
Lucknow: The BJP-run Delhi govt will be adopting UP govt's Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and the CM Dashboard to improve its govt's functioning. A team from Delhi govt was in Lucknow recently for two days to study these models, implemented by chief minister Yogi Adityanath . "The Delhi govt has formally requested support from the UP govt to implement the IGRS and CM Dashboard in Delhi. The request reflects growing recognition of UP's governance innovations under Yogi Adityanath's leadership," said a govt spokesperson. The official said that delegations from various states have been coming to UP to study the various models of efficient governance that have been implemented in the state. He said that Delhi govt officials, who were in UP most recently, were extremely impressed with the IGRS and Dashboard models. A few months earlier, UP govt had made a presentation on these two models before the Delhi govt. The team explained how the two were ensuring that govt was not just able to keep a tab on public opinion, their needs and feedback, but also on how govt departments were functioning. "Subsequently, a team of Delhi govt officials visited Lucknow for an in-depth, two-day assessment of both the administrative and technical aspects of the systems. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Sperm May Boost Your Income SpellRock Undo The team recognized the model as technically sound, citizen-centric, and highly effective," the official added. The CM had launched the IGRS to provide a quick, transparent and accountable mechanism for resolving public complaints. The CM Dashboard, on the other hand, serves as a real-time monitoring tool to track progress and ensure quality in development works across the state.

Plaints redress poor on IGRS, officials face salary freeze
Noida: District magistrate Manish Kumar Verma ordered a salary freeze for officials across 18 departments after flagging high percentages of unresolved or unsatisfactorily resolved complaints filed on the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal portal. While charing a review meeting at the Collectorate on Thursday, the DM noted that more than 50% of the complaints filed on IGRS portal for departments like Excise Department, Labour Department, Community Health Centre Jewar, Public Works Department, Panchayati Raj, and others received negative feedback from complainants. He instructed the IGRS in-charge to immediately stop the salaries of concerned officials in these departments until further notice and issue show-cause notices seeking their explanation. "Officials must monitor the IGRS portal daily and take personal responsibility for resolving complaints. Simply closing files without fixing the issue is not acceptable. If a case comes under your login, coordinate with concerned departments, if needed, and resolve it with urgency," the DM said. 14,000 bottles of illicit liquor seized in city
Lucknow: Gosainganj police on Saturday seized a large consignment of 14,484 bottles (4,961 litres) of illicit liquor concealed beneath iron pipes in a truck headed to Bihar from Punjab and arrested two smugglers. The accused were identified as Dinesh Parmar (driver) and Jagdish (cleaner), both residents of Khachrod Chapaneer, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. Investigations revealed that the liquor, manufactured in Himachal Pradesh and licensed only for sale in Chandigarh, was hidden inside welded 1.5-foot pipes, placed beneath 120 long iron pipes in a truck. The duo confessed to selling the liquor in Bihar at three times the MRP, estimating this consignment alone would have fetched over Rs 1 crore in the black market. They used the Signal app to coordinate with suppliers and buyers, taking advantage of its encrypted communication to maintain anonymity. The truck belonged to Vinay Kumar Mishra of Shardanagar, Lucknow, who had rented it out to Rohtas of Sangrur, Punjab, for Rs 40,000 a month. Rohtas stopped payments in Oct 2024 and never returned the vehicle, prompting Mishra to file an IGRS complaint and a court case. The smugglers later fitted fake number plates on the truck and forged RC documents for illegal use. DCP South Zone Nipun Agarwal said the consignment was falsely billed as a 10.6-ton iron pipe shipment from RK Enterprises (Delhi) to Bipin Enterprises (Assam), dated July 15, 2025.

SI suspended for seeking sexual favours from minor for filing rape FIR
Meerut: A sub-inspector (SI) and a constable in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district have been suspended after a 17-year-old rape survivor, who had gone to the police station to lodge a complaint, said the officer demanded sexual favours in exchange for registering an FIR. The constable was suspended for tampering with digital evidence, officials said on Wednesday. The survivor, from a minority community, had visited the police station with her mother on July 8 and submitted a written complaint and registered it through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS). However, SI Udaiveer Singh allegedly delayed the FIR and began sending obscene and provocative text messages to the survivor. The girl told TOI, "He said the complaint would only be registered after an inquiry. During questioning, he took my phone number and, on the same night, started sending vulgar messages. He said the FIR would be filed only if I spent a night with him." Singh allegedly made voice and video calls to the girl on WhatsApp. "He told my daughter, 'Just like you cooperated with the other people, you'll have to do the same with me once, then I'll file your complaint.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esse novo alarme com câmera é quase gratuito em Curitibanos (consulte o preço) Alarmes Undo When she refused, he said everything would be resolved if she spent a night alone with him," her mother added. The next morning, when the mother went to the police station, Singh allegedly made lewd remarks. "He said the complaint wouldn't be registered until both of us pleased him. He even shouted at us and drove us away," she said. Despite repeated refusals, Singh allegedly continued to contact the girl with inappropriate messages. On Monday, the girl's mother approached Rampur SP Vidyasagar Mishra. That night, constable Mohd Sarfaraz visited their home and allegedly deleted all call logs and messages from the girl's phone. However, the digital evidence had already been submitted to the SP and had circulated online. Mishra suspended both the SI and the constable. "An inquiry has been set up against the two, and they have been suspended with immediate effect," he said.
