On top of the new coach effect, Sullivan is a proven winner and a two-time Stanley Cup champion. Upon his arrival to Pittsburgh, Sullivan helped establish a strong culture around Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang. Sullivan's direct and passionate attitude is exactly what this Rangers team needs at the moment. He'll bring a jolt of energy that not many head coaches are able to provide. The Rangers have the talent, but there was clearly something wrong with the team internally, something that Sullivan can help fix. However, one coach cannot magically cure all of the Rangers' problems. Defensively, the Blueshirts are just not strong and that might take a change in personnel and improvements from players like Adam Fox and K'Andre Miller. From an offensive standpoint, the Rangers will heavily depend on their veterans, a.k.a. Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Vincent Trocheck, and J.T. Miller to carry the load. There's a call for the Blueshirts to make major changes over the offseason, but it will be difficult for Rangers president and general manager Chris Drury to make any drastic roster moves due to the team's cap flexibility. That means it will likely be a quiet summer for the Rangers and next season's results will heavily depend on some of these returning players having bounce-back years. Sullivan can partially turn this Rangers ship around, but it will take more than just him.

Will Cuylle Makes Positive Impression At IIHF World Campionship Despite Canada's Disastrous Collapse
While Team Canada may have not ended the 2025 IIHF Men's World Championship the way they would have wanted to, Will Cuylle had an impressive showing at the tournament. Cuylle joined a team full of some of the NHL's best players including Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, but he was still able to stand out. Will Cuylle Wants To Give Back To Canada At World Championship After a breakout second year in the NHL with the New York Rangers, Will Cuylle is ready for more. The 23-year-old forward recorded two goals, two assists, and four points in eight games for Team Canada. Throughout the tournament, Cuylle seemed to get better and look more comfortable as he brought his same physically-minded play style he's been known for with the New York Rangers. 'We see the same thing, big, physical skates all around player,' Canada head coach Dean Evason said of Cuylle during the tournament. 'It's unfortunate and or fortunate that we have 13 forwards, and some guys get not as much ice time as they normally get, so maybe don't get into the game, but we really like the way that he plays the game. His presence moving forward, his physicality, will be a big part of our success.' Cuylle mostly played a fourth-line role, but Canada Evason shuffled the lines a couple of times and even had Cuylle playing with MacKinnon at one point. It's safe to say that this is just the start for Cuylle.
